it is true that The merit in salvation is Christ and Christ alone. nevertheless, we also know that without faith we cannot please God. Our salvation is indeed based to our faith in God and the belief that he raised our lord from death. If it is true that only my belief didn't have the saving power it is also true that it is through it that I am save.

Hi,

Trinity is at work for our salvation. The complete scriptural statement in regards to salvation is "For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves..." Eph. 2:8

God bless

Faith In and of itself will not save, although faith pleases GOD.

If GOD had not of provided grace, your faith would not have saved you,but GOD did provide the grace and we have access to this grace through faith, and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of GOD.

I am justified by the faith of Christ because of my belief in Christ. Christ's faith was demonstrated on the cross. My faith is demonstrated by my walk. I can either walk after the Spirit or walk after the flesh. My faith waivers, however, Christ's faith never waivers.

God provided BOTH grace & faith.

Romans 12:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.

Neither grace nor faith alone can save you. Both have to be implemented.
