What kind of tree are you and what kind of fruit are you bring forth?
Matthew 12:33-37New International Version (NIV)
[SUP]33 [/SUP]“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. [SUP]34 [/SUP]You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. [SUP]35 [/SUP]A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. [SUP]36 [/SUP]But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. [SUP]37 [/SUP]For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matthew 15:8-20New International Version (NIV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’
[SUP][a][/SUP]

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. [SUP]11 [/SUP]What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
[SUP]13 [/SUP]He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Leave them; they are blind guides.[SUP][b][/SUP] If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.”
[SUP]16 [/SUP]“Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. [SUP]17 [/SUP]“Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? [SUP]18 [/SUP]But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. [SUP]20 [/SUP]These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”

This is probably a better question in Miscellaneous.

Since you asked such a lovely question! One of my favourite quotes:

John 15:5
Yes, I am the vine; and you are the branches. Those that remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Since I live way up north in Canada; we don't really relate to fruit trees because they're basically non-existent here. Orchards are more down south. I relate to the sturdy Oak Tree or Maple which provides acorns for the animals, shelter during a storm. Has deepened thick roots! Children can hang a tire-swing or build a tree-house; and have such lush memories!! Although I really love Spruce trees too, and Aspens.....I think I just really love trees!! Lol!! We go hiking with the kids all the time, and I feel so tenderly close to God! To grow with God!

Since most people tend to be somewhat biased either in their own favor or against themselves (Believers included); IMO, the OP question is best answered by others.

Those on the forum are, IMO, more qualified to evaluate the value of others' contributions than their own--- at least in determining what they find helpful, considerate, encouraging, and/or loving.

It is only the ones who taste of the fruit I, (as a tree), produces who can judge what that tastes like - good or bad. I can only determine how deep my roots go into what soil. And if I take into those roots the "living water".

There are two types of people in the world.
Good Trees
or
Bad Trees.

You will know who is who by the fruits they produce, or the lack of fruit they produce.
A person who produces Good fruit is a Good Tree
A person who produces Bad fruit is a Bad Tree
A person who produces no fruit is a Bad Tree.
A person who produces Many Good fruits, but occasionally a bad fruit, is a Bad Tree.

Jesus plainly taught what we do to others we do to Christ. What we do for or against others is Fruits. When you give to the bum on the corner of Walmart, you are not giving to the Millionaire like you would like to believe, you are giving to Jesus Christ. Whatever it is you do unto others, you have done that unto Christ. Think about that the next time you cut someone off in traffic, or curse someone for cutting you off in traffic, You cut off Christ, or you just cursed Christ.

Woe to this generation who does not have a clue what it means to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Mat_25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

This was the Parable of Jesus separating the sheep from the goats. And pay attention here, both the sheep and the goats called Jesus "LORD" They were not as this generation would have you to believe the unsaved. The Sheep are True Christians that call Jesus "Lord", the goats are they who profess to be Christians calling Jesus "Lord" and are not Christ-Like.

like the fruits of the Tree, you will know who is the Sheep and who is the goats by their deeds or lack of deeds unto others.

Hahha!! You always have a different interesting perspective, which is quite true! I'm probably still the tiny sapling just praying a deer doesn't eat me!! ;)

There is only One good Tree, and I am but a branch of that Tree, bearing the fruit that He brings forth.

That's very honest point. Can you be a 'good tree' without Jesus? Can you still bare 'good fruit'?

Fruits are the doctrines we have in our souls. Our true MOTIVES and only God sees that.

We KNOW other believers by their doctrines(fruits). Not by, if we see someone "loving" another(only God knows the heart).

An unbeliever can go to church, feed the poor, love others, quit drinking, quit smoking, quit cussing, proclaim their jesus, attain for perfection and have all of us convinced by their "fruits" they are saved.

Fruit is the doctrine we have in our souls, and applying that doctrine in our lives.

Did Abraham do the "deed" and show us His fruit of sacrificing his only son? No. It was Abrahams MOTIVE that was the fruit. He didn't DO the deed.

the belief of loss of salvation~~fruit, and it's a bad fruit. And so are all the "fruit" they try to produce to maintain salvation. The MOTIVE is wrong.
