No I don't.

Even KJVers don't like Ruckman lol.

He's been married like 3 times and most of the Baptists who are KJV don't approve of that. I don't either. :)
No one else knows those languages either.... I put my faith in One to interpret rather than Strong. The word complexity of the bible is unreal only God knows what God intended and no man or group of men are capable of translating God's word.

I read from the Greek as well as the King James. The Greek is alot deeper for instance when the English talks about Peter significant other it uses a different word than for her than when scriptures uses the word wife. As well as many other words that go deeper than the English translations do. Also I have learned that too many modern translations show more of the translator's opinion than what Scripture is really telling us

Thanks I needed to see this because I was stumped by a Greek word that has been translated different than it is in the Greek dictionary

That's the why the bible says if anyone speaks in an unknown tongue let it be by two or at the most three (Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek) and let one (God) interpret.

I use the King James only. It is the only version without a copywrite to the text. All other versions have copywrites. The Bible KJV says, The word of God is not bound in 2Timothy 2.9. So the King James Bible must be God's unbound word, and the others are not. Plus it's more than about archaic words in the KJV, other versions change many things, and are perverted. For example In the RSV it says in Isaiah 7.14 The Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold a YOUNG WOMAN shall conceive, and bare a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. This is a wrong translation, like many others. A YOUNG WOMAN conceiving, and baring a son is not miraculous, and isn't A SIGN. But the King James Bible correctly says, A VIRGIN shall conceive, and bare a son. A virgin baring a son, that's miraculous, and is A SIGN. God has only ONE BIBLE: the King James Bible. May God bless you. Amen

The RV doesn't have a copyright and is a more exact translation than the KJV.

Actually 'an unmarried young woman of marriageable age' is what almah means. At that time there was no word for 'virgin'. Thus almah was the closest representation.

I grew up on the KJV, and still like to use it. I really like the ESV and tend to use it as my primary when preparing for Bible study group lessons.

For personal Bible study, I really like e-Sword and my-Sword. They are free. They contain many versions and a wealth of supporting resources and maps.

My suggestion is to find a version that you are comfortable with, find a study partner, and dig in on a regular basis. There is no substitute for regular (daily) study.

Good gravy! The KJV only doesn't have copyright restrictions anymore because it's over 400 years old! Such a 'nothing' argument doesn't help your case.

Tell me which bible version you read and why???
Tell me which bible version you read and why???
KJV, Because it is the only version that satan has tried to destroy and FAILED, because it is the only version that God has protected for over 400 years and will still be here when Jesus arrives, because it is the version that thousands of our Christian Brothers and Sisters were SAVED by, because it is the version that many of our Christian Brothers and Sisters have died for.

satan tried to get rid of the Word of God by burning all Bibles, he FAILED. So tell me, if satan realizes that God is not going to allow him to get rid of the King James Version, what it the next best tactic for satan to use to get people to stop reading the KJV? i will tell you the best tactic is to create other water downed versions of the Bible, 90% Truth - 10% false, just enough to cause confusion among the children of God, which satan is the author of.

The King James Version has been bringing people to the Lord Jesus for over 400 years now, leave it to the last days generation to say and teach they need something other than what has worked for the last 400 years. Leave it to the last days generation to say the KJV is in need of correcting, in need of an update, in need of change to make it easier to read, and other such excuses they use to justify coming up with other versions of the Bible.

Please do not get me wrong, any version that can bring a person to Jesus Christ is not a bad version. i could come up with a version of the Bible that could bring people to the Lord Jesus, it does not mean my version is the Word of God. Just as other versions of the Bible are NOT the Word of God, other versions are interpretations of men concerning the Word of God, But only the KJV for all English speaking people is the Word of God, ordained by God, protected by God, and will remain till God returns. The KJV should take precedence over all versions of the Word of God created by the last days generation. What has worked for over 400 years, continues to work to this day.

How many parents have said "I am not going to raise my kids like my parents raised me"? Look at their kids now, spoiled, rebellious, rotten. They should have stuck with what works. Likewise the KJV Works, but leave it to this generation to take thought, i am not going to read the same version that SAVED my parents, i will come up with a new version, easier to understand version, updated version. Look at the Christians now, confused, lukewarm, no clue as to what is TRUTH, cursed children.

I use KJV sometimes but usually I use the NKJV and NIV for study. I also use for basic reading the CEV, NCV, NLT for basic reading. I also other translations on my esword to compare translations. From my experience find a translation that you can read and study. If you do not understand what you are reading it will limit how you can understand the bible.
