27Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

I wonder why good, nice people leave this chaotic place called " CC ". Could it be they're departing from evil? This site claims to be Christian but what is seen on the majority is anything but Christ like. My question is are they departing from the evil that has contaminated this site called Christian Chat?

Next time ask them before they depart...I guess it is too late to ask them now why they left.

Not in discussions in CC are evil. There are many great ones and we can all learn if we have the proper mindset. I wouldn't throw the baby out with the dirty water. There has been an all out attack on the gospel of grace through faith alone for salvation lately but I think only in the BDF.??

I too believe it's important to protect our hearts and there is a thread about that very thing. And - No , there is no such thing as Christian porn - LOL...the term is used to illustrate how to protect our hearts by what we see with our eyes.

YES! ... yes, yes, yes ....

My time here is growing less and less ... and the only reason I wasn't able to leave straight out was because this world is so absent of any kind of biblical exchange ... and I am hungry for it.

God has told me twice that this place at best is the blind leading the blind - both shall fall into a pit ...

This is my goodbye...my last day here.

The site sometimes gets into real doldrums, where there's hardly anything going on but continuous repetition, a continuous bickering over issues that should be resolved, fundamental issues of the faith: arguing over babies' milk, going on in thread after thread. If you don't feel the need to discuss what salvation is any longer, what grace is, etc, or don't wish to be part of a baptisms or rapture rehash, what is there? Then, if you start a thread that is different, it just dies or the truth of it instantly refuted, yet some of the most ridiculous threads, right down to the title, going on for page after page, and for days. There are those here with issues, who just want to bicker, aren't actually interested in deeper truths. Scripture does warn against vain disputings, also. Add to this those who trollishly make a career of refuting basic scripture truths, what is there, for a believer who wants something beyond all that? Sometimes it's all just a bore, the same old stuff. Except for trolls, why don't you tell some of us who needs any of that?

It's not only this section, just refresh your browser from the main page, and you tell me how much Godly discussion and conversing goes on. This " all out attack " you speak of rains true with more then what we've visited in the last few days. I feel bad for those coming to seek Christ, they get led into a den of vipers. I don't ever think Jesus would send someone through such, He is not the author of confusion.

I'm feeling the same, God wants us to always have peace and love. This place is far from peace and love. I don't know that I won't read, or check around from time to time, but I'm for sure taking a big step back; and yes, a decline approach might be best. God bless you, thepsalmist!

I have been to a few places where things have been cordial and edifying. The news place along with BDF can be the equivalent of being in downtown Baghdad sometimes..lol.

I think we just need to leave the scriptures on the subject then trust the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to us. We need to learn when to let some things go and take the hit when being reviled too.

Bless you Pamela - you were a light of love and humility since your time here. We will miss you and really wish you wouldn't go. We need loving, strong believers that know our Lord's heart.

We are all aware of the saying, “Never discuss religion or politics,” yet here we all are discussing religion.

It is always painful when someone disagrees with us. There’s the first test: If someone disagrees with our point of view, can we control our temper, or do we need to take a jab at that person? Mature Christians can argue a point without taking jabs at people they disagree with.

The second test might be more difficult. What happens if someone takes a jab at us? Should we jab them back? Well, it might only seem fair that we do, but when you lose your temper and jab someone back, you’ve strayed from what you were trying to: You were trying to make a point. If someone insults you, it’s probably because they’re losing the argument and can’t think of anything else to do. In other words, the argument is yours to win. Would you rather make your point or would you rather insult them? The mature Christian would rather make his point.

It surely looks that way.
But I haven't seen you argue with anyone, or call them a name, or any other un-Christian behavior. Youre always polite, and try to be friendly. You even try to give encouragement, and more importantly, you always use the scriptures to God's glory.

So why not just leave them, and let them get back to their err... socializing.
Just now... just now... But before I do, I have some... You know, i think you are right. If they don't want it, why force it. No! I feel divided. I feel I have to do this. Let them throw me out, as they did Jesus.

It's sort of an addiction.

ThePsalmist, I think we all get a little beat up here. It's a great place to work on one's debating skills, though.

TheStudent, yes, it seems like the best intentions aren't always met with appreciation. Look what happened to Jesus. He came to the world to save us and we killed him, and we made it legal.

theStudent. Why is it, whenever you come around, everyone just goes silent, and then leave.
Are you the problem?
Just to settle your convictions bro, it has nothing to do with you, I would hope more like you come around cc. People like you is what this place needs more of. You're a very nice person and uplifting type, and are seeking a deeper relationship with Christ, there is nothing more that I can respect of a person to do. Peace and love to you
