... between actually asking questions compared to those who want to preach at others without knowing their audience or even caring to know?

I'm thinking 4% asking questions, 95% of folks trying to mesmerize with their "brilliant" sermons, and 1% None-of-the-above.

What's your guestimates?

And what's the percentage of people who actually read the impromptu sermons often?

(I'm in the "I rarely" camp.)

For those who actually read them, how often was it worth the time?

BDF is a virtual reality AI program. I am the only real person interacting with it. I type in responses and it replies with challenging questions and refutations from virtual reality monikers (like Depleted). It is a tremendous learning tool. I am going to suggest to all of my friends that they download it and use it.

Hah BDF AI! Thought you could trip me up with that OP to make me think that real persons are involved.

And then you have people making threads which have nothing to do with the Bible in a BDF forum. :)

Looks like a ten to one ratio of visitors to members so who knows. I'm only expected to witness and trust the Lord for the increase.

Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Frankly, I have found less than a handful of people on here I would trust to be able to give me answers to the kinds of questions I might ask.

Some have been saved for 2 years and are full of questions, others 52 years and are full of 'answers' to help.
Other than that what can I say?
Caring to know the audience? Maybe they can start a KOF (knowing others forum)?

But, even if there is a lack of trust, don't many answers get you to the point of thinking of things that didn't come to mind until you asked? A different perspective to take off on?

I looked awhile back and didn't realize I had been on here about a year and a half. I participated in many of the discussions and questions and lately have not been very active. The whole thing here has changed as you have said. I get on here and go down through the threads and don't even read most of them.

Yeah, like the Speak Your Mind thread that's approaching 50,000 posts in less than a year. It's the most spiritually uplifting thread on this site. Instead of tearing each other down the contributors lift each other up.

Well...............DON'T BLAME ME.............I've done all I could to rectify that! :)

BTW...........the OP needs to adjust their percentages............. they left out the 1 % of us who ACTUALLY DO KNOW EVERYTHING!

That could be seen as you only want to hear what you want to hear.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

God doesn't tell us what we want to hear but what we need to hear.

BDF - brain dead feeling

The problem with faith, is it is very emotional. I mean I know I am right, God told me.

I got talking to one guy, trying to ask him some deep meaningful points. His response was, I just write the first thing that comes into my head.

Sometimes reading what someone is saying can be very challenging because it implies something that can be painful.

I have found it fantastically illuminating because honestly I would never meet such a diverse group of blessed people anywhere else, and you all have something to offer to the Glory of God.

The newbies have a few questions.

The "answers" usually cancel each other out.

But most are proud of their doctrine.

Sacred cows ,for the most part, have a built in gyro. You can cut down all 4legs and the thing stays upright. A freak, but miraculously upright.

Hey, what can I say? I don't know everything, so how can I possibly know who does?

What I want to hear is what God says on a subject. I'm with Willie. I tend not to trust many on here, because too many are busy telling what they say on a subject.

Not good.

Better to ER on the side of grace, love, acceptance and forgiveness.

...than the other, which is Pharisee legal dogma with death all over it.
