The Holy Spirit is always with us. We are told (1 Thess 5:17) to pray constantly.

I received the Holy Spirit about a year after I got baptized and after much prayer. It felt like electricity flowing through me. It flowed through me in waves, starting near my head, and flowing to my legs. Then repeating, again and again, for about half an hour until I got up out of bed. I thought it was rather strange, but I was unsure what it was. Then it started happening while singing in church (mouthing the words, if I'm honest), when I read verses in the bible about Jesus and the Second Coming, and in response to prayer. He started communicating with me, identifying Himself as the Holy Spirit, telling me that the Bible is true, Jesus is the only way, and that He is coming soon.

The other night at church, for whatever reason, I didn't have the energy to worship the Lord. So I prayed, "Lord I don't feel like worshiping but I love you." I looked down, eyes closed, and then after I said that (instead of going through the motions) I felt His presence. To me it was like an "I love you too." Other times I am worshiping and I feel His presence, and its wonderful... it feels like it engulfs you. He most definitely has a tangible presence.

As for experiences with the Holy Spirit, I am attempting to decide which would benefit you. Okay, I've got one. This is in terms of practicality. The Lord is wise and all knowing and so I think we should invite Him into our daily lives. Surely if you have any problem you need to solve He has a solution. This testimony, coming up, just points to His awareness.

My brother in law's son came over and looked pale/sick. So I actually spoke in tongues and my brother in law interpreted it and the Lord said there was an outbreak (or plague) of laryngitis. That it was going around (hence, like a plague). Funny enough, the next day as my sister was bringing her son to school a friend of my sister came up to the car and waved hello. She pointed to her throat motioning she didn't want to speak and was sick. I said, "Let me guess, laryngitis?" She gave a thumbs up, confirming what the Holy Spirit said the night before.

VVhat people fail to realize is that the Lord desires to be active in our lives. He desires fellowship, and intimacy. He can enlighten us about the most intriguing topics. Sometimes we, my brother in law and I, will just sit there asking Him questions and He is gracious. Other times, He has a lesson for the day, but most of the times He is generous and answers our questions. Its a lot of fun and He has a sense of humor. Like one night it was late and my brother in law wanted to head to bed but I wanted to keep fellowshipping so the Holy Spirit said to him, "You have all eternity to sleep." lol

I hope this inspires you to invite the Lord into all areas of your life, because He is wise and all knowing.

...share your experiences with the holy spirit...
I always am aware of His Presence with me, and have been for many years.

The more one prays, the more that person will experience His Presence with them...

One day not long after having received the Holy Spirit, I was sharing what I was reading in the Word with a fellow student at the U of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

This lad had a marked southern accent, and he told me he was from Cairo, Illinois, which they pronounce Ky-row with the area accent.

When we were finished conversing, the Spirit moved on me to open my mouth and speak saying, "When you get back to your home town, Haifa, please greet all the folks there for me."

His mouth dropped open, and he asked, "Ho did you know I was born in Haifa?"

This was something given to me to underscore our conversation as genuine. It is wonderful to open the mouth and speak because if we listen to what we are saying, we learn. I refer here to when we share the Word, not just the gift of knowledge.

Hard to do...........hmm........my experience with the Holy Spirit is a minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day experience because of His indwelling presence.

I suppose the "witness" of this is the drastic change from who/what I WAS before Him, and who/what I am now.
