During the seder (for passover) I thought a lot about Yeshua and how he is the shadow of Pesach . There are four cups of wine that symbolize the four distinct redemptions promised by G-d to the Hebrews as told in Exodus 6:6-7. (1) "I will take you out of Egypt", (2) "I will deliver you from Egyptian slavery", (3) "I will redeem you with a demonstration of my power", and (4) "I will acquire you as a nation". Each of these cups of wine symbolize an action that was performed by G-d.

I guess I just wanted to throw out here...How has Yeshua (other than the obvious.... the Lamb of G-d) delivered others from slavery and the power of sin with His mighty power and has acquired you individually as His people?.....

Dear Precious MCUBED,

YESHUA is the same yesterday today and forever................HE told Moses I AM THAT I AM..................Then this same JESUS or YESHUA, said in the Gospels to the Pharisees, before Abraham was I AM................

Just search this out, it will indeed help you on your journey..............Your journey back to Yeshua...........There are many, more examples that teach this .........

The Exodus is great show of God's steadfast love and power over all things.

This in itself is a foreshadow of what was to come, Christ redeeming His people, taking them out of darkness, from the slavery of the law and sin, and God's power was once again demonstrated. He has redeemed His people.

On the issue of Land, would require a thread on its own. some say the physical land, yet this could also mean the new Jersualem?

Anyhow, the main point is, the Exodus, though powerful itself in redemptive history, was only a foretaste of the greatness, of the redemption accomplished and applied by Christ Himself.

Thats why it is important to understand the Old testament.. great post mcubed, I love that.
