[see how this goes?]

Proverbs 1:1) The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 .) To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3 .) To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4 .) To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
5 .) A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
6 .) To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 .) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

ECC. 9:11.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift,
nor the battle to the strong,
neither yet bread to the wise,
nor yet riches to men of understanding,
nor yet favour to men of skill;
but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Hmm maybe this should be pinned to the bible discussion forum. :)

Proverbs 18:19 AMP
[19] A brother offended is harder to be won over than a strong city, and their
contentions separate them like the bars of a castle.

[h=1]Ecclesiastes
3[/h]
1 .) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 .) A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 .) A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 .) A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 .) A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 .) A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 .) A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 .) A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

20 Wisdom calls aloud outside;
She raises her voice in the open squares.
21 She cries out in the chief concourses,
At the openings of the gates in the city
She speaks her words:

Well, I was being a bit selfish I suppose. See, it's getting cold here and I kinda wanted to hold onto my "garment, and strange women give me pause."

Proverbs 2:1) My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 .) So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 .) Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 .) If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 .) Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 .) For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 3:1) My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

3 .) Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 .) So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 .) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 .) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 .) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a demon. The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold the man, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners! And wisdom is justified from her children.

2 Corinthians 2:7) So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
8 .) Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
9 .) For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
10 .) To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

[h=1]1 Corinthians
15[/h]
1 .) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 .) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 .) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 .) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 .) And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 .) After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 .) After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 .) And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9 .) For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 .) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11 .) Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
12 .) Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 .) But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 .) And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:13-18

So now abide faith, hope, and love, these three. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13, MEV.
