Hi guys! There's afriend I've known since we were youths(we're now both married), we got saved in our teens both passionatedly love God! Aguest speaker visited our local church and was talking about deliverence! Towards the end of the service he called out my friend and told him he was posessed by the spirit of anger from his family lineage! He prayed for him and he fell on the ground for awhile, when he got up the preacher declared him free! Since that day I've had this disturbing question! Can one be the temple of the Holy Spirit and still be ahabitation of demons? Please guys help me understand these!!

Spirit of anger sounds stupid. Anger is an emotion. People generally are angry for a reason and it would make more sense to pray that GOD would give the angry person insight into what is making him angry so that it can be healed. This casting out of angry spirits thing is the typical Western approach of treating the symptom, rather than the disease, and turning the worship of GOD into religious carnival shows.

I can only say one thing, you know you're friend and love God, so He will not let you be mistaken, beware of false preachers. Not everything is about demons, we all have choices.

Our bodies are a temple God made for His Holy Spirit to dwell in, but there is also the spirit of this world, who is of the Prince of this world the Devil. That spirit and sin nature entered into the world by way of sin, as shown in the first man Adam. Thus we see the need to be born again of the Holy Spirit of God and given a new nature in Christ.

Once we are born again of the Holy Spirit He becomes the strong man of our house and He gives us the ability to resist and overcome the world and the works of the Devil. When the Light of the Lord enters into your house the darkness will soon flee, as darkness has no place in the Light.

Abide in the Light of the Truth and the wicked one will not be able to touch you.

1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Tell him the gospel..in it is the power of God fro salvation...Jesus is always the answer...people try all kinds of hocus pocus religious stuff..mixing the Old Covenant with the New Covenant and they come up with all kinds of D.I.Y. deliverance methods..Jesus is perfect theology.

Hi dalconn, this was aquest speaker not my pastor!
