I'm just curious if anyone could shed some light on this question. Many people are convinced that the Earth is billions of years old and that all current life is a product of evolution through natural selection. In order to come to these conclusions people cite evidence that they observe in nature. Is it possible that Satan has the ability to manipulate matter so that it's easier be convinced of these things when observing the physical evidence? Could he have manipulated fossils and other things to assist in this deception?
WOW, what a fantastic question, and one that I used to think about.
Time is immaterial to God, there is no time as we are subject to. "In the beginning" means just that. It is proven that we are mage up of star dust, the chemical formuli that make up a living body wasn't produced until the first super-nova and all of them since, it astounds me when I contemplate the works of God, the forming of the stars our sun and the planets, and our moon colliding with earth and the earth tilting to give us seasons, the phases of life on earth to bring us to where we are with the resources we have now, coal, oil and the precious elements we as the human race reap from the earth.
The Holy Spirit showed me a while ago that what Darwin found was the echo of Gods blueprint for creation, all the wonderful creatures He created.
I could go on for ages but, pray and contemplate on this, God bought before Adam every living thing for him to name. There were a lot more around then than we have now. Did God sit Adam down and say 'OK for the next 8 hours (or so) you are going to name animals, I want 20 per hour and you must do this until it is all done', I don't think so. It will have taken over 3 million years to get through them at the rate mentioned before, I think, know Adam would have liked a bit of time with each one, don't you? I know I would. feeling the roughness or smoothness of their skin or fur or scales or hair and thinking of a name befitting each one, I would be lucky to go through 20 a day.
Adam was also given the task of populating the earth, before he was thrown out of the Garden of Eden, Cain and Able were the first born out side the garden.
There is so much history in one little verse from scripture, but satan had a specific job to do, God made him as He has fashioned us, and all the other ministering Spirits some of which sided with satan and all of which are bound to this earth to wait the finishing of Gods purpose.
Satan does have power on earth, it is his domain and Jesus has already won the war on the cross we have to win the battle within our own hearts now.
It wasn't until after the fall that time began for us goodness knows how long Adam was in the garden, but while there time was immaterial to him as well. God planted a garden to keep the humans He had made safe, if you want specifics then you will have to wait like the rest of us for Jesus return and then we shall know all there is to know, including exactly what the fruit was that tempted them so, and who the serpent was, whether a snake or a worm, and why they cant speak now when they clearly could then.
