Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

I have read that the greek behind the english word "for" could mean either "because of" or "in order to produce" and there are differing opinions on this verse.

What does "raised again for our justification" mean to you ?

Guess you need more of the passage first:

Rom 4:19-25 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Earier context around this passage is also about faith..

(Rom 4:7-9) Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

and :

Rom 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

So this passage is about righteousness imputed by Christ without the ordinances of the law. But through faith.

And Jesus-- died for our sins. And He started the local church system of service.. that runs by faith and not the dead OT Law.

So we would not only die but also be raised with Him and the power that raised Christ from the dead is in us, we can be lead by the Spirit.

Our whole faith is based on the resurrection of the dead, it is the proof of what we believe, in the resurrection is all we have been offered.
It is our life in Him, it is our salvation through Him it is the final seal which vindicates us from the filth we were into the brightness and Son-ship of God the Father through Him.
In His sacrifice, through and because of His resurrection I am vindicated, my son-ship is vindicated and I am Justified, I have received my justification.

The Greek word is dia which means through, or on account of. I don't think for is a good translation of this word because it makes it look like death/resurrection were done for the purpose of accomplishing sins/justification. That doesn't make sense. In fact, it's just the opposite. It was through (on account of) our sins that Christ was delivered to death (which accomplished our justification), and it was through (on account of) our justification that he was raised from the dead.

In other words, sin was the basis of death that accomplished our justification, and our justification being completed was the basis of resurrection that accomplished the full reconciliation of man. The former had to be completed before the latter could be accomplished, i.e., the latter is based upon the former.

We are not saved by the death of Christ, we are saved by His life. Without the resurrection we would all still be dead in our sins.

"For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." Rom 5:10

"For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins." 1 Cor 15:16-17
