I sometimes enjoy your posts, Alan, but I am wondering what purpose is behind this one. Do you believe the Catholic church is completely evil? You are going to incur the wrath of many Catholic Christians on this site. If you are really trying to inform out of a sense of conviction from God, then your purpose is a righteous one, but if otherwise, then be careful.
hi glenn . iam noy a catholi basher brother..i have friends who are catholic.there are many catholics who truly know the lord and are saved .but when you look at history the teachings of the catholic church and the political and spiritual role it is having today wich is bringing together all faiths and all the rulers of the nations come to the vatican to engage with the pope ,, she is the only organization that can fullfill the biblical prophecy of rev ch 13 to cause the nations to worship the antichrist .. this is a very very bold thread i know glenn but i want to open the didcussion up want to clarify iam not against catholics many love the lord ...but iam bringing to light the true role it is playing today in international affairs ............... fullfilling bible prophecy glenn
glenn thanks for your reply... the truth is the catholic church is meeting with world religions ,,and says that the god of islam and christianity has the same god as we both share the same father of our faith ....abraham this was a quote from jhon paul the 2nd is this really christianity,,, im just wanting to debate the real road the vatican is taking by forming a one world religion..,, there are a lot of catholic who love the lord and im not saying all this to just be critical but open up the debate..

the word Allah simply means The God in english, the The has the connotation of ONLY and unity and oneness and all who believe in one god and speak arabic use this word, christians, muslims no matter, it is simply a perfect word for god in the arabic language and cannot be changed to denote a sex like goddess etc.... it is arabic language which is very complete.... so all who believe in one god use the word Allah, it is only a different language not a different god
the illusion the the catholic church that it is christain is an illusion there were 3 crusades to capture jerusalem in the 10 th an11th centurys to remove the muslims from jerusalem now the present pope actaully prays to the same god as muslims this is a worldwide movement funded by the united nations its actually happening.and make no misunderstanding thinking well they pray to the christain god and the muslims pray to allah in this mosque they believe they have the same godpope jhon paul the 2nd taught that [ abraham unites their common faithand that they both have the sae god is this christianity ..no.. here also the pope met recently with orthodox rabbis and muslim leaders to talk about bringing world religions together,,,,the teaching of the vatican has completley changed ,,,and is now going to oversee a one world religion..

There is a uk Christian website. There are a couple of people on it that I would completely agree with doctrinally. I believe their theology to be excellant and I have been blessed by it, but theology is one thing, without love and compassion it is simply making a noise. They spend all their time on this website finding fault with the RC religion.
Now personally I do not agree with much of what the RC believes and stands for, but on this Christian website the only results of these types of discussions are animosity and people not speaking to each other in love.
Actually the person on that website that shows the most kindness and loving attitude to others is a Catholic. If people malign his denomination he never replies unkindly. He alweays offers encouraging support to those who need it, and when he is personally asttacked he always replies with kindness. I do not attend a specific church, and as I have said I could not agree with so much RC doctrine, but it is by a persons love for others that they show the most Christlike of attitudes, and his testimony of that almost made me visit an RC church.
I used to think if only you could put one persons head knowledge of the Bible with another persons fruit you would make a mighty Christian from the two

Because of my beliefs a church that could show a works based Gospel is one I personally could not accept the doctrine of. But as a child I went to a protestant church(I will not mention the denomination) that continually preached against and found fault with the RC church. They said the Bible was the infallible word of God and we must follow it all rigidly.
Ten years later I read the Bible for myself and I found that this fundamentalist church had not preached much of the message of salvation. In fact although they were so critical of the RC church in effect although this was not publically said they were far more strenuous about a works/goodness based Gospel than the RC church.
Actually one woman who had discovered true grace had been to this denominations church and said that they are very similar to the Catholic church in many ways, in her opinion they were the two churches most unlikely to accept true grace, and yet doctrinally they would be considered the two churches furthest apart, It really hit me when she said that, it is true.

Why not instead of inventing your own religion whenever you get tired of something or reinterpret something differently stick to the faith that Jesus himself founded on the rock called Peter. Christ is the the church which is given life by the Holy Spirit. To Peter he said "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." The Church's members may be sinners but in Christ we are set free from sin.
