Grow a brain and quit lying about me. I said his questions were ignorant. You turned that around to say that I was talking about him.
We need to read all scripture in context. Anyone can take a string of unrelated scriptures and make them say what ever they want.
The book of Hebrews is written to the Jewish people about accepting Christ as their sacrifice and not the temple sacrifices.

If you sin you will not lose your salvation,as long as you repent of it,and get rid of it,for a sin does not put us in a position that is terrible to get out of,for the remedy is simple,repent of that sin,and it is forgiven,and Jesus said He will never leave,or forsake us,so He is still there waiting on you to repent.
As long as you allow the Spirit to lead you,you are saved,and you are not under the law,which means the law cannot touch you for prosecution,but if you sin,at the time it is not repented of,you are under the law,but if you repent of it,you are not under the law.
It is a simple remedy if we sin,repent of it,and that is all it takes,you do not need to be baptized again.
A simple sin does not put us in a terrible position,that we cannot easily get out of,and Peter had a problem for 14 years,and doing what is wrong in the eyes of the Lord,for Paul withstood him to the face,and told him to stop it.
So it can happen to the best of us,that we might engage in sin,which we are not right with God until we repent of it,but it is simple to repent,and that is all it takes,and do not beat your self up over the sin,for once you repent,and God forgives,it is over,which some people might be hard on them self after they repent,but it is over,which we like to show God that we are truly sorry by beating our self up mentally,but it is over,and you have to forgive your self.
The book of Hebrews was for the Hebrews..in Chapter 6 and 10 the author of Hebrews was telling those Jewish people that if after hearing about Jesus as the Messiah..coming to a knowledge of the truth.. they then reject "receiving" Jesus and go back to the temple to do their jewish sacrifices. If you reject Jesus..there is no other sacrifice for sins..
His Blood is enough!..That's why there is no repentance. There is only one sin that is unpardonable = not believing in Christ. This is the willful sin.
The willful sin one is just so lame..again talking about Jewish people rejecting Jesus as the Messiah and going to the temple for their cleansing of sins and not accepting Jesus as Savior.
All sin is willful too..If it was willful sin...none would be saved according to this doctrine.....no..it's the willful sin of rejecting Jesus that leads one to destruction
Hebrews 6 :4-8 is talking about jewish unbelievers who saw God in action..miracles ( partakers of the Holy Spirit..like Judas did and saw )..they were "enlightened" that Jesus was the Messiah but refused Him.
Hebrews 6:9 is now talking to believers.." But, beloved ( this is a believer ) we are convinced of better things of you., and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking these things."
The author of Hebrews wanted to reassure the believing jews that this ( verses 4-8 ) did not pertain to them incase they took it wrong and it upset them.
Context is everything....you can't take a scripture out of it's setting...context is everything.! If you take scripture out of it's context..that "text" will "con" you...

Sorry, I thought you meant the people not answering his questions were ignorant, not the questions themselves. I had pointed out you were one of the people ignoring him, thats all. Now that you clarified you see I wasn't bearing false witness. I didn't accuse you of calling him ignorant.
Let's just get him to answer the questions. He'll take you forever down rabbit trails.

Why are you such an instigator and a trouble maker? Ignorant questions aren't worth answering.
These questions expose the damaging error of false teaching and beliefs and also serve to help the young in the faith to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.
Our purpose here on CC is to help young Christians grow in Christ and to protect them from false doctrine that is contrary to the gospel of the grace of Christ alone for salvation.
Not answering simple honest questions reveals the reality of what the real truth is and what true faith in Christ is.

..it was good for getting me to laugh at your post...Have you ever sinned willfully?...if so..then it is impossible to renew you to repentance then. Now you are forever lost ( not really..if you are saved and in Christ then Jesus has you in His hand...I'm just kidding with ya' about being lost..)

One needs to understand salvation. The Lord forgives a repentant sinner. That will always be true. In that sense we are all saved, because when we repent, the Lord will forgive us.
But there is a flip side. For those who refuse to repent of their sin, look out! The Lord will be as gentle as he can in leading us to repent of our sin, but some people are so stubborn that it requires a great deal of misery before they will turn from their sin.
Maybe a longer version of Hebrews 10 might help to get the overall picture in the book of Hebrews. It's important to see who the book of Hebrews was written to in order to get the context. It's written to the Jews and the author of the book of Hebrews is to give them perspective as to the Messiah.

Amen! These many people in Matthew 7:22 had the wrong foundation. They were trusting in THEIR accomplishments/works to save them and not in CHRIST ALONE. Jesus NEVER knew them. The term know implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him, not merely theoretical knowledge (John 17:3). These many people have received salvation by grace through faith in Christ.
Their hearts were not right with God, so their attempted external obedience amounted to self righteous disobedience. This is why Jesus referred to them as WORKERS OF INIQUITY/LAWLESSNESS! Without faith it's impossible to please God. "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith" - Romans 1:17.
These many people will say, "Lord, Lord," but did not do His will (Matthew 7:21) "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:40). The correct answer for these many people would have been Lord, Lord, didn't YOU live a sinless perfect life, die for my sins on the cross and rise from the dead on the third day, I trust exclusively in YOU as the ALL-sufficient means of my salvation and not in my works.
Amen! In Hebrews 10:26, to "sin willfully" in the Greek carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual, which stems from rejecting Christ deliberately. This is CONTINUOUS ACTION - A MATTER OF PRACTICE.
Now we don't walk along our daily life and accidently fall into a pit called sin. We exercise our will but, the use of the participle clearly shows a CONTINUOUS ACTION. The unrighteous practice sin - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21 not the righteous, who are born of God - 1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 John 3:9.
In Hebrews 10:39, the writer of Hebrews sets up the contrast that makes it clear to me that he was referring to unsaved, not saved Hebrews who willfully sin/draw back to perdition: But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Those who draw back to perdition do not believe to the saving of the soul and those who believe to the saving of the soul do not draw back to perdition.

a person that has been genuinely saved can lose their salvation. Although it is a difficult thing to, as Jesus said he would leave the 99 and go after the one. It is a miserable life often leading to alcohol and drugs. Paul would say those that endure to the end as well as others who make the same statement. Eternally security is true but, unconditional eternal security is false.
