Hahahah makes me glad Im a lady...or last time I checked :(
Lol. I used to think "why do ladies get it so easy". Now I'm older, I know that losing some excess skin doesn't really compare to childbirth. :)

Also, in some cases, the lady still ended up having to do it, with nothing more than a rock (look at Zipporah)!

Yikes! Thank the lawd for pain meds! I dont think my pain tolerance is that high. I know they have some pretty awful things they do to girls in some of these countries.

Its fine, and there are things in the bible that are funny in some ways. I think some people can make this topic more serious than it is.

I would sooner jokes in good taste than accusations that one of God's covenants is cruel.

Probably flint or obsidian, both of which can be as sharp as a knife.

I never brought it up in the topic, but this is something else they do. Comparing genital mutilation of girls in some third world countries to the covenant sign of circumcision. The mutilation of girls is barbaric, and can't be compared to removing such excess skin in boys.

Yes I would totally agree with that.

Haha! It really is an odd question to be asking. And with a poll along with it! Just sort of odd.
I'm not sure if this refers to my post and poll. I apologise if it does. I wanted to get some Christian opinions after reading about many claiming to be Christians whose statements seemed foreign.

It's a good thing the foreskin doesn't keep growing back, eh Kohen?
I appreciate your comments, but please be sensitive to any ladies reading. This isn't a men only chat, and as I find this comment a little distasteful, I'm sure some women may.

My apologies then. The Scriptures mention foreskin often.
But I will cease from this thread then so as not to offend further.

I am sorry. I was hesitant to raise the topic in the first place for this reason, but did want to understand opinions on the topic from Christians. I was hoping all responses could be mature like your own, and don't mind jokes in good taste, but some people seem very insensitive and as happy to joke about the basest functions and parts as they would in a sewer (not that it is even appropriate in a sewer).

Please accept my apology for his comment again (I don't think I can delete it), but he has said he won't post in this thread anymore.

The difference is that when scripture mentions unpleasant things, it does it to convey a message, not to gross people out. I appreciate you not commenting further, as this is a mixed message board and women (not to mention men) should not be subject to reading base jokes.
