We know it's alive and well everywhere else. Including the Church. We'd have to be naive to think not. This is where so many "Christians" fall short. We talk about "Once saved ..always saved" ..and discuss the LGBT lifestyle frequently . What about "Once a racist always a racist"?? or "Racist Christian comes out". Or "Should racists hold the same jobs as everyone else?" Or "Should Christians struggling with racism be ineligible for marriage?" But if we can not truly love regardless of race then a lot of us need to seriously ask ourselves "Is daily repentance necessary? " and "Why so fake?". Frankly I like what it says in Acts 10:34-35.."Then Peter opened his mouth and said "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality."35.."But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him". And there's that word "works"again. All comments welcomed. Thanks.

I'll start with this comment. .last month our choir was invited to sing at a tent revival. We were seated in the back waiting for the Preacher to introduce us and when we were called..One of the white members of that church organization yelled out "If you take a bull whip to them ..they'd sing". Well it was a moment that I won't go into detail about. How I felt??Mad as heck!!And ready to scrap!! But of course this wasn't the first time . One white preacher said he felt that non whites were inferior because of Noah's curse on Ham...well that curse obviously ended. . My church is a mixture of races..but some of the African American members have shown such racism in the past that white membership has fallen off. It's like nobody believes what it says in Revelations 7:9-10..

Revelations 7 :9-10. "After these things I looked and behold a great multitude which no one could number ,of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the lamb, clothed with white robes, with Palm branches in their hands,"verse..10.."and crying out with a loud voice saying,.."Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!"

The answer to racism:

"And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." (Matthew 3:9)

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

By the way, calling LGBT lifestyle sinful is not racism, as some have tried to compare LGBT pride to the black civil rights movement. Many in our governments are truly confused on this issue, as they cannot rightly discern the outsides from the insides, and concerning the difference between outward appearances and spiritual matters of the heart.

I know calling that lifestyle sinful isn't the same as racism I didn't mean to imply that. I'm sorry..if I did. Yes..some have tried to compare them to the civil rights movement as far as the question of equal rights goes. But it's different. Scripture condemns homosexuality..I haven't yet read where race determines Salvation.

Sorry, I wasn't implying that you did, just making a point. And yes, the Lord does not judge by outward appearances, but looks upon the heart. But it is also true, that the words a man speaks is the overflow of the heart. So sometimes we can get a glimpse into a mans heart by the words that he speaks. Peace :)

Wouldnt Mariam Aaron be considered a modern day racist?

Numbers 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

I think there is some racism in all of us. There is more in some people than others, no doubt, but as sinful prideful people, we all have the capacity to be racist....and it is easy to move in that direction, even a little, if we let ourselves go there.

Numbers 12:1-15.Yes I believe they could be called racist. Because they spoke against Moses because of his Ethiopian wife. Also it's my opinion that they may have been jealous of Moses's..leadership. which brings me to another point..I believe that most of the arguments about "white" or "black" privilege could be based somewhat in jealousy. That one race is getting more than the other.

Or that one race doesn't want to share all the best things. I had a white friend that told me that she'd always have the best and be first and when I asked what she meant..she silently pointed to her white skin. Enough said.

I would not be calling that person a friend. The first shall be last, you could have reminded her. Not to mention her shallow materialistic bent. Who needs people like that in their life?

Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nation's,baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"..verse 20.."teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always ,even to the end of the age." That sounds like all people regardless of race has the right to salvation. I've heard some negative things about races and Salvation..like which one should have authority in churches. Who should lead..e.t.c.

Racism is wrong. Period.

It is a known, studied, sociological phenomenon that "groups" tend to reject/fear/not like/persecute anyone outside their "group".... wherever that boundary is established. Whether by race, school attended, church denomination, culture, nationality, neighborhood.... it's called ethnocentrism.

It's "normal", and is expected to occur. Like the fabled "white wolf"... outcast because of being different.

However, Jesus calls us to look beyond boundaries and lines... we are all brothers, equally loved and important to God, as we should be to each other.

Sometimes it's difficult to overcome the natural man tendencies, but we are called to do that.

Church2u2 Or "[B said:
Should Christians struggling with racism be ineligible for marriage?[/B]"
Good point! Racism is ignorance and also blasfemy against the Creator. Racism is worse than same sex marriage. Some people struggle with this sin, while others are even proud of being racists. My mom was very racist, but God cleaned her heart before death.

I think if it really were a big issue with Christians, as you imply, then there would be more about it in the bible ... alas it is hardly and indirectly barely touched on. God basically just says be impartial...

Just for the sake of argument I'll say that I'm a law abiding racist. And?

Well my grandfather was a racist..and the man walked around spewing hate everyday then was the first person at church every Sunday morning..you know because he was one of the deacons. I have no idea if he repented and accepted Christ before his passing. Then there was the young mixed couple who were members at my church..Well they broke up because he called her the "N" word one day during a heated argument. Well that's one example that puzzles me..why marry outside your race if you are a "down low" secret racist???
