I agree with you here tourist. Regarding the 144,000, there is nothing in scripture that states that the glorified church reigns over them. Those whom we will rule over will be those great tribulation saints of all nations who make it through God's wrath alive and who will be repopulating the earth during the millennial period.
As further support that the 144,000 are adult males, we have scripture stating that "these are those who have not defiled themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure." - Rev.14:4
The reference to "not defiling themselves with women" would infer that these are all adult males, otherwise you wouldn't need to say that about children.
Regarding day and night on the new earth and new Jerusalem, there will be none, for the scripture states the following:
"And the city has no need for sun or moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its lamp. By its light the nations will walk, and into it the kings of the earth will bring their glory. Its gates will never be shut at the end of the day, because there will be no night there."
The reference to the new Jerusalem having no need for the sun or moon to shine on it, infers that there will be no sun or moon period. Furthermore, the scripture says that the glory of God will illuminate the city and that the nations will walk by its light on the earth. There will also be no more sea.
You are correct though in that there will indeed be day and night in the new earth but not in New Jerusalem. Also, correct on the Tree of Life producing a crop of 12 different fruits each month, and not 12 different crops of fruit, one crop for each month.
Still waiting to hear from you concerning the whole Chapter Zechariah 14, and where that chapter fits into your ideal of end time events. Thanks Brother.
