And to make it pertinent, if I may? How can you use these God-given talents for His glory and honor? :)

No one will be able to compete in the thread after this answer. It's a clear nr 1 :D

I was going to say: Does being a wee bit insane count as a talent / skill? :p

If we are "out of our mind," as some say, it is for God;
if we are in our right mind, it is for you.

(2 Corinthians 5:13)

as they say in my country,

"you go, girl!"

I'm afraid that when it came to inheriting any talents or skills, I was at the shallow end of the gene pool.

I resemble that statement :p

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
(Jas 1:17)

For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive?

I believe the Lord has blessed me with a gift of discernment, which no doubt has protected my family and myself from potential problems, but also has provided me with opportunities to help and minister to people who need it.

I had horses over 40 years ago and had a show judge as well as two different instructors tell me I was a natural. I always wonder if my dad had had the money where I could have gone in the show jumping world. Maybe the US Equestrian team. (I read horses well too). I always wanted to be an instructor and charge a minimum amount, or nothing, in order to give other kids a chance to learn to ride when their parents could not afford it.

I've always wanted that talent. But "used to?" I just found out I can't walk tiptoed anymore. Is prolonged-belching lost with age? Or did sensibility ruin everything again?

I can look right with both eyes, then cross my eyes and then look left. It makes it look like I'm moving my eyes individually. (A talent taught by my uncle.) Double disturbing since I'm walled eye, and most people can't tell if I'm looking at them or the person next to them. lol

I can clean a house or office quickly (can. Hate to) and can sell anything on the phone, (but would only sell something I believed in or saw no harm in selling -- like IT manuals)

If there is a craft that can be done sitting down, I can/could do it -- crossstitch, crewel, needlepoint, (can't so any of those anymore because of my eyes and shaky hands), crocheting, wreath making, basket weaving, drawing, and one I had to stand up and lean over to do, so can no longer do -- stained glass.

Bookkeeping.

Empathetic, but rational, good at mercy ministries, help ministries, and discernment.

I think outside the box. I tend to answer questions in unexpected ways. I also see patterns in things to either duplicate it in different ways or to notice it's a problem.

Marketing and writing.

Also good at resume writing, unfortunately, I don't have the brain speed to do it in 1.5 hours like I used to and most people want a resume done ten minutes before they considered they need one.

A sense of humor, honest to a fault, and a critical thinker. I can also see the Big Picture and the details, but sometimes I forget some of the details.

Addictive personality, so whatever I'm doing at the moment is always the most important thing in the world, even when it's not.

I can turn any recipe for a dessert into a sugar-free dessert unless it requires melting sugar or powdered sugar.

These are Talents that I certainly don't have ----

Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold, (2 Chron 9:13) (King James says Talents)

:cool::rolleyes:
