This is a common problem with people now days as I have even seen it done on here, and that is only taking part of what a person says and making it say something completely different then what was actually said to make the person look bad.
Instead of using facts or asking questions they use partial quotes to demean another person !!!
This type of behavior when I talk to others and see that they use such tactic's leads me to think they do the same with scriptures. Because if they can not be honest with what we have said then their honesty can be questioned in all areas of conversation.
As for the issue of living rich lavish lifestyles as a pastor/preacher I do have an issue with as the Word of God gives plenty of warnings for such. Those warnings say such as the love of money has drawn some away from the truth to teach lies, and that for us to be on the lookout for any who teach godliness is a means to gain and to withdraw from such people as that is a teaching of lies.

So you are going to turn this into a anti televangelist thread now? How many people in the world do these televangelists reach daily? Getting the Word out through television costs money to do. Do I agree with all of them? No not at all. Also my comment was directed at Yet so I guess I should have replied to his statement. He seems to think Christians can't be blessed by God and be wealthy.

We are not to criticize their lifestyle but we can point out where they are in the wrong and how that money could have been better used to edify others in the body as we are told/commanded to do as we are told to esteem others before ourselves.
We also should be careful of defending people who live such lifestyles and test them as we are called to do in the Word of God, as the Lord our God gives many warnings about falling into the snare of greed, rich, and lavish lifestyles.
We should never as Christians (followers of Christ) ignore His many warnings in the scriptures !!!

In the video it says it was actually a dresser and not a toilet, and there was a mistake on the price turned in as it was said to have been around $2,300 and not $23,000.
Still that is a lot even for a dresser or a toilet either one as I can go right now and buy a new dresser and new toilet both that work just fine for less then then $200 dollars together today.
Why living beyond what we need is defended now days makes no since to me when the bible does warn against such things as it tells us not to build up treasures on earth (material possessions), but to build up treasures in heaven instead by doing for others in the love of God.

I think you have me confused with somebody else as I was in the Catholic church for 5 years and took their RCIA classes, and what I do is point out the things taught that do not align with scripture.
I do not get hateful or belittle them but state polite and respectful in showing what the Word of God actually says.
So please instead of just trying to make an allegation like this provide proof in this as I have not gotten disrespectful or demeaning to anybody on here ???

I don't understand why this is such a big deal. She writes books and is a televangelist, so what. The way a person spends their money is their business. Do I want to be judged because I buy something? No, so what gives us the right to dictate and judge the way someone else spends their money. I mean it's money down the toilet, but it is their business not ours.
