The Bible says if we do not love people then we are nothing.
The Bible calls it charity which means love in action not only saying I love you but not helping people.
The Bible says faith and hope will pass away one day but chairty will go on for ever. That is because faith and hope are only needed in this world. When you are in heaven you do not need faith and hope anymore because you are there in heaven.
The Bible says if you do not love your brother then you are in darkness.
The Bible says love is the fulfilling of the law.
The 2 greatest commandments are love God and love people.

It is all about love.
God's kingdom is love and man's kingdom is selfishness and arrogance which is not love.

The whole business about salvation is love.
When we come to God and confess Christ as our savior and are saved what we have to learn is how to love.

When we come to Christ we are learning how to love people for we have to be perfect in love to make it to heaven a kingdom of love.
Jesus said be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect. We have to become perfect in love to make it to heaven.
It's all about love. It's all about learning to love people perfectly to have salvation.
The Bible says if you do not love people than you can see how can you love God that you cannot see.

The Bible says that we have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. What we have to work at is how to love. When we confess Christ as our savior we have to learn to love people.
It is all about love.

You have to measure up to God's standard of love to make it to heaven.

4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8Charity never faileth(1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

This is God's standard of love which we have to obtain when we come to Christ to receive salvation.
Love does not sin.You have to obstain from sinning to be nade perfect in love and it is love that gets us to heaven.

I say this because some people do not believe that you have to abstain from all sin to make it to heaven.I am pointing out that we have to be perfect in love to make it to heaven in which love does not sin.You have to abstain from all sin to be made perfect in love.

Matt

What a beautiful, eloquent, and hopeful statement. This radical concept of love that you speak of; where on earth do you find it? Is it available in my local market? Can one purchase it on the world wide web? Does my local parish keep it in store? Can I receive it from a pastor or priest? Is it available for a seed offering as the television evangelists proclaim? Does it come from my worldly wealth, my ownership of home and car and gold? Can a sufficient spouse supply me with the abundance that you declare? Is it in a bottle or perhaps in aerosol form? Is it a balm from Gilead? If I work tirelessly will it then become mine? Tell me, tell me, I implore!

you make that sound like ' I have to do this' or I wont get into heaven? you will never in this life be perfect.

Love is what brought Christ to die for us to save us from the wrath of God. we Love because we Have the Holy Spirit in us, our hearts are changed, yet I do not think that we will be perect at love in this life, God's love is though.

why do you think you have to abstain from all sin to make it into hevean? do you have to work your way into hevean? we should be sinless, but we are not yet we have an advocate when we do.. and we will.

I agree that the true message Christ bought to us is Love, this is proven by his ultimate sacrifice for us. It is also a major lesson found throughout the gospels. Even though we're all sinners and lacking in the perfection of Love in this human life we are to strive to Love one another even as He Loves us.
I wonder at times if I'm even close to achieving that.

I think at times we all wonder if we are close, of course we usually aren't, but with prayer and obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit in us, we will certainly strive to love all people..sometimes that is very hard.

I love what Paul says about the Spirit leading us into this in Galatians:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. "

Prasie God that he loved us, and sent His son to die for us.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit(Galatians 5:22-25).

9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother(1 John 3:9-10).

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh(Galatians 5:16).

You can be perfect in love if you are led of the Spirit. It is hard for some people to believe that we can be perfect but God does not lie and God says we can be perfect. There is so much hypocrisy going on that people do not think it is possible for people to be perfect by all the hypocrites we see.I am not perfect but if I let the Spirit lead me I can be perfect. The thing is we let our flesh have it's way more today than any other time among the saints of God.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me(Philippians 4:13).

I am not perfect but by the Spirit I can be perfect. If we sin we have to get right back in the Spirit and not live in that sin.

Its clear in the word if you don't love you don't belong to God.
