When you picture Heaven in your mind, how do you see it? Knowing what you have learned in scripture, how would you describe what you believe you would see? This thought greatly encourages me in my walk with the Lord .... People , colors, creatures, angels and most of all..... seeing the Lord Jesus!

I look at a person and see who they are trapped in their sin and the lies of the world. I see some in pain, both physical and spiritual.

Then I close my eyes and pray. When I open them I see who God wants them to be...happy, healthly, freed of the lies and rejoicing in God's glory.

It is but for a moment. I imagine that heaven will allow the second vision become reality and last for more than a moment.

Until that time I pray and allow God to show me how I can help those around me be more like the person I know He wants them to be. Fine was to cut a few chains, watch God chase away a few demons, talk to them and slowly feed them Bible verses. (not too much at once because they are starving and will throw up too much meat) Watch how His truth heals.

In Isaiah 45:18, God said He created this earth to be inhabited, i.e., lived upon, and it will be that way in His future Kingdom here on earth also. The meek shall inherit the earth, as written.

In Isaiah, He also tells us we will build houses and plant vineyards, and no one will claim or steal our labors.

We all will have the "spiritual body" type Apostle Paul taught about the resurrection in 1 Cor.15. It is a body type that will not die, nor get sick, nor feel hot or cold, and it will be able to live upon this earth. It won't pollute this earth either, which because of our flesh requirements today that does cause man to pollute the earth.

The whole earth will be one huge Paradise, even temperatures across the whole globe. The oceans and seas will no longer exist, with those waters going back up in the atmosphere to fill all the holes in it, forming a protective canopy over the whole earth. Dew will water much of the earth, so no more violent storms.

The Father Himself will dwell with us, upon this earth. His River of the waters of life will flow out of His Paradise (Eden) to all other waters on earth which will be healed with many fish (see Gen.2).

Those saved will have right to the tree of life, it bearing its fruits per its months with its fruit never being depleted all year.

Man's concept of time will be no longer.

This is the image of the kingdom that Israel looks forward to upon the earth.

The church will of course have freedom to abide on the earth and in the new Jerusalem but the church will also abide in the ethereal heavens which is also the abode of the angels and other creatures God made before He made the earth.

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

I don't know how Heaven will look like, but I know for sure it won't be boring like some people think.

Heaven is the abode of God.

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God."

Honestly, I have no idea. Nobody can "picture" heaven. Because as it is written, no eye has seen, no mind can conceive.

But if I could muster a guess, I'd say the streets are made of gold and are lined with jewels, rubies, diamonds and other precious stones. Nothing gets dusty and ever needs cleaning.

I believed that heaven is not a physical place, but sort of a state of being. And there are two states, the lower realm and the higher realm. But it says that God did not came to judge the world, but to save it and which it sound as if He is going to bring this state of being that He is, to combined it with our realm in order to bring it to life. And I also believed that the word resurrection means to bring something to a higher level; and it says that we has fallen from that level, but that is why it says to bring us back, to restore all things as the way it was in the beginning. Right now we think that the good times that we has are the best of times, but it is not better, but a small taste of what He has to offer.

Matthew 22:30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

Luke 14:14 and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

Acts 1:6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

Acts 3:21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.

Isaiah 1:26 I will restore your leaders as in days of old, your rulers as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City.”

Some things like heaven are still a mystery to me:

Where is heaven? What is the location of heaven?

I saw the title of your thread, “Heaven,” and thought for a moment it was something I had posted, since I have started threads about heaven before. Heaven is what your life turns into after you repent of your sin:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV
And this is how it happens:

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 21:2 RSV

Where God is... that is where His Abode and Heaven is. This some doctrines of men refuse to understand...

Rev 22:1-5
22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:
4 And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
KJV

The above Scripture reveals God's Throne and the Throne of The Lamb dwelling where His River and the tree of life is. The below Scripture reveals the Holy City, and tree of life is on earth during Christ's "thousand years" reign, inside gates, while outside the gates of the Holy City is where the wicked will be...

Rev 22:14-15
14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
KJV

God's Paraside of Eden, which is His Abode, was once upon this earth, with His River of the waters of Life, and the tree of life...

Gen 2:8-10
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
KJV

Ezekiel 47 is the parallel for the future of God's River upon the earth once again, with the many trees (tree of life) on either side of the River, with its waters healing other waters upon the earth. It is given with a specific location, one of the locations being Engedi in the Middle East.

That is where God's Word declares the faithful of Christ's Church will be, and not floating upon some cloud in outer space.

that God “stretched out” or “spreads out” the heavens.
God “created the heavens, and stretched them out” (Isaiah 42:5).

“He stretcheth out the north over the empty place,
and hangeth the earth upon nothing”(Job 26:7).

The phrase spreadeth out comes from the Hebrew natah,
which means to stretch or spread;it can mean to extend in every direction.

Scripture refers to the heavens in this way a total of 11 times, by the pen of
five different biblical writers: Job, David,Isaiah, Jeremiah and Zechariah.

Four verses (Isaiah 45:12; 48:13; Jeremiah 10:12; 51:15)
use a form of natah that literally means the action was completed
some time ago. Seven instances use a form of the verb natah
that implies continual or ongoing stretching (Job 9:8;
Psalm 104:2; Isaiah 40:22; 42:5; 44:24;51:13; Zechariah 12:1).

Both of these aspects of this stretching can be seen in Isaiah 40:22, which says
that God “stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.”

Stretches out comes from natah and implies something continuing today,
while spreadeth comes from the Hebrew mathach (this word’s only use in
the Old Testament)—meaning to stretch out and implying something
that God has already done and completed.

Job 9:8 tells us that “[God] alone spreadeth out the heavens.”

=

“Praise him, ye heavens of heavens,
and ye waters that be above the heavens.

Let them praise the name of the Lord:
for he commanded, and they were created.

[h=3]Isaiah 51:16 (KJV)[/h]
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand,

that I may plant the heavens,

and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

It is true that the New Jerusalem will be a cube that will have its base upon the earth in the holy land, and will also stretch upwards into the sky, which a stadia (Greek) is said to be about 1380 miles.

Rev 21:15-16
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
KJV

Some have asked me where will there be room for all the believers on Christ Jesus in the holy land, since they think the New Jerusalem will only be stretched out horizontally on earth. That answers it.
