Did God created only one, the best one world or all possible worlds with all possible combinations of good/evil?
Would it change anything in our christian view/theology?

He's obviously created many other galaxies and planets, anything beyond that is pure speculation. If there were other inhabited planets it wouldn't change anything that I believe....but it would certainly enlarge what I believe.

i seem to be exceptionally stupid today, but doesn't universe by definition imply just one?

thanks for the help :)

oh, i see haha!

i fully agree all we have to go by is what is written, and no 'new discoveries' would change my belief in that. :)

I first heard about the multiverse in comics as far back as the mid sixties.
Now science has put it out there as a theory that may have merit.
I don't say yes, but don't discount it either, using the bible a guide about if heaven or hell, and where the fallen angels were banished to, there may be another vibratiional plane where these things exist.

Does the spiritual realm, where God is, count as another dimension?

My phone and internet is giving me "fits" today.

OK, I will clarify my question a little bit.

Multiverse theory propose, that our universe created in the Big Bang event is not the only one existing, but is only one from the infinite number of other universes with the wide variety of conditions, living forms, evil/good etc.

Neither galaxy nor a planet nor a dimension is "universe". All this is existing inside of the universe.

thank you for expanding your thought.

this is where we enter the realm of the speculative, though, and i am loathe to go beyond what is written.
i know i'm on solid ground there, but i hope this proves fruitful to someone. :)

Yes, its only a hypothesis (with some very good leading evidences, though) yet, but my question was more speculative - what would it change in our christian view, if anything?

perhaps since our Christian view is based on nothing less than the Bible, it wouldn't change a thing.

what do you think? :)

One universe but expanding galaxies. Its a scientific proven fact that the galaxies are expanding. God hasnt stopped creating. He is the best creator I know and I think he rather enjoys it! He just keeps creating all kinds of things:)

Glory be to God!!

God created the stars, lights in the sky, galaxies etc, just for little old
planet Earth and for us. What a gift

Genesis 1:14-16 NKJV
[14] Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to
divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for
days and years
; [15] and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens
to give light on the earth"; and it was so. [16] Then God made two great lights:
the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night.
He made the stars also.
