Hope this isn't too silly of a question.

I'm a nocturnal person. I've always loved the night. That's why I hope there will be nighttime in the hereafter.

I don't believe so. I see no darkness where light (Jesus) resides. There will be light brighter than the sun and it will radiate from Him, so no darkness at all.

Ive heard from people who have seen heaven that when youre there, you dont miss anything about this world, including your lived ones. I believe thats true, too. Youd have everything you could ever want, peace of mind and the love of God.

I think when youre there, you wont even care about these earthly things anymore :p

Rev 21:24-25
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
KJV

Isa 60:19-20
19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
KJV

Zech 14:7-8
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
KJV

I interpret that to mean that God's Light in the new Jerusalem will overshadow the sun, moon, and the stars.

I agree, night time will not even cross your mind because you will be in awe of what you see and experience. I doubt you will even remember anything of this earth. I believe we will have no memory of this life if as Revelation states "there will be no more suffering". How could we have such peace in our hearts the Bible speaks of if we are fretting over our lost friends and relatives here on earth as we do now?

That Scripture is very interesting if you look at it more closely. If the sun will "no more go down", what does that reveal about our sunrises and sunsets of this world time? It either means the earth will not revolve around the sun anymore, which would go against Zech.14:8 that mentions summer and winter; or that simply we will not be able to see the sun directly from the earth anymore. And if we will not be able to directly see the sun then, what will prevent us from seeing it from earth?

Something to think about.

Hello Stranger36147,

In answer to the question regarding night time existing in the new heaven and new earth:

"I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;" (Rev.21:22-25)

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.

No ocean either

For the Saints who live in the New City Jerusalem that comes down out of Heaven to the Earth, there will be no day or night there. ( no need for such) It will always be lit with the light of the Father and Jesus Christ. But outside of the New City Jerusalem, there will be day and night on the Earth, which abideth forever. You can leave the Holy City and partake of the beautiful night, sunsets, stars, etc.. ...

Scripture states that there will no sun or moon and no more night, that includes the earth. Whatever is being said for the new Jerusalem is true for the new earth. Please present scripture that shows that the new earth will have the sun and moon to shine on it.

Hello Stranger36147,

So if 'no more sea' like Revelation shows, then where... is all that water on the earth going to go?

Scripture states that there will no sun or moon and no more night, that includes the earth.
You say, that include the earth. Scriptures does not teach what you are saying here. What? The Sun explodes? The Moon flies off into out space? What? The Earth stops rotating completely?

Scriptures talks of no night, ONLY in reference to the New City Jerusalem. All of Chapter 21 is referring to the New City Jerusalem, and also the first part of chapter 22 too.

Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. (please notice it does not say the Sun no longer exists, or the moon no longer exists, it is talking about inside the Holy City, which has no need of the Sun or the moon)
Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
(Where is "There"? The New City Jerusalem, NOT the Earth.)

No night there, where is there? you say Earth, but the Scriptures teach it is referring to the Holy City. The whole Chapter of Revelation 21 is talking about the Holy City, NOT the Earth. Again Scriptures plainly teach there is no night in the Holy City, you teach there is no night on the Earth as well. That is not Scriptural, if you think it is, then reveal the Scriptures that teaches no night there includes the Earth as well.

Whatever is being said for the new Jerusalem is true for the new earth. Please present scripture that shows that the new earth will have the sun and moon to shine on it.
lol, you have not shown anywhere in Scriptures which teach that somehow the New Earth does not have a sun and moon, but you want me to show you Scriptures that the New Earth will have a Sun and Moon. That is like asking me to show you Scriptures that says the New Earth will have flowers. The Earth right now has a Sun and a Moon, has Days and Nights. You say that will stop, it is on you then to show relevant Scriptures that teach the EARTH will no longer have Days and Nights like you are teaching. Scriptures teach that the New City Jerusalem will not have Days and Nights, but you teach the Earth does not either, then it is on you to show the Scriptures which teach what you are saying.

It is written the Earth abideth forever, i guess the Sun must blow up according to you. Where did the Sun go? Where did the Moon go? You teach the Earth no longer has Days and Nights, So then please explain what happened to the Sun, what happened to the moon, what happened to the rotation of the Earth which causes Days and Nights.

Brother you do error in confusing the "No night there" with the Earth, that is NOT what it is referring too. The "No night there" is specifically talking about inside the New City Jerusalem which comes down out of Heaven with the Father in it, and the Son in it, so they can dwell among the humans on the Earth. You say the Earth does not have days and nights, Show Scriptures that back up what you are saying, if you are able. i know you can't, because there are no verses which teach such a thing, you do error brother in that thinking.

You are correct, the Saints that live with the Father and Jesus in the Holy City of God, will be in their Glorified Bodies, immortal, and will have no need of sleep, ever.

Yes, emphatically! We humans have a tendency to try and make everything in the Bible out to be a literal statement.... when many things were never meant to be taken that way. (The crazy idea of actually having to walk on hot, hard streets of gold metal is one example. Give me lush, green grass, and pure white beach sand between my bare toes, any day) I happen to love rain and storms. I am confident I will still enjoy those to my heart's content after I am raised to new life.

Revelation 22:5: And night shall be no more; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they shall reign for ever and ever.

not just in the New Jerusalem, but in the whole earth, they will have their new bodies and will not require sleep, hence no night.
Do you have a Scripture stating there will be night time on the New Earth?

The new earth is the universe as the angels move to a new heaven, the one called Mount Sion in Hebrews:12. Eacp planet people inhabit would end up looking like Eden did at the end of the 6th day.

Isa:60:22:
A little one shall become a thousand,
and a small one a strong nation:
I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

This earth will me melted when Satan is sent to the fiery lake so it is quite possible the earth will resemble this verse below which means it is all part of the courtyard and the 'nations' are other planets, possibly different to the extent that each person who steps out of New Jerusalem after it lands and people start to exit it.

Re:15:2:
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire:
and them that had gotten the victory over the beast,
and over his image,
and over his mark,
and over the number of his name,
stand on the sea of glass,
having the harps of God.

Since people will be immoral each person might get their own galaxy depending on how the numbers work out.
