As mentioned, a lock on the thread means it cannot be replied to
When viewing the thread, there is also a blue button that says "Closed Thread"

The rest sounds like it's server side since several have the problem, but you could always try:
- sign out
. delete cookies
- sign back in

just in case it magically fixes stuff.

Same here. They have been working on a mobile edition for the site. I wonder if that plays into it?
Usually that message about leaving the page pops up when you start
a reply and want to leave before you post, but today it posts anyways...

Closed. and that has been mentioned already. But people are going after the mods and complaining about how they operate.

This site has a lot of grace and patience for everybody here that is somewhat respectful, even if they go against the sites beliefs.............I have even said some things that I regret and even wondered if I was going to be able to log on the next day!

They give everybody a good dose of the benefit of the doubt around here, if they are respectful for the most part.

Most here remember Jason007. Taught sinless perfection tooth and nail.......but was given a ton of grace by this site and mods. And we got to defend the faith to him..........very heated in most cases.

This site does a good job IMO, and the mods have been mentioned enough that they are probably watching a little closer. We need to just let the mods do their jobs.......I have no complaints.

This is probably why we are seeing so many closed threads.

Love to Jason. He keeps being brought into conversations while he is long gone. I liked him :) He was very respectful while under fire from multiple posters at once. I don't know about sinless perfection, though. He taught that there are things we must do to maintain our integrity in Christ. While anyone could post a long list of dos and don'ts, Jesus gave the great commandment, that fulfills all the law and all the prophets :)

I thought his goal was unreachable. He did make me realize I could do better, and not settle and compromise. He inspired me to do my best, while at the same time I have not put undue pressure upon myself.
It was something that I don't think we hear enough today. Grace is great. And we all need in boatloads, but sometimes we hear it so much I think we forget that we need to strive to be as sinless as possible.
And a lot of us, myself at times; I am not consistent as I would like to be, compromise when we should not be. Because we say Jesus will understand, or God loves us, or "we have grace."

Whispering: (Pssst, it could mean God is having us practice that patience thingy again. At least, that's how I took it earlier, until I just found out others were having the same problem.)

I don't take anything personal honestly, if I do I just pray n let it go. I honestly think a lot of folks are seeing what I don't say and saying I said it lol. Kind of like we add thoughts to what is threre in the word. sinless perfection? Naw, never have claimed I'm perfect, or anyone else is. The thing that upsets people, is the same as the beginning, obeying God is not something people want to do. it means theyd have to change their ways, or repent. I'm sorry if anyone has any dislike for me, But I am after the approval of the One that Died for me. the "gospel of Grace" doesn't ignore sin in our lives, it takes it away, gives us the righteousness of Jesus in sins place. When you get to believe your not a sinner, obedience becomes your heart. anytimm.obeying Gods word is not the most important part of Christianity, theres a problem. if there is truth, it will acknowledge the truth. if paul had meant we were to not even acknowledge sin anymore, or that obeying Jesus wasn't our Life, why did He write way more about those things than the atonement ? why are we instructed how to deal with sin if its irrelevant? Ive never claimed perfection, always claimed there is forgiveness IF we sin, its a concession, we don't sin to increase Grace, we follow righteousness and THAT increases Grace.

Acceot that Gods will is for man to obey His word, Accept that because you really believe that you are new because of Jesus. that's Just Gods word.....and anyone who wants to, or tells others to follow Gods word, will not be accepted much in the church. That's another fact, a sad one indeed, but if a man is a new creation in Christ, the old has Gone, the new has come. Live who you really are, a Christian.......throws hands up, thanks Jesus for His name and Word that is Life....and will be praying for anyone who doesn't like me much :) god is still Good, and tells me " blessed are you when men mock you, and insult you because of me, for Great is your reward in Heaven."

If anyone will do what Jesus says, you will then see the truth and be set free indeed. again Jesus words.....paul lays a foundation for Faith unto obedience, from the heart. His few grace statements, are not the beginning and end, That would Be Jesus, His words are Life. They are the only way. Truth.

Being called to perfection is not a call to sinlessness.

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
-Matthew 5:43-48

Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another;
for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
-Romans 13:8

For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement,
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
-Galatians 5:14

If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the
Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”you are
doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin
and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
-James 2:8-9

Jesus Himself clarified that the sign of a true disciple was their love for others:

By this all men will know that you are My disciples,
if you have love for one another.”
-John 13:35

yes totally agreed, what are Jesus teachings if not perfect Love? if He is not teaching us how to treat others with Love? that's my whole entire point, Jesus teachings His words are how God teaches us to LOVE others. to turn the other Cheek is Love, to pray for those who are against us, is Love, to do the teachings of Christ is How God says to Love one another and also Him. That, what you are saying is exactly my point. Jesus teachings are true Love. Laying ourselves down for the sake of others, that's what His teachings are, How to Love Like Jesus Loves Us. Love isn't mans Love, its shown By Jesus. I just a moment ago caught myself being rude to someone not even finishing their comment, and yes, I felt convicted, asked forgiveness and repented of it. will I ever make that mistake again? maybe but it will not be because I tell myself its not important to do what is right. once I recognized....the right thing then according to Gods word, was to repent, confess to the person and ask forgiveness, now..no more conviction, praise God. sin is not acceptable to God. The more we accept that it isn't and follow The teachings of Jesus, we are truly purified more and more. so to simplify I realize I ramble...the greatest commandment you have stated, the teachings of Jesus is the details of that commandment. really look at that thought and His words. Greater Love has no one than....Jesus teachings

also Jesus said "if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples....so add this to what you said about Jesus saying...He said the same thing. His teachings are His Love

Here is the response to the thread :

I think this thread has gone on long enough. I would ask you all to take a good look at some of the language, attacks, insults and misquotes those have done on this Thread. We call ourselves Christians , but some of the things I have seen have not been Christ like.

If that is not you then don't worry about it because This doesn't apply to you. But The BDF should be a place where those who want to speak on a topic and hopefully support their doctrine, teaching, position on the thread they posted.

However, doing that WILL NOT ensure those will agree with your understanding. If CC is to banned everyone that you or I disagree with then we would only be a few here. a mod and two or three :).

can one lose their salvation ? is it required to be baptized? or is one not saved unless they are baptized?

IF you go back and read the many post... All of these question have been answered. The Problem is after answering many have also attacked, insulted, and used language that is not appropriate. If you want mod's to start banning and not give long suffering and give a mod time to pm the person to which a complaint has been filed , then I must be fair to those who are in CC and do to you what you are asking me to do to them when you are breaking rules.

Please know there is no way we can fully correct ever issue or problem you have with someone you have made it personal with. They don't agree move on the post you provide in the context should be clear enough for those to see your biblical position. After they pray I hope and ask God and continue to study the right answer will be made known to them IF we answer in LOVE and truth. God word will Prevail my brothers and sister :). If you have an issue; please give the mods time to work it out and yes their are two sides to ever submission. You insult then make a Complaint and the person you complained about shows us your actions. You will be held accountable too.

Thank you for your post, I think many of you provided very good arguments on what you believe the bible says about the thread . I say Good job to you.

God Bless CS1
