A believer., a born again child of God is not sinless., we will sin because we still have this flesh to work out what Christ has put in. But Christ gave us the gift of no condemnation. We have been purged from a guilty conscience and the way to wisely USE this gift of no condemnation is by applying grace.

And so, a born again Christian is not sinless., a born again Christian is guiltless.

I've posted on these forums long enough to know many will disagree with this. But reading the many struggles of the believers who come to CC looking for help, it's clear that an understanding of grace and the gift of no condemnation must be applied. Most Christians don't avail themselves to this amazing grace we have been given. Jesus didn't say get cleaned up before you come and ask for help.

Do you have a guilty conscience? Why not through the grace freely given, receive the gift of no condemnation?

I think that's what's meant when the bible calls people blameless (instead of sinless or perfect).

Blameless
G273 ἄμεμπτος amemptos (am'-emp-tos) adj.
1. irreproachable

We are guiltless because we are in Christ and clothed with his irreproachable righteousness. That's really grace in a nutshell.

That's actually the proper way to interpret our stand as Christians under Christ Jesus.

We can never be perfect without sin like our Lord Jesus while still in the flesh. Like Apostle Paul said, "For he that is dead is freed from sin." (Rom.6:7).

Yet we as believers on The Father and His Son have an Advocate (Christ Jesus) to represent us before The Father, in forgiving our sins so we can be 'counted' perfect in His sight (1 John 2:1).

If we say we have no sin, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us, as per the Apostle John (1 John 1:10). If we confess our sin to Christ, He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Amen!!..hopefully this will help young or struggling Christians in their life now.

Guilt, condemnation and shame are never the tools of the kingdom and the Lord does not sub-contract out these to the enemy.

Guilt is a sub-conscious confession ( what you hear about yourself ) that you are not forgiven.

Condemnation is the sub-conscious confession ( what you hear about yourself ) that your life is worthy of judgment.

Shame is the sub-conscious confession ( what you hear about yourself ) that the thing you are condemned over is still who you are.

All 3 of the above are anti-Christ and anti-the finished work of Christ. These are not tools of heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
[SUP]19 [/SUP] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

The above is our true ministry of the Lord to people. Brethren - don't let anyone or anything rob you of what your loving Lord has done for you. As you have received Christ - walk in Him - free to live and love as we grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus and our Father.

A believer., a born again child of God is not sinless., we will sin because we still have this flesh to work out what Christ has put in. But Christ gave us the gift of no condemnation. Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Luke 6:36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

James 2:13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Luke 18:14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Jonah 3:5 The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth. When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust.

Matthew 12:41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.

Sackcloth (Hebrew שַׂק saḳ) is a term originally denoting a coarsely woven fabric, usually made of goat's hair. It later came to mean also a garment made from such cloth, which was chiefly worn as a token of mourning by the Israelites. It was furthermore a sign of submission (I Kings xx. 30 et seq.), and was occasionally worn by the Prophets.

Matthew 3:4 John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.

Luke 15:22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

Philippians 1:20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

I suppose the biblical way of saying it would be we "receive" His grace...which is the same as applying/accepting it to our lives....it's good to receive the gift of righteousness too..

The greek word for "receive" = Take, take hold of, grasp, seize,: receive, get, obtain

Complete Biblical Library Greek-English Dictionary, The - The Complete Biblical Library Greek-English Dictionary – Lambda-Omicron.

Romans 5:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

The gospel of the grace of Christ is truly life-exchanging.

Amen !!!!!!!!!!!! Except that we do not apply grace, we accept it.

The no condemnation belongs to those who are no longer in the flesh, or no longer walking in the lusts of the flesh, or no longer living in sin, which is the works of the flesh.

Those who defend ongoing sin do so because they are still in the flesh, and unable to cease from sin because they are not yet truly born again of the Spirit. So they speak of what they know naturally, and of what they see in themselves, but it is not according to the whole Truth of being truly set free from sin.

Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

When you are born again of the Spirit you are no longer in the flesh.

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

People say as long as we are in the flesh we shall sin, which is true, that's why you must be born again of the Spirit and given a new nature in Christ. If you are truly born again of the Spirit you are no longer in the flesh, which speaks to the nature and spirit working in the world and in mankind.

Jesus said that which is born of flesh is flesh, but that which is born of Spirit is spirit. When you are truly born again of the Spirit, the old fleshy nature and body of sin dies, and so by Christ's own death and resurrection from the dead you are also then set free from the power and bondage that sin and death once had over you by way of the law of sin and death.

You can truly be set free from sin if you would only believe what Jesus and the apostles say is true. To deny this very truth, is not of faith in Christ.

Acts 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

Leviticus 19:18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Leviticus 19:33 “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them.

If no one has reached this leveled in Life, then they are no better than the law-breakers of the old covenant. We all need mercy, for we are unable to reach them goals because of our weaknesses. And so, to make sure you doesn't be judged, then we must not judge others and do what we want done on us by being merciful.

Christians will and do sin ( the verb) but sin has been dealt with and is a done deal in Christ and we need to recognize that no one walks after the spirit 100% of the time. We will all in some form or other walk after the flesh at times in our life.

There is a massive difference between the flesh with the power of sin in it and the new creation in Christ. We have been circumcised from our flesh and the heart by the circumcision of Christ. ( Romans 2:29, Eph 2:11, Col. 2:11 ) Abrahams's circumcision was a type of the circumcision of Christ to come which has now been done in us.

The noun "sin" is still in our flesh which has power of sin in it still which is why we are to set our minds on the things of the spirit and not our flesh.. See Romans 7:14-21..the power of sin which is in our members wars against the mind of Christ in us.

God separates the sin as far as the east is from the west from us.

We are not in the flesh as believers but we can walk after the flesh. We are in the spirit and we should be walking after or by the spirit.

1 John 2:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
[SUP]2 [/SUP] and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

The latter clause of Romans 8:1 - who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit - is not in the older manuscripts. So it is a variant that is a possible repetition of the end of Romans 8:4, possibly done for doctrinal reasons.

So in this case, walking after the spirit produces the righteous effects of the law, but it is not the cause of no condemnation.

There are those who say Christians are to rid themselves of sin consciousness, but then they turn around and say they will and do sin, yet with no consciousness of sin, how are they to be made aware of it, or repent of it? I have even been told it is wrong (a sin) to identify as being a sinner! The ridiculousness that comes out of this type of thinking is never ending, it seems. These people contradict themselves all over the place and therefore make no sense. But of course they do not see it. They are blind to their own folly while they are tripping all over themselves.

It doesn't really matter because they ('grace' believers), like the gnostics, believe that salvation results from focusing on one's identity as an incorruptible spirit being. That to them is repentance. One of the popular 'grace' teachers has said that sin is merely a symptom of a confused identity.

It comes across sounding so absolutely and abhorrently cultish.

Brethren - don't let anyone or anything rob you of what your loving Lord has done for you. As you have received Christ - walk in Him - free to live and love as we grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus and our Father.

Guilt, condemnation and shame are not tools from heaven. Christ who is our life is what heaven has sent for us to live by. Believe in Him only and in His finished work on our behalf.

We have a good, loving Father and a great salvation in our Lord!

Guilt, condemnation and shame are not tools from heaven.
That is why some of us consistently reject you calling what others
believe "garbage." We know where your condemnations originate :)

so for this very reason, We must all reject grace, and teach works..

Is that how you really read that?

I read it like he said it, Anyone who teaches grace believes that way.

Those were his words not mine..
