No, a sheepdog is just a wolf pretending to be a sheep. The dog is also a predator. Dogs are filthy animals and they oppress the flock with flattering barking or sharp teeth of biting. The manly ram defends his ewe and his lambs and charges forth in his zeal jeopardizing his own life to push the filthy dogs away with his horns and suffers many bites until the shepherd returns to break the skulls of the dogs with a rod of iron.

In the new earth...

"The wolf and the lamb shall graze together;
the lion shall eat straw like the ox,
and dust shall be the serpent’s food.
They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.

The older I get, the more I think the Bible isn't just talking about animals in those passages.

The lion and the lamb? Or the child playing near the viper's pit?

More like, "The Troll... and Those Trolled... Shall Sit Down Together (in the Shared Harmony of Cyberspace.)"

Only in heaven, folks. Only in heaven.

Huh. It was my understanding from before you push the literal concept of "born again"? Maybe I misunderstood your position.

How do animals get "born again"? Do you baptise them and have them speak to you of their convictions, belief in Jesus' sacrifice? Do you minister to them? Do they confess their sins?

You ever shouted at a dog and showed him his stinkie on the carpet? Their reaction is repentance right there :p

Where does the Bible say animals must be born again? Would you not include them in the rest of creation that fell as a direct result of man's transgression against God? When God created them, He said they were good. They have His breath in them to animate them, just as we do.

For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

That isn't "showing the dog" what you think you're showing it. It's teaching the dog something bigger than itself, in both size and "pecking order", can yell at it and make it feel scared. Dogs don't reason as humans do.

Ok. I'm happy you for you that you and God have this understanding between each other. I'm going to back away slowly. Please don't pick up heavy objects until I'm well away.

Am I to take it you do not believe what Jesus said?
I believe in what Jesus did after he said that to Nicodemus. This is for another thread, though. Tell us more about puppy and kitty souls.
