There are many voices these days teaching and sharing great truth and things the believers today need to empower and strengthen their day to day walk in this dark and dying world, our beloved Savior came not to condemn but to save ALL that would respond to His Father drawing them (John 6:44), however a time is coming when he shall surely return and this time it will not be to save, but to bring judgment and condemnation to the unrepentant, fearful, and unbelieving.
There are plenty of other voices to be heard as well, (I speak of those who claim to have a knowledge of the holy One, but deny the power thereof) We are told to turn away from such (2 Tim. 3:5) however there are many who become deceived, not because they choose deception, but because they are led astray be there own unwillingness to study to show themselves workman approved (2 tim.2:15) in this text in the KJV it states to accurately divide the word of truth. this word "divide" in the Greek actually means to dissect, or carefully inspect, We as believers have a responsibility, not only to ourselves but to the body of Messiah as a whole, part of the pureness of the bride is pureness in doctrine as well as being unspotted from the world.
The Messiah of the Narrow path said "I am they way, the truth and the life..." (John14:6) the messiah of the broad path says "any way you choose as long as your heart is good" the scripture says lean not on your own understanding... (prov.3:5-6) the world says as long as you do good and it feels right you will be ok, the truth is our Savior said these sobering words "straight is the way and narrow is the gate and few there be who find it" what do you think He meant by that? you see truth is not a matter of who's right and who's wrong, it just IS, and its our place (and duty as believers) to seek it out, not wait for others to tell us what it is, but to prayerfully search the scriptures and verify everything you learn, (any good teacher or undershepherd will encourage this) there are many well meaning people who teach error. but each of us will give account one day for every idle word spoken (Matt.12:36) is anything taught in error really harmful? what does the scriptures say concerning this?
We have a standard for doctrine, (2 Tim. 3:16) why not study and know what the bible really says? after all we are blessed to have such an awesome resource, think about this: the very ONE who spoke all things into existence spoke to us in His word and we have it right here! please I urge you, pray seek the truth as if looking for the most valuable treasure (because you are) the eternal one gave the greatest Gift of all to us , the least we could do is learn His ways and walk in them with Him. shalom
