I just came to the conclusion that women must be God's masterpiece

why else would the devil try so hard to distort something beautiful that God made?

some of you so called men here are exactly the reason why your wives are unhappy

you blame women, but really little boys...it's you
why do you pay attention to it,, is it joyful or hurtful to you

I stopped watching one news channel because one of the reporters is a woman and I can't look at her ever even though she is modest in the way she dresses and it is no fault of her own. So I don't watch the one news station ever. I imagine she didn't want people to look at her because she use to style her hair as a nerd.

What I'm saying is, you can't expect me to go through life with my eyes closed either and I'm going to see because I have to get through this life.

The analogy is that if you want to keep your machines clean, you don't let them sit in a dirty garage. You have to clean the garage if you don't want your stuff to get dirty and if people have no moral problem with dressing not modestly then from a lawyer's point of view, it is a mutual responsibility. I was visiting my Dad in hospice and one of the residents was sitting on her bed naked with the door open and she was having mental problems and the nurses saw her and some of the residents saw her because she had the door open and she took her clothes off. And if you think you can go through life not seeing anything inappropriate then it isn't going to happen.
I've diverted my eyes often from looking at guys. Sometimes it was because they were dressed provocatively, and sometimes it's just where my mind goes. But, yeah, it's my problem, not theirs.

As for the woman in the hospice? I would have closed the door and told her I'm doing that for her, not against her. And then I would have gone to the nurses' station to get someone to help her. I know the kind of mental disorders that cause that, and, eventually, a caring nurse would keep dressing her until her mind stopped taking her there.

My point has been, if we start seeing people as people, not some eyesore or some piece of meat, we do know our responsibility (and stop laying the blame on others.)

thanks Coby

I just saw red...you know? the mercury in my thermometer went right to the top and spilled out LOL!

this guy comes back with wanting to know if I wear shorts with my naked butt hanging out

I would like to literally punch his lights out....the hypocrisy in this thread is off the charts...we seem to have men with imaginations that would vie with Hugh Hefner and those are the ones that are quoting Bible verses about modesty

they seem to think that if they talk like their eyes have never seen anything, then they can tell women that it is their fault they are lustful beasts

I think I'm still angry......LOL!

Do you know what's in every woman's heart that you can judge them?
Women wear tight jeans because everyone does that, to fit in. Wide jeans makes you look manly, well if you're skinny. They forget sometimes though that skinny jeans is for skinny women, so you see nothing. Those girls in our church wearing tight and too open shirts were so stupid, they had no idea. Someone had to tell them. They thought it was normal. Women think different.
I used to put make up on in church, a lot, red lipstick, the fanciest dresses to please my husband. When he was not around and I went to the office I looked plain like now that I'm single. I thought you had to obey and please your husband. If other men would think I did it for them that's their stupid problem. Only did that when I was young and had no idea how men thought.
You blame a kid for wearing a nice pink dress and then a pervert looks at her?
Just to let you know, everyone doesn't do that. I wear tight jeans only because I haven't notice I gained weight since I bought the jeans. BUT, I bought them wide originally, because they're more comfortable that way.

And, yeah, wide jeans make you look manly even if you are heavy. They make everyone look manly, even men. lol

Then again, most of my clothes are men's clothes, simply because marketers think women are gullible enough to think we'll spend twice as much for the same pair of jeans a guy wears, just to have some feminine label on the seam. They simply didn't take into account -- me! I'm too cold to walk around with no clothes, so since I got to wear them, they will be comfortable to wear.

But other than that, yeah! I dress to please hubby. I fell in love with him because he took all of me and likes what he got. Today I wore my yellow sweatshirt, because it's bright and cheery for him.

Not a one of us is putting lipstick on in the church parking lot for the guy waiting to see which door to go into, but, instead spends quite some time leering at us.

Man u kids r on FIRE this Sat...:)

May I suggest from experience on this very site... that WOMEN and MEN are in FACT different?... Meaning that they do not FULLY understand each other psychologically.

You be a PHD 3x over but it's just NOT gonna happen. We will never walk in each others shoes. EVER!

The fact is that (originally) men were created to be the pursuer and women the ones perused... this in fact held true until the 1960's for the most part. AND in most of the world this is STILL the case..

SO.... our hormonal and emotional make ups are different. Men are IN FACT visually stimulated... women don't seem to REALLY understand this. They think that since they too see with their eyes that they should see the same things that men do. But of course this is rarely the case; With most everything; Women see beauty where men don't.. etc.

So when we see girls in Yoga pants it's a different interpretation to US then to the girls who are simply wearing them because they are comfortable...

Again this is a go-nowhere topic that has and will continue to elude both sexes... :)

And be glad for that...:)

Exodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

People were required not to do stuff that was not modest. God didn't tell people not to look.
God told us not to look... unless you'd rather pluck.
Matt. 5:29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.

Here's why women can't teach or usurp authority over the man.

1 Timothy 2:14 KJV
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
good thing men can't be decieved...;)

What's that got to do with women in ministry? I think enough texts are pasted here to show women didn't just shut up in church in the Bible. Not gonna repeat them.
Actually, I think women are supposed to shut up in church... according to what Kaylagirl said several pages ago.

And I don't see the relationship between proper manners in church and who should be a pastor.

I see a distinction.

I also don't think it's a matter of great importance either. The truth is, no matter what we feel, we're already in churches that agree with us on this one.

I don't think anyone who believes differently than I do is going to hell. I don't think women pastors are going to hell. I don't agree with women being pastors, but I just think they missed their true calling. God uses us however, even if we never find our true calling. And he loves us even if we missed this concept altogether.

I am against women being pastors, but I am NOT against women pastors. They're still my bros in Christ. (The universal "bros," just like when I say "you guys," i'm not cutting it down to just males. lol)

His image is not female because God is spoken of in masculine terms. Scientists have looked at the brain and can't tell if it is a female or male brain. It is how you were wired that makes you male or female.
BUT God is the wirer, not the wired. He does prefer the male pronoun for what he is called, but his name for himself is I AM that I AM -- gender neutral.

He's God. We won't know what makes him do the male pronoun until the big face-to-face. I suspect, by then, gender is out of the picture. I could be wrong.
