Gossip is awful. It is just really bad because it hurts the body of Christ.

I know a lot of people who have been encouraged in the Lord because of Joyce Meyer. I personally don't listen to any televangelists because I prefer just listening to the Holy Spirit at this point in my life. As for her wealth, I'm sure Joyce knows she ain't gonna take it with her when she leaves this earth.

I just can't make a judgment against Joyce because we're not supposed to acknowledge one another in the flesh but only in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Being wealthy isn't a sin. We don't know Joyce's heart but we do know she preaches Jesus Christ crucified. So praise God for that!

I think we should keep Joyce (and all ministers for God) in our prayers and may the Lord be glorified in her life that souls come to Christ.

We are not to criticize their lifestyle but we can point out where they are in the wrong and how that money could have been better used to edify others in the body as we are told/commanded to do as we are told to esteem others before ourselves.

We also should be careful of defending people who live such lifestyles and test them as we are called to do in the Word of God, as the Lord our God gives many warnings about falling into the snare of greed, rich, and lavish lifestyles.

We should never as Christians (followers of Christ) ignore His many warnings in the scriptures !!!

God bless
I disagree with that. Yes, we are to teach and exhort others to be a blessing to those less fortunate but we and not called to examine every purchase someone makes and judge if they should have spent less so they could give more.

I just bought a $2000 shotgun. For some that would sound like too much money to spend on that. They would say I could have had something that would shoot just as well for $500 and given the rest to the poor. They would only look at that one purchase and never take into consideration what I gave last year to the church, or that I gave away another nice gun to someone who couldn't afford one and I gave a car to someone who needed one.

Sure we should exhort people to follow the gospel, but we need to leave the specific judging up to God. You can't judge someone's lifestyle because the standard by which you judge is only for yourself. All we see is an amount and that amount is either high or low depending on our own lifestyle and your own standard. God doesn't even consider the amount. All that is important to him is what that amount meant to you. Look at the widow who gave less than the rest by their estimation yet gave more than the rest by Jesus's estimation.

You might see someone driving a $100,000 car and say they could have bought a car for $20,000 and gave $80,000 away. You only judge that by what you say you would do, but do you drive a $3000 car and give away $10,000? I don't think you do. You only judge by what you consider excessive for you. Did that rich man give away 10% and did you also? If that is the case then you both gave the same, no matter how much was left over, or what kind of car that was bought.

I would be willing to bet that if you who criticize knew the percentages, you would find that these evil televangelists gave a greater percentage of both their money and time into the gospel than you do. All you see though is that they have more than you ,and so you judge they must be thieves and charlatans. Be careful of the judgment with which you judge. The same shall be measured back to you.

Have any of you ever heard the rumor that Joyce Meyer owns a $23,000 jewel encrusted toilet?
.................

I listened to your video, Lancelot and it explains how people exaggerated and took Joyce's statements out of context. That makes me so sad in my heart when I think how people do that to Christ's vessels of honor. It really is sad. Cause when we hurt each other, we hurt the Lord and the whole body of Christ. We should be building one another up.

I am sad to admit I've been guilty of that on this very site. I've been mean and argumentative and have had a bad attitude against my brothers & sisters here. I'm growing, praise God (OH THANK YOU, LORD FOR MERCY & GRACE & HOLY WISDOM!) but I'm very sorry that it was at the expense of hurting others. ****************sigh************** :(

Anyway, thank you Lancelot for posting this as a reminder that we should not gossip & cut each other with insults and criticisms. Thank you for reminding us to love one another in Jesus. ♥

Just like you do to the Catholics, tear them apart

So who is back here? Say who you are ! Or will you try to sneak around as a serpent on its belly lying and deceiving as the father of the RC church?
You just joined but yet you claim to know his past history on here? It was a pot shot at best. He defends the faith and as a result the catholic traditions and sacraments are proven "adding to and taking away". KennethC does not tear men or women apart of the RC faith but he does tear apart the false doctrine. Its a damnable doctrine. You have come here in disguise and will be banned again very soon.

KennethC Im sorry for coming in and speaking for you. I kinda jumped in here because its obvious here we have a man who has been banned.

I think it worthy to note that it is the sin of the love of money that cause many to criticize another's lifestyle. Most of these criticisms are born from envy and greed. The critic says they are all just in it for the money to justify their position of never giving.
Wow! I think you just hit a sensitive nail, right on the head.

You just spent a lot of words posting judgment at another by making false allegations on me that you do not know about.

The Word of God is straight forward about the snare of falling into rich and lavish lifestyles and how it will draw some away from the truth. You can continue to deny and overlook those warnings and not test these people on what they teach and continue to defend them instead as that is on you and not me.

I will continue to test them as the word of God says we are allowed and suppose to do !!!

Also there is a difference in wrongful judgment which would consist of condemning a person, but there is righteous judgment that we are allowed to do which is pointing out the sinful behavior of others and false teaching and show how to correct it and the truth stated in God's word.

Also you are not trying to use against me the same exact debate I brought to you before about the rich man and the woman in poverty.

