If so, please let me know where I should go on here to find fellow NT believers... as in VERY straight forward - straight from the NT questions/answers.

Thank you!

That is sort of a troll-like question.... I believe MOST people in here try to use scripture to explain their responses. Some people come to different conclusions as to what that scripture is saying, but there are different levels of spiritual maturity here, as there is everywhere else.
Feel free to ask your questions... see what your responses are. If you are simply wanting to prove that YOU are a NT believer, and nobody else is, I suggest you look elsewhere...

To tell you the truth, I would send you to seek out the poster who calls herself *JesusLives* if you are looking for a Godly person who certainly has her own ideas, but does not engage in the hatefulness so many of us do because others don't agree with us.

You need the old to understand the new or else you will be lost. Even Jesus had used the old as a reference to what He is saying, He correlate the old with the new but in the spiritual perception and which the old is from a natural perception. Like it says not to eat unclean foods and which it correlated to the souls is not to absorb unclean spirits, because what happens to the body that eat the unclean foods that reacts in the same way as a soul that has absorbed evil spirits, that the both becomes defiled. That is why God cannot have unclean souls dwelling in Him.

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

10 “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things ( The old testament) and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

Hebrews 5:12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death (Sins are acts that leads to desolation)), and of faith in God,

If you doesn't know how to perceived the spiritual nature of the word like poets can by observing the natural, that it will cause you of doing acts that leads to death; like calling your brother (Gays) a fool and which that is being very judgmental because you considered him as being worthless as an old fool. That is why we are having a lot of religious wars, that their perception has been distorted. And so we need to practice on how to perceive God's word.

And which Parables are spiritual teaching by using earthly (Physical) nature as references, or a crutch to lean on, to help you to understand.

Categorically false...

So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: "Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, 'To the unknown god.' What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for "'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, "'For we are indeed his offspring.' Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead."
(Act 17:22-31)

Only the preacher needs a good grasp on the OT. These Greeks new nothing of the OT unless we assume they did.

But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.
(Act 17:34)

No.. this is a good thread to follow, and it was a good question... I simply wanted to clarify, since we have a couple of semi-regulars that do a sort of hit and run.... throw out a controversial question, then argue with all the answers, and disappear.
There are many, many good folks on here, and you will certainly get a variety of responses. It's totally up to you to "separate the wheat from the chaff" :D Oh... I also forgot to say "welcome"...

They are called Jews. They believe in Christ. Just not that he has come to earth yet which forgoes the entire teaching of Christ himself!

Maybe so..., Ho did each and one of them were able to speak in different tongues without a schoolmaster? Huhmm, I wondered how did Moses had known about what ahve happened from the beginning?

29 God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. 30 Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. 31 He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. 32 He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. 33 He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. 34 From all nations people came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.

Exodus 4:10 Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

13 But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.”

14 Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you. 15 You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do.

6 “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

7 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

9 Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

Genesis 18:13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

And how do you know what the power of God can do or even know where the gifts comes from? You have to have the word instill in you so that He can bring it to life. And so that is the person needs to be Baptized with the spirit, as it says, that the spirit will remind those of every words that comes from out of the mouth of God.

Thank you sir.

I can see there are some extremely different view points on this site. I don't know if that should concern me or not...lol

I say New Testament Christian because with the New Covenant with Christ the old - having served it's purpose (although not to God's satisfaction) was done away with. The old laws no longer apply.

If one were to simple read the New Testament with an open heart - it's SO clear and simple Jesus wants YOU. That's it! No more sacrifices, or out dated customs. Your heart and mind is all.

How this can be argued (and it is) is beyond me.

No one is denying the necessity for the Baptism of the Spirit.

I was only answering your faulty statement that said, '"You need the old to understand the new or else you will be lost."
I simply showed Greeks that got saved without prior knowledge of the OT, instead they were milling around the Areopagus and the marketplace having speculative discussions about their gods...not unlike what goes on here on CC. :p

And they wouldn't understand what He has done for us. A lot of people always asking why did He had to die, and the answer is in the old.

The clearest explanation of what Christ's work meant is found in the NT Epistles.
The OT contained shadows and types of what was to come.

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
(Heb 1:1-2)

When it says 'He has spoken to us through His Son', it is speaking of the Apostles teachings transmitted to us in writing. (Even the four Gospels are included with that since Jesus never wrote an Epistle).

We must interpret the OT in light of the New not visa-versa.
