Why we hate sin? His children cannot sin because they are born of God,KJV.1John3;9,Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him;and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.;The Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil, KJV,1John3;8,He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.;Of course,His Children stay on His side when He make it war, KJV,Revelation17;14,These shall make war with the Lamp, and Lamp shall overcome them; for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.;They're hate as He hate,KJV.Revelation2;6,But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. Thanks the Lord for the right to stay on His side and overcome with Him.

This post makes me think if the lyrics of a song I have been playing recently.

Sin so bad its a liar,
It says we're on the throne tells God to retire
It says he ain't enough, says we want more
It says he ain't just, says he ain't Lord
Sin is the laugh of his power, rape of his mercy
Mock of his patience, says he ain't worthy...

Sin is the complete focus of self.. Idolatry, self gratification, sin spits in the face of the one who made us... Tells us that's it's what we need.. Diminishing God and all of his creation.. Bringing complete separation between us. We should all hate hate hate sin. It causes billions of souls to live in torment for eternity.. Sin is murder, paedophilia... Sin is the complete opposite of what he is.....

If he is light and love and all things good then sin is darkness and hatred and all things bad. Sin hates God the maker of all things.. We bow down to sin, the hater of our father. Think about that for a moment.... like wow how dare sin even show it's ugliness. Gatecrashing the party of Eden. ....

Anything that is in sin is not in God and anything that is in God is not in sin.... Light has no fellowship with darkness...

We should hate that which caused our blameless saviour to be marred beyond recognition..... Yuk....

Who will free me from this body of death? Thanks be to God who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 7:24/25)

I rambled there haha... Sorry. I just hate sin ! Xxx

Yeah I hear ya. But,,,,,, If the Holy Spirit convicts us of righteousness, it makes sense to say that we are also convicted of what is unrighteous as well. If the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth , it makes sense to reason that the truth includes the truth about sin which should be convicting to any true believer right? John 16:13
I think, sometimes, we like to sort of bask in the poorly translated "beat-down" English words of the KJV. We revel in the thought of being "convicted." I think it satisfies the perceived need for punishment many of us have.

But, are you ashamed of, or remorseful about, or guilty over, your righteousness in Christ? No. (At least, I hope not.) Personally, when my wrongs are pointed out to me by the Holy Spirit, I am gently reminded that I want very much to do better so that "Daddy" will be proud of me.

Hi 20

do I misunderstand you?

are you saying that Christians no longer sin?

I know English is not your 1st language, so please explain if you might

Thanks! :)

I sure agree that God hates sin...personally, I have to learn to hate it more...it's like my body is a shell for my soul and spirit and they don't always get along

I don't think I hate sin itself and I certainly don't judge others for their sins, but as for myself it isn't even my own sins that I hate what I hate is everything about me that isn't him.

When you adore and respect someone strongly enough just as a small child who adores and respects and loves someone and imitates them the same goes with God. I am fascinated by everything about him he gave me salvation he gave me hope he gave me a reason to live but this isn't why I fell in love him, as he and I grew closer and I began to be able to see deeper into his heart more of his nature of his way of thinking his ways of seeing even what he would say in any situation I fell deeper and deeper into that sea that is his heart and I adored all I found in it.

It interesting how one begins to despise everything that isn't him inside them not in a judgemental kind of way but a deep desire to be just like him, I can't say it's the sin I hate.

"I hate myself." That at times has been the reverberation of my thoughts in self-reflection. This thread is asking for what reason do you hate sin? This question can be answered in consideration of others, but I'm going to take a different route. For me one of the biggest reasons I hate sin is because it haunts the mind.

Its always there, in memory, to remind us of how we have fallen short of God's glory. It attacks any innocence that we thought we had. In some ways the sins of the past are kept secret, never to be told because of the horrors we perceive would be upon the faces of the ones we love. This I hate about sin. It is a stain upon the conscience.

Along these same lines, I hate sin for the very reason that it gives ammunition to the accuser of the brethren. It equips the enemy to taunt, belittle, and condemn us. To throw us under the bus in a never ending onslaught of worthlessness. If we look in the mirror to see ourselves we most definitely do fall short of God's glory. Indeed, the beauty of God's holiness is awe inspiring. It makes my heart cry for sanctification and that is where there is hope.

The hope of the Lord bringing us through His process of sanctification is like a glimmer in the dark. There is light! There is hope. All that we have done in the past cannot define us, because present action speaks louder than an echo of the past. More importantly, His righteousness imputed stands at the forefront to tell the accuser of the brethren, "I've been set FREE!" It is Christ, in me. Its a renewing of the mind to identity. I am righteous, in Christ. The righteousness of God, imputed. I am a new creation! He says to be holy as He is holy and you bet with that command there is providence!

So yes, I hate sin but how I love God. How I love righteousness and holiness! Sin is sweet for a moment but the taste lingers until it is bitter and putrid. That is my cry today, God sanctify me! The past does not define me, it doesn't need to be brought up and pulled out as a skeleton from a closet. I am to reckon myself dead to sin and alive unto God. A new creation. To walk in who God has called me to be. Praise God that my sins of scarlet are as white as snow, the sins of crimson as white as wool. The blood of Christ has set me free and under God's grace sin's dominion is broken. Hallelujah.
The problem with sin is that, in the end, it makes us miserable.

I hate sin because it means I have departed from God:

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

I also hate sin because it easily entangles me:

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us

I love God because He tells me that I have the victory over sin through our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Corinthians 15:56-57 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I love God's Word because as I hide it in my heart, it helps me not sin against Him:

Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

I hate sin because it disappoints God. I hate how it destroys families and friends, and how fake we have to be to appease to it. I hate how it leaves people wondering in la la land their whole lives. I hate the illusions it has. I hate having to die in the first place, we weren't meant to be this way. I hate all the hurt, corruption, perversion, and death it causes. I hate the grasp it has on people to search and soak in the murderous ways of the world instead of wanting what's good and righteous. I hate that I was fooled for so long. I hate the fake powers he holds. I absolutely passionately hate satan & he knows it. He has no give or mercy, but neither do I when it comes to exposing him and saving souls for Christ. So until the first death does me, satan knows he's found another enemy...& God knows He has another true warrior in His Name.

I'll wait for what I love about Christ thread for the polar side.

Because anyone who sins is a servant of sin and sin only wants to humiliate you and ultimately conquer you. And from the start it wants to make you feel so ashamed of yourself that if Christ ever calls you out of the world it wants to try to make you believe you were too bad and shameful for Christ to saved. And that is straight up what sin wants to do to people.
