A sound bite without any surrounding context? You can make Joyce Meyer say anything with that kind of 'scholarship'. I don't agree with Meyer on quite a few things, but they're not key tenants of the Christian faith. Her terminology can be a bit off at times, but still, I would think she's referring here to God watching our every move/seeing everything. We should be discerning about what is being taught as God's truth, but we also need to be careful to tell the truth about others. It's interesting how many Christians have no problems with slandering others in the faith. I'm certainly one for speaking out against false teachers. But we need to make damn sure someone is telling us the truth.

I just cut this out of a conversation without surrounding context..... & guess what, no matter how you slice it, it's still cussing. :rolleyes:

You're definitely blowing her statements out of proportion. Anyone listening to her, knows that she's referring to God as the one who sees all (Hebrews 4.13, "And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account"). I'm not a Joyce Meyer fan by any means, but it's completely dishonest to put a spin on her statement when that is clearly not what she's talking about.

What's blowing my mind is those constantly looking for what THEY think are false prophets instead of spreading Christ's love. Has Joyce ever denied the blood of Jesus saves?

...well..what about her statement that Jesus stopped being the Son of God between His death and resurection? Check it out I'm not making it up. come on folks, even Paul was not above scrutiny as scriptures say the Bereans searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Is Meyer greater than Paul? Cuz she ain't teachin what he taught.

That's not what's being discussed here. I don't think any of us would agree with her on a large number of things, but that doesn't mean you should blow statements like what was said in the audio out of proportion.

there is a difference. when a leader with millions of followers are teaching you can be a god, follow Jesus and make lots of money, and refer to our Lord as the all seeing eye. people should be aware of these people, Christians should have no shame saying its not the message Jesus taught.

Haha I'm sorry am I missing something? Is this turning into a debate thread on whether or not Joyce Meyer is a heretic? I thought this was one of the very few clear-cut issues across the forum?

1+1=2, Earth is round, Nirvana was the greatest grunge band (NOT ALICE IN CHAINS), and Joyce Meyer is a heretic. I thought all of these things made basic sense?

I understand, but if I go and say to someone, guess what so and so said in order to belittle them, isn't that the same thing here?
I don't raise this to finger point or condemn, as some may not realise they are doing they are doing.
