I don't know if this is the best time to post in this forum or if I should do this being such a new member, but here goes.

One of the first things I learned as a believer was that God would make known the mystery of His will and the mystery of fellowship to every believer that trusted in Christ (Eph 1:9, Eph 3:9). What was so amazing to me is that God would make the promise of His will and fellowship a mystery, something that was hid and He would make it known. I wondered as a young believer how He would do that. There was one thing I was sure of, and it remains the same even today, God would be faithful to what He has promised and I could trust Him completely. This seemed to be the same for so many other believers that I got to know in the assembly and even the fellowship I was having with them seemed to be an unfolding mystery.

There were three things that seemed to contribute to making these mysteries known, 1) the faithful preaching of God's word, 2) the grace of God that was given, 3) the love of God among the believers. The Holy Spirit was involved in all three areas and was responsible for guiding each one into an understanding of these mysteries. With so many on this site from various parts of the world and knowing that all believers have the same Spirit and promises from God, did any of you have the same or similar guidance from God in revealing these great mysteries in the body of Christ?

Great post, and welcome, Sir.

I would have to say that my experience has been a bit more tenuous. Meaning, I have had some issues with obedience, therefore, the pig that I am, and returning to the mud after washing has somewhat blinded me to the Lord's good and perfect will. I can testify that, having been brought to my boar-ish knees finally in repentance, I can see the Lord begin to transform me into a new and beautiful creature; a vessel of honor if you will, or if He wills. I suppose that each of us having a uniquely beautiful relationship with Jesus Christ will give you a vast multitude of answers. I pray that the Lord will reveal to His remnant, His good and perfect will, that we may live for Christ, that He will increase and we will decrease. We praise Your mighty name....JESUS!

glenwood74,

Thank you for your 'boar-ish' response. It seems that you are a man that deeply appreciates the grace of God. I do likewise. To really have godly fellowship with other believers, not only do you have to get to know them personally but you also have to get to know the grace of God that is in their life. It seems that the more we get to know our gracious Father, the more our fellowship with one another is based upon that loving grace that we have received from Him. That mystery of fellowship that we have is constantly being revealed to us through the word ans Spirit and that place of fellowship is enlarged as we walk by faith in that grace we have been given. The fellowship that I have with another believer may be small today, but a year from now it will be a larger place in terms of maturity and faithfulness with Christ being the center of that fellowship.

Not that I dont belive in God revealing his purpose for us, because I do , I really do. HOwever the two verses you gave were not refering to the revalation of each believer individualy. The writers speaks of the mystery of christ. How in past times they, the jews, had not understood all that was to be of CHrist, and his purpose and the way he was to do. But now all has been revealed by christ by fulfilling the law, and the prophecies of what Christ was to do.
