As an heir of God, you have a rich inheritance. All the blessings of your heavenly Father are yours!
“Well, brother, if it’s true that I am an heir of God because I’m His son, then why am I still not seeing the blessings?”

I asked the Lord the same question once. I said, “Lord, why is it that there are believers who don’t seem to be blessed despite the fact that they are Your sons and heirs?” The Lord said this to me, “It’s a matter of spirit.” Then, He pointed me to Romans 8:15, NIV—“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’” He was telling me that walking in His blessings has to do with having a spirit of sonship.

How does the spirit of sonship operate? By the cry, “Abba, Father!” The Holy Spirit left the word Abba, meaning “Daddy” or “Papa,” untranslated in Romans 8:15 so that we will know that God wants us to have an intimate relationship with Him. Seeing God as Daddy and calling Him “Daddy” or “Papa” removes any distance and breaks down every barrier between you and God. It brings you into an intimate relationship with God and that’s how the spirit of sonship operates.

So beloved, have a spirit of sonship. Don’t see God as an impersonal, distant being who doesn’t really care how you feel. He isn’t just Almighty God, He is also your Daddy! Have this sense of intimacy with Him all the time and start to walk in a greater measure of your Daddy’s blessings!

Many people who have deeply profound faith in Jesus Christ endure extraordinary trials and tribulations. God in His infinite wisdom knows that through their sufferings, the Gospel is advanced. For when things are at their worst for some people, others are often at their best, i.e, Christ-like.

No. Just.. no. While your intent is pure, it's not correct. We are God's children. This is not the same as "I am the son of God", because I am not. This is another example of issues with language.

I see what you mean. We are not "THE" SON OF GOD as in Jesus..but we are in Jesus and He is in us...we are one in Spirit..we are one .... so in that context we are the son or daughter of God...yet we are distinct people. We are not Christ but we are in Him joined as a mystery as Paul said when he was talking about a man and woman becoming one flesh

.Ephesians 5:31-32 (KJV)
[SUP]31 [/SUP] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
[SUP]32 [/SUP] This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

I have to say this was a wonderful post:) But I wonder what it means to most people to walk in his blessings? Or rather what kind of blessings do they seek? People are in need of food and money and health I have seen this everywhere and no doubt God will bless people in this way but as for me personally while I am always grateful for such things the blessings I seek are spiritual blessings. One thing that I desire above all others things above anything he could give me in heaven is an intimate and deep love with him one of only the deepest depths one that is that rich and that beautiful I seek a love with him that has never been achieved never known that could exist to literally see how deep and how rich a love between him and us can be.

He knows the blessings I seek and best thing about is is that if a love like that is ever achieved between him and I it's a blessing that is impossible to keep to ones self

I still call myself a daughter of God, because I know he created me. Just as when I look at another, I know that others were created by him too...but not all do I declare are following our Father!..:D

In order for the term "Father" to have any meaning...we have to be either a daughter or a son!..you are deeply loved by your Father! He is a good, good Father!

I usually give a man a chance to do, but if man refuses or puts much delay..yep..up goes the sleeves. I don't do it to shame another, I do it because it needs to be done!

This was when I first came on to CC and didn't know about putting in the OP's source until a member told me about it and since then I have put it in...

It is a great message about how to view our loving Father that that we are His sons in Christ - we call Him Abba!. This truth is needed in all of us. Thanks for posting it again. It is encouraging us to really know our loving Lord.

Bless you!

G-d is a lot of things to me: Savior, Master, Protector, Best Friend,… but the thing I like best is Daddy.

I don’t know how many times over the years I have said to Him your little girl needs you, full of pain and hurt or even fear. And in my mind’s eye I can see me crawling up onto His lap and He holding me. G-d is so many things, multifaceted. His power, He just has to speak it. His glory, there is nothing more beautiful then Him. But then He’s Daddy…. He rescues me and then kisses my boo-boo. He wipes my tears and says don’t worry I’ll fix it. And He does because He is my Daddy. In spite of all His power and strength, He is my gentle Daddy. He watches over my safety, puts angles around me and all that concerns me so no harm will come to us. Best of all I love my Daddy and He loves me. I want so much to make Him proud of me but when I miss it and even get it bad, my Daddy loves me anyway and forgives me. I am his little girl and He is my Daddy.

Just last week or maybe longer I was meditating on this theme during the night. It occurs to me that not only are we the Son of God in our faith but even more incredible, the Son of God was each of us at one time in order to suffer our guilt on the Cross. This is humbling and it demostrates just how humble our God is to do this for each one of us. To deny Christ would be denying oneself, so learn from Him. You are invited by Him in person.
