2Peter 2:1-2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies even denying(renouncing, twisting the truth of) the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many(in the church) shall follow their destructive ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. (Truth not only jettisoned but mocked).

Proverbs 29:24 Whoever is a partner :)halaq: to be divided in loyalty, speak deceit, to flatter), with a thief (gannab: kidnapper, a stealer of sheep) hates (sane: be an adversary to, be a foe to) his own soul (life), he hears cursing (ala: execrations: denouncing or renouncing, truth twisting), and bewrayeth (nagad: denounce, expose, surely tell, fully be shown, report) it not.

So here it is: Who ever allows a hireling, and even slobbers over with adoration, who has claimed the sheep are his, like in 'my flock', to spew forth falsehood for fun and profit, is actually bringing hurt on himself, by saying nothing to counter it.

KJV. Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul. He hears cursing, and bewrayeth it not.

The thief comes not but for to steal, kill, and destroy. John 10:10. This is not the devil as is erroneously taught, but are men.

Like I said before, many are ignorant of what they are doing, but the word says they are thieves nonetheless!

Giving honor where it is due is a far cry from this exalting of one man as chief leader and hireling sheep owner.

Jesus is the only Shepherd of His sheep. All others are hirelings, John 10, that care not for the sheep but their packaged salaries and benefits.

The five fold ministries are gifts and functions to the body, not upper crust paid positions or offices for the golf match boys. Check your Greek.

Quit partnering with that which Christ condemned. It will lead, as this verse suggests, to your own hurt!

Yet I am saying this as kindly as I can but a lot of times when you post these kinds of things you don't realize you are describing yourself. You speak of Jesus with your mouth but your heart contradicts your words, I don't reply to you because I want to argue but because I know if you were to accept the advice many here have wisely given you and you changed your heart you could have great influence as a teacher and I have no doubt you could boldly proclaim the gospel in love like Paul did.

You have to stop rejecting correction and accept it, correction given in love can change a stone heart but that heart has to be willing to be taught. A wise man joyfully receives correction after all.

The pastor teacher has a God given gift to teach the word to ones who do not have the gift of teacher.

Even David dared not touch Gods anointed man...................King Saul. And King Saul was in deep, deep reversionism.

We need to be very careful, even with the pastor-teacher we see doing blatant false teachings or mis-representations.

Always attack the messenger. Never ever deal with word of God. And I know why. You can't.

No one is attacking you, now if say I was calling you names or using scripture to condemn you or was being mean and rude to you then yes I would be attacking you but yet you are in a discussion forum and debates are very common in such places if you see every post that goes against what you say as attacking then why are you even here?

I'm constantly repeating what Paul said and then told most folks would accept me as a teacher if Id get back to the bible. Hmmmm. I gotta think on that. I'm a little slow you know.

I mostly agree with yet also. But I don't think he realizes that there are local assemblies that do it right. And from what I read, he doesn't think there is one around and ALL and EVERYBODY is a heretic but him.

I respond to his threads because I feel him and know what he's talking about. We searched the scorched landscape for a LONG time to find a doctrinal assembly. Most are exactly as yet portrays, but there are true local assemblies out there.....................he acts as if there is none.

And he doesn't engage with anyone that wants to "hash" it out.

I don't understand what good it does to constantly focus on everything except Christ. It seems more leading others away instead
of pointing to him. Preachers are sent by God. To preach, if one is in the wrong let God deal with it. But to dwell, dwell and get others to hop on board is doing the same thing. Drawing others away.

I think the point is that "Yet" is stressing the need to learn from Jesus and not be disciples of denominationalism. In this he is scripturally sound.

I am sure that there are numerous assemblies who are Jesus focused and love God. The way that "Yet" appears to be learning from scripture and spirit led, defying worldly pressures is admirable. He may, as may I, one day be led to an assembly of truly like minded and zealous Christians who can lean on one another in love. In hope I will this for him.

Blessings.

And this is fine but the thing is this is all Yet talks about, all he posts about is the flaws of the church and the pastors making money and he openly puts down all other believers. I have discussed this with him before saying how posting about false teachers and prophets can be edifying but we need to also be speaking about God and his goodness encouraging our brethren and uplifting our sisters in Christ.

Yet cannot deal with correction he is stubborn in his view and if one cannot receive correction and grow in Christ from it then how can one correct others or even preach and teach?

Again I agree with you too. People like "Yet" are what I call God Selfish, this is admirable and comes from zeal but can lack a little love. I have this problem at times too.

This is clearly Our Lords plan for yet. This self learning point of view may be helped by the spirit of God keeping "Yet" on his pre determined track.

Until "Yet" is comfortable with not being comfortable around people of differing denominations he will remain stubbornly inward in focus. This may last for years until God asks him to Love better. It is clear that he may be reaching out, just by being on this site. Yet is clearly a bit of a loner in Christ, In this he is struggling but again I admire his testimonies as factually accurate if not a little blunt.

Blain, there's a few things I've learned & noticed in my short little life.....
One of them is wannabe christians that sing always wanna sing songs that don't uplift Christ or talk about the cross, the blood, etc. They wanna sing about Mamma, the church, exciting songs with no real message..... either get'em cryin', laughin' or on their feet clapping..... but NEVER a song with Gospel substance that promotes true worship.

It's the same way with the wannabe preachers/teachers..... always about Hell, sin, "the problem in da church is____", even the excitement about the "Holy Ghost & fire". Their intention is to either get the church to feel as low as a dog with his tail tucked between his legs or get them on their feet all stirred up preachin' on their favorite "sins they wanna hear condemned" list.

They don't preach grace, mercy, or love thy neighbor..... they always preach/teach up to the line, but they never cross it.

Why? Because they are false, & the love of God doesn't abide in them. They may have been doing this all their lives & don't even know it, 'cause that's the way they was raised.

There are some that will "seem" to cross the line & quote scripture about God's grace & so on..... but their intent doesn't equal/parallel the true intent of God or Christ..... creating 'another Jesus' and "another gospel", one without fruits or requirements of any kind. While they say they hate the "name it & claim it" doctrine, they do exactly that for their salvation..... no repentance, no confessing sin, Just 'I'm saved' & "Jesus did it all so I don't have to do anything"..... they "symbolize" the books of James & Hebrews to excuse their lack of fruit..... but faith without works is still dead, & spiritually so are they.
They "changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature (themselves) more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever". (Romans 1:25)

This is why the best of them never use multiple scriptures that compliment or confirm their doctrine, because they can't spiritually "connect the dots", or spiritually discern them (1Cor. 2:14).

The real irony is their claims on 'discernment' & 'knowledge', while most of them have neither. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.(Romans 1:22)

While I am not happy about it I agree completely with you, it hurts to know that this is in fact the state of heart of many and I can't imagine how badly it must father. It saddens me to agree with you because of how real all this is, love is growing colder and colder and many have forgotten what it means to be a Christian.

this is true, you have to have balance. you cannot be all sin, hell, judgement, but in the same breath, you also cannot do a live however, do whatever, and still be saved theology . balance. easy to say, but truthfully hard to do.
