I have,on many occassion posted comments concerning the 10 virgin parable.

5 were foolish

5 were wise

I believe I am one of those foolish virgins. (heaven shut against me)

The reason I say that,is because recently I needed a big miracle concerning my dog. I noticed when I prayed, heaven was shut. No communication. Well, after a couple weeks,I heard his voice "You are very close to your miracle"
About 1 week later at 1;44 am I awoke, and across my vision ,arc like,I saw a head of a demon and his face.

I let her out,(my dog) and she ran for 2 hours. (now before she could barely get up and hobble around.)

That night he spoke several things to me (heaven open)

Recently I had another incident that I had to have a literal miracle.
Guess what? heaven,again,shut.

Now I know the roadblock. Me!

Just came from the neighbor's house where we "fell out" several times. (me and his wife)
Her dog killed one of my chickens.
My behavior was ridiculous, and I held her responsible, monetarily for my loss.

I made it right while ago with a nice present for their family. The husband speaks only spanish, but God helped me to be apologetic and graceful.

My reason for this thread is mainly to confess my apparent hypocrisy, and to simply and hopefully document in my heart that I had better walk closer to the Lord, and not sling my oil out by being foolish.

No,not apparent,I am a hypocrite. That means ACTOR.....FAKE.....It is in fact deception.

But I won't camp there. I see His hand already. That incident cut deep into me,with me pinning the "bad guy" on her, when my heart was seething with bitterness toward them.

I cried like a baby when I got home. I guess because he blessed me with a pure heart.(I could feel it)

The "he" was her husband.

Just clarifying.

We all screw up I am no more innocent of being a hypocrite than you and believe me the shame of my sins runs deep for a time but I also know that satan loves for us to focus on that and not God's grace. So I go to God and I ask for forgiveness and then I move forward free of shame knowing that not only am I forgiven but that he will make me stronger in the face sin.

Also I would say you are one of the wise virgins, a foolish virgin would have known what they did wrong and not done anything about it but a wise virgin doesn't try to run or try cover their mistakes but humbly make amends just as you did

Thanks blain. I do believe I will be one shortly. I feel so different.

I went to a pastor friend about a month ago. He was preparing for a wedding at his church and was peeling potatoes. He gave me some to peel. So we sat and he spoke as if I were his disciple or even his son. I was choked up because I was there to give him a sum of money that I felt I owed him on a deal that went sour. He was so gracious. He accepted my restitution. I will never forget it.

To be a wise virgin with lots of oil is only to be filled with the Holy Spirit - not filled with your own good works, or sinless perfection.

I don't call myself a hypocrite just because I blow it often. My heart is still filled with Jesus. And He knows it. I just know that I could do much better than I did. Forgiven, but not a hypocrite. Or I would be calling myself names everyday of my life.

No matter how old we get or how long we have been in faith we always have more to learn and are always open for a new transformation in Christ:)

It is the search light of the Holy Spirit that reveals what adjustments one needs to make, not mental checklists.

The foolish thought they were ok. They did have oil..

Of the 7 that the Holy Spirit revealed one did me wrong. I was still required to go to him. 3 of them I was not required to go to.

Hard to think of myself as a good person in all this.

Cleansing is both ugly and beautiful.

Even Jesus rejected being called good. Only God is good :)

If you read Matt. 25, the foolish really did not have any oil. "The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them."

They had oil but ran out.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Holiness.
Sin separates.
Sin for a mature saint is different than a babe.
There are sins of omission/sins of commission
Jesus said "to look on a woman and lust,is as the sin of adultery."

Living holy is a product of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
There is sin hidden in all of us.

We don't receive the Holy Spirit by getting sin less.
We receive him as a "helper and partner.
(sin of the thought life)

If you read Matt. 25, the foolish really did not have any oil. "The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them."
Around vs 8;
"give us your oil our lamps are gone out"

They had oil,but ran out.

The wise had lamps as well as containers of oil.

The foolish had lamps with oil. The wise quietly refilled their lamps before laying down
The foolish Didn't,but the story reveals that the wise were believers with a 2nd dimension. Vessels with oil,AS WELL AS LAMPS WITH OIL

IOW,at his coming, there will be believers that will not know till it is too late what they are missing.

EXTRA OIL IS THE MESSAGE.

Not "some were without"

Both had oil.....Why did they run out?

The parable looses meaning when the facts are overlooked
