Careful, I guess Jesus was often 'dressed scruffy', especially on his long journeys when He had nowhere to lay His head, and the weather was hot and He had no change of clothes.
Jesus wore designer clothes, Why do you think the people cast lots for them??.
And Jesus is our example.

That rag tag bunch of people are said to be beloved by God.(Rom 1.7). Or were the slaves all well dressed?

God saw them as clothed in His righteousness

What has Rom 1: 7, got to do with it??. Just because God sees us clothed in righteousness, That's no excuse to be an offence to the body of Christ by dressing scruffy.

It was written concerning the Jew going through the tribulation after the Church Age, therefore, Hebrews is placed chronologically after Paul's 13 epistles.
The Hebrew Church doesn't go through the tribulation period, No Christians who are living right, watching and waiting, will go through the tribulation period.

you're misinterpreting. they were people who'd experienced a 'revival' atmosphere when the Holy Spirit is active upon the unsaved. They were land which bore thorns and thistles. They had shown their position once and for all,

No Christian is impossible to renew unto repentance. Christians regularly have to repent, even of gross sins
.

You are twisting the truth to fit your own erroneous beliefs. Being a partaker of the Holy Ghost Heb 6: 4. Is not just experiencing a 'revival' atmosphere of the Holy Ghost, It's a sharing in the Holy Ghost, the word of God and the power of the coming Kingdom.

Jesus purifies me because I cannot purify myself, same as you can't.

Jesus cleanses me from spot and wrinkle.

Jesus says the following:

On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Jesus can't and wont cleanse anyone who doesn't want to be cleansed and live holy lives. We have to let God work in us, by living holy and totally committed to God.
If we don't, then we won't be that pure people without spot or wrinkle.

No they were not tasting is not the same as gnawing or chewing. Jesus showed us that in John 6

you sound like a modern day Pharisee, but let's try to not judge each other it does not help the discussion.. Ok?
TRY reading Heb 6 again, then admit you were wrong. And if you are an honest person you will admit that God is right, and your are wrong.

lol..

[SUP]53 [/SUP]So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. [SUP]54 [/SUP]He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.[SUP]55 [/SUP]For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. [SUP]56 [/SUP]He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. [SUP]57 [/SUP]As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. [SUP]58 [/SUP]This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.

The greek word here means to gnaw, or to thoroughly chew, It is far deeper than just tasting, when you taste something, you do not get to full benefit of what is being offered by whatever your tasting.

I can taste the HS just by being around other believers.. It is called blessing by association. It does not mean I experienced fully (gnawed or chewed on) the gospel. to the point, I have experienced it fully.

Oh, and by the way.. God is right,, You are wrong..

Inherent in the idea of tasting is the fact that one might or might not decide to accept the thing that is tasted. For example, the same Greek word (geuomai) is used in Matthew 27:34 to say that those crucifying Jesus "offered him wine to drink, mingled with gall; but when he tasted it, he would not drink it."

we see it all the time, People come to our churches to "taste" what the church (hopefully God centered church) has to offer. Then walked away because they decided they did not like it..

The people in Hebrews 6 did that, and decided they liked the tast of the law better,, So they walked away from God (the church)

and people want to think these people were ever saved?

Great job mailmandan!...to add to your excellent grace-based exhortation..here is one about the "tasting " part and Hebrews 6..

There is a difference between tasting and drinking......Jesus knew of this concept too..

Matthew 27:34 (KJV)
[SUP]34 [/SUP] They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when
he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

Matthew 26:27-28 (NASB)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you;

[SUP]28 [/SUP]
for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.

John 7:37-38 (KJV)
[SUP]37 [/SUP] In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and
drink.

[SUP]38 [/SUP] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

John 4:14 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a
well of water springing up to eternal life."

Notice that 1 Corinthians 12:13 says drink into one Spirit, not taste into one Spirit

I wonder if God wanted the woman of the well to just taste the water he could offer her, Or drink it in order to get eternal life he was offering

I am sure it breaks gods too!
I agree, scruffily dressed Christians does break God's heart.
There is a scruffy epidemic going around God's people, and the worst are some of those who are Ministering in the way preaching/teaching or worship band members. These people have no respect for God, their Ministry or the people they minister to. They are an offence to God and a shame to Christianity., The JWS and Mormons put us to shame, as they dress smart.