The rich man gave out of obligation and the poor widow gave everything she had because of her love and trust in the Lord our God.

To say we can not point out others sinful behavior to others and then show the truth in God's word is wrong as Jesus and Apostle Paul show examples that we can. Paul even tells us to shun people from the church if they refuse to give up sinful lifestyles, and not to associate with them.

So you can continue to say we can't but I will go with God's word that shows we can !!!

That is okay and we should stand together in Christ instead of apart, as the Word of God says when we come together we should be together in one mind and one sound doctrine.

Since the early church especially since the 4th century itching ear doctrines and people not enduring the sound teachings of the bible has gotten bad. I believe we are in the great falling away right now as I see a number of teachings that twist the word of God or ignore parts of it to make a doctrine of man to appease people.

Lord Jesus even said He did not come to bring peace but a sword, because His teachings and commands would not bold well with those who want to continue to be of the world.

God bless

In the video it says it was actually a dresser and not a toilet, and there was a mistake on the price turned in as it was said to have been around $2,300 and not $23,000.

Still that is a lot even for a dresser or a toilet either one as I can go right now and buy a new dresser and new toilet both that work just fine for less then then $200 dollars together today.

Why living beyond what we need is defended now days makes no since to me when the bible does warn against such things as it tells us not to build up treasures on earth (material possessions), but to build up treasures in heaven instead by doing for others in the love of God.
There you go again, Ken. Half my family lives in and around KC, and the dirt cheap prices you keep quoting just don't exist... not even in Independence. Unless you buy junk. Even at Menard's, you can't buy a decent toilet and a dresser for less than $200, combined. I paid about $260 for a mid-range toilet at Home Depot. The last modest wooden, red oak dresser I bought was $600... $150 more for the matching mirror. And that was around 8 years ago.

Was Paul was sinning when he exposed BY NAME the men who were spreading heresy? Thats a ridiculous statement sister. Come on now! Man oh man its just so unprofitable for the cause of Christ for people to undermine exposing false doctrine and the wolves that spread it. We are to expose them and mark them arent we? How else to expose but to speak out?

"And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ." 2 Corinthians II: 12-13

This thread
should be about Joyce Meyers and the WOF/Charasmatic false wolves who are saying Jesus was reborn again. Yes, I can back it up. Her book
"THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION YOU WILL EVER MAKE.
A COMPLETE AND THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BORN AGAIN
."
is full of lies and twisting and perverting scripture. There are countless videos of her spewing out damnable doctrine.

Exposing error is NOT gossip.

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." Isaiah 5:20

Galatians 5:22 & 23 reads:
22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23. gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

It doesn't make any sense for any of us to fight against each other and accuse & slander each other because of different view points. There is no "us vs them" in the spirit of Christ. We're one body in Christ.

The sword Jesus brings is the Word of God, not a weapon to cut each other down. The only division is our own flesh against the spirit of truth. The only recourse is loving one another in Christ and treating each other the way we ourselves want to be treated. It's no use to post scripture and preach the Word of God if we can't be living examples. If the fruit of the spirit isn't showing in your words, it brings no glory to God.

This is a discussion, not a gang war. Let's grow in grace and put off the flesh, for Christ Jesus' sake.

So Jesus was born again? NO! Joyce Meyers is a LYING WOLVE!!! All YOU unlearned on the milk that are standing next to a wolve and biting your true brothers and sisters need to STOP IT! Stop fighting the ones who have discerned the truth. Do your homework and ask the Lord Jesus for discernment.
If my stomach was full I would throw up. Its all I can do is listen to her lies again while getting this video for you.

I have been guilty of it too. For that I was very disappointed in myself. BUT, I will not stop upholding the truth. I will go about it in a non personal ,factual only pursuit! Im trying very hard to be kind.

There is a vast difference in exposing error and spreading gossip. We all need to stick to facts and not gloss over truth saying it is gossiping. Sister you need to do some research. I think you will see that she is spreading damnable false doctrine

Gen 13:2, Gen 24:35, Isaiah 51:2 (God blessed Abraham)
Gen 26:12-14 (God blessed Isaac)
Gen 36:6-7 (God blessed Jacob)
Chronicles 29:28 (God blessed David)
2 Chronicles 9:22 (God blessed Solomon)
2 Chronicles 17:5 (God blessed Jehoshaphat)
2 Chronicles 32:26-28 (God blessed Hezekiah)

So are any of these people wrong for the blessings God gave them? Why would it be any different today?
That's true, Abraham was incredibly rich, obviously he believed in a prosperity Gospel! Cast him aside!!!

IMO, we shouldn't gloss over the truth, aka sugar coat it. I'm blunt, and blatantly honest and I know some take offense at that, but ya know what? If ya can't handle hearing cold, hard truth, don't ask for it.. :/ I don't do the "tsk tsk you poor thing" schtick.. I do the "here's how it REALLY is" thing.

The first minute should suffice. Wake up Willie. You adhere to her and others that are wolves.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
