Yeah, women can tell about some bible verses, sure, but they are not allowed the pastor. What Joyce Meyer does is wrong.
Is Joyce Meyer a Pastor of a church? Does she even preach in a church? From what I can see she has a ministry, women are called to ministry.

You can decide she is wrong leading people to Jesus and ministering to them with The Word of God but I'm not sure God agrees with you.

I've also said the Holy Spirit is the only One who can change hearts/minds. no matter how much we post here, He is the One who does the work. so let it go, and allow the Holy Spirit be the Holy Spirit.

amen.
He can change, when we are open for his voice. But at seems the most of usthas their conviction and are not open. Thats the point. You can discuss till the Lord returns without changimg your minds.

1 Corinthians 11:3 [SUP]3[/SUP]But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Here the clear order is given.

God
Christ
Man
Woman

Once again you have reinterpreted what is plainly written. The clear order given is as follows:

Every man \ Christ
The woman \ man
Christ \ God

Man relates to "the woman"; specific singular, not plural. These terms may be translated "husband" and "wife" as Greek does not have distinct terms as English does.

So the result is not God / Christ / Man / Woman in overall general hierarchy. Had God wanted to establish that hierarchy, He would have done so specifically. He didn't.

Oh yes He did. It's right there in the scripture before you. All you have to do is read it and believe it. You read it clear enough, you just don't want to believe it.

You're welcome to your interpretation. Just as you don't accept mine as valid, I don't accept yours as valid.

Mine at least follows the text exactly... so it surprises me that you, who claims frequently to believe Scripture exactly as it is written, do not do so in this case either.

You do not follow scripture exactly, not even close. Believe as you wish.

"But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ."

NASB

"Now I want you to know that Christ is the head of all men, and a man is the head of a woman. But God is the head of Christ."
CEV

"Now I want you to realize that the Messiah is the head of every man, and man is the head of the woman, and God is the head of the Messiah."
NIV

---

As you can see, English translators are inconsistent regarding "a" and "the" in this verse. Greek does not have any definite article in front of "woman", so both "a" and "the" is an interpretation of translators.

Ya know, as I reviewed this thread just now, something occurred to me. I wonder how many of these messages on this thread would be considered reasonable and acceptable conversation in a face-to-face group discussion. Just imagine being assembled together at a Christian coffee house or fellowship group and hearing some of these comments with Jesus in our midst. Look over some of the comments, read them aloud or to yourself. Determine which ones are reasonable, insightful messages and which ones would be considered absurd pretense and cultish histrionics.

I'm not pointing fingers, it could very well be me. :p Or it could be you. Just read the comments on this thread out loud and determine in your heart who is in their righteous mind and who is... well, waaaay off base.

Then you'll have your answer to the op's question.

That rules me out, after you said "coffee house" I wouldn't be giving out advice,I wouldn't even be there!

Well, it's very true that a lot of talk has gone on here that is not Christian-like at all. However, the truth to the main question being discussed on here lately is not going to be ascertained by searching comments and developing any earthly opinions of them. As always, the truth is found in the verses within the BIBLE. Some will go by them and some will not, but THAT is where the truth is found.

Loyal disciple, did God create evil?
How does this have any relevance to the subject? But to answer your question, God DID NOT create evil, but allows evil to exist in this world only for a season. The Scripture verse that supposedly says that God creates evil is misunderstood. That Hebrew word means "calamities" and God does indeed bring calamities upon this earth, such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc. These are natural disasters under God's control, and their effects on human beings are seen as evil.

I would offer…Whenattempting to do the commandment as God works in us to both will and performHis good will working with us as Emanuel ..2 Timothy 2:15 informs us to studyto show oneself approved unto God and not the approval of men .

Do we need aman or woman to teach us?
.Or do we give that honor toone not seen, the Spirit of Christ, the preacher .

After all both men and womancan plant the seed, and water it with the water of the word as prophets and pprophetesses.

If we were to think of men above that which is written as a wayof one gender lording it over another. What would be the purpose? Do men havemore of the spirt of self-control then a woman or the same seeing they are ofone creation?

The reformation elevated awoman to the equal status of one creation, mankind .Now she did not have to lookover a high wall to see the ceremonies used to speak of Christ, as shadows .She is a member of the kingdoms of priest participates equality in the new ceremonial laws.

[SUB][/SUB][SUP]1 corinthian 4:6 [/SUP]And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for yoursakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which iswritten, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.Forwho maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst notreceive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadstnot received it?

God is simply not served by human hands as a will .If he can put his word on the lips of a Ass, as a unclean animal used to represent natural unconverted man that must be redeemed with a lamb . I am quite sure it applies to woman putting his words on her lips whom he has cleaned through the water of the word, the same water, representing His Spirit he washes men in .

The woman to not teach had to do with private matters something she should discuss with her husband athome. And if they do not come to a agreement then they would take their differnces to theoffice of a husband and wife as deacons and deaconess who together have had successes in their wisdom with their children.. The teaching is not offering our private interpretations as a person bias asif we did need mankind to teach us.

The word teach has meanings.Just as one is our father in heaven and we call no man father on earth the sameapplies to teacher, good master. Even theSon of man Jesus when called good teacher master replied and said; Only God notseen is good in order to establish the law of faith.

Nehemiah, I thank you for your response, but I specifically asked Loyal disciple.

Loyal disciple, did God create evil?
Actually that depends upon your definition of "create". Eve was actually the first to perform evil with her disobedience to God. That is where it all began. God created Eve, which then she did evil and began evil. So, in this sense, no God did not directly create evil Himself.

Others may say, scripture says God did create evil so that must be true. My belief is that the scripture is saying that God created Adam and Eve and gave them the opportunity to do evil if they chose. Which Eve did and that is where it began.

So, it is sort of a yes and no answer to this question. Yes God did create what first started evil so one could say He created it Himself. And no God did not directly create it as Eve or some other human first had to choose to do it.

So, did the makers of the atomic bomb create all the deaths in Nagasaki OR did the person who dropped the bomb create that disaster ? It all depends upon how you look at it and really it makes no difference how you look at it. Evil is here and we should do our best to avoid it.

So, my final answer is yes God did create what started evil, but He did not "directly" create evil. And the Bible does not say that he "directly" created evil. It only says he created it. There is a difference.

(Btw, who was God talking to?)

God said, “Let us make mankind in our own image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

God made us all in His image. We are no longer under the curse, Jesus said. We are no more male or female, no longer Greek or Jew. We are made equal in the sight of God through Jesus Christ.

Just like the religious men who wanted to stone a woman caught in adultery, (and who also did not bring out the adulterous man involved), a few of you men want to put women under the law. But Jesus said, "Nope. I don't condemn her." And if Jesus doesn't condemn a woman caught in the act of adultery, He certainly doesn't condemn women who follow Him and teach and preach about Him all over the world out of love for Him.

Search your hearts. Why do some of you get so angry that God uses women? Why are you so unhinged when a woman is put in a leadership position for God? How is that a threat to you personally? Why are you really so angry??

Nothing non Christian-like about what I just said. Unless, of course, you declare "truth" as not being Christian-like.
Whose truth ? Your own as a private interpretation or His as His interpretation of one who was there working in the affairs of men ?
