This thread is about whether or not you feel people post on here instead of reading the bible...
If you wish to comment then feel free, the thread will be anonymous... And you are not required to state your opinion, but if you want to... Then feel free :)

I can't edit the poll :(
But It would have been intelligent to add a "mostly yes" and "mostly no" answer... You should create a new poll Ladybug since you have the intelligence :p
(seriously you should create one :p)

The only comment that I will offer at this time is that I wish to remain anonymous.

Don't think I'd be comfortable answering this poll. Is it really our place to question or presume how others spend their time? No one here can know for sure, so it's pretty much a judgment against people.

I'm pretty sure "most" do spend time reading their Bibles. I'm not sure whether "most" put forth time in studying what they read.

This is not said in judgment to or on anyone - just my HO . . . .

with that line of reasoning... Any statistics research would be against your world view...

I am not asking for condemnation...

Is it wrong to take a statistical sample? For instance is it wrong to ask people whether or not they think other people like Coke or Pepsi more?
Then why does it become wrong when you ask people if people post topics as an alternative to reading the Bible and educating themselves?

The only thing that has changed is how sensitive the subject is...

I rarely post threads asking specific questions about the bible. Usually I just hop onto a thread that is already talking about what I want to know, and ask on there. :) Do I read the bible? Just not as much as I should be. :(

I have a question, now most Christians do read their bibles but my question is are they Really Reading it?
It's one thing to study the scriptures even atheists and satanic's arm themselves up studying the word to attack Christians but the thing is they only see the first layer of the word and cannot see the deep true meaning of the scriptures they are reading.

As for us Christians we need to not just read and study the word but to do so in the right way, if you go into the bible to search a topic that you have certain beliefs about then that is likely all you will see which is why the entire pre rapture mid rapture and post rapture debate is pretty much useless because if you are a hard core pre rapture believer then you will easily find scripture to fit your belief the same with mid and post.

If we are to read and study the word we have to do so with a breakable and teachable heart even if that means our view of the scriptures or our belief of things are wrong

Your perception is correct. Our hearts have to be malleable if we truly desire to learn the Word of God and apply it in our lives.

Jesus did say that if we want to see the kingdom of God we must become like little children. Little children are fresh in the world they can be dyed any color taught and formed into anyone and anything because are a blank slate.

This why a parent must take into great consideration of raising their child because how they act how they speak what they show their kids as right and wrong can be the deciding factor of who this child becomes. In the same way if we go to the word as a blank slate being able to be taught and be molded by God through the word then that may very well be the deciding factor of who we are in him what we believe and whose heart resides inside us

Children are utterly dependent upon their parent/s, as we are to be upon God :)

I voted yes. Not judging any person in particular, but judging by the theme of the majority of the Bible Discussion topics.

We all kinda do this though. We will try harder.

lol okay... But I can kinda see your name :(
Anonymous usually means unnamed; but it can also mean not spoken of.

In any case it seems to have been said tongue in cheek. [not to be taken seriously].

I first thought it was a question for me. Then realized, it was for others.

I wouldn't know for sure actually. It's hard to tell. I wouldn't spend time to think about it either. :)

I can't help thinking most folks answers change 180 degrees if asked why they ask questions on here.

I did answer for me. And then I realized it was about everyone else, but...

That's why I thought answers would change.
