God wants us to trust him. If we worry we're not walking in faith. Jesus has always been Jesus so you don't really know what you're talking about. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The New Testament was written in Greek. The apostle Paul was Jewish, but he spoke Hebrew and Greek. A lot of the Gentiles spoke Greek. Greek was the main language for non-Jewish people. Let's see what the Bible says about salvation. John14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John17:3 And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. John11:25-26 Jesus said to her,"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? Romans6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans10:13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.God answers prayer. Sometimes right away, and sometimes he makes us wait. I'm 41 and I got saved when I was 12. It hasn't been easy, but I love being a Christian! My faith in God is the only thing that has kept me from losing my mind. I've been thru hell, but I'm very thankful for his help. When I felt weak and wanted to give up he gave me strength to keep going. When women broke my heart, and I cried every night God dried my tears and healed my broken heart. When it seemed like nobody cared God told me to trust him because better days were coming. We serve a God that loves us very much. Even when we sin, he still loves us. The power of the Holy Ghost helps us to obey God's commands. God never told us to be perfect. He told us to be holy. Holiness is God's standard. Deutoronomy 6:4-5 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Verse 7 talks about the responsibility of parents teaching their children about God. To God be the glory. All these scriptures came from New King James and King James Version. May these scriptures inspire you to be bold about your faith in God, and to help you to become a strong mature christian. Preacha24-7

Where do you got that inf.
Hebrew roots movement....God knows His children and their hearts, no matter what name or how they pronounce his name. The Messiah died on the cross for our sins. That is the important thing, but some people want to enslave people to the old Covenant laws and like making up other man-made rules to be used to condemn God's children.

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

God reconciled mankind to Himself in the person of Jesus Christ,God and man,in harmony, and all who receive the Spirit will be in harmony with God,as the man Christ Jesus, for only a sinless man can reconcile mankind to God.No man is sinless so God manifest Himself in flesh, and laid down His life for the saints, and purchased the Church with His own blood.

That is what the world, the other religions,do not understand in their trying to please a higher power(Isaiah 41:21-29),but do not realize that God hates sin(Romans 3:23;Isaiah chapter 59),and them acknowledging other higher powers, which God said,is there a God beside Me,yea, there is no God,I know not any(Isaiah 44:8),and before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me.I,even I,am the LORD,and beside Me there is no Savior(Isaiah 43:9-11).

That is why Paul was addressing the Gentiles, and telling them that they are not saved by any works they do to please God,in their false religions, but they are only right with God by confessing Christ, which is a gift of God,and they do not need to do works of the flesh thinking it gives them favor.

I know I will get jumped (again) for bringing this up, but names are important.
just keep in mind, up until about 1600ad, the Messiah was never called "jesus".
Yep,that's kinda way out In left field brother,GOD is a SPIRIT and must be worshiped that way and In TRUTH, your motive Is what GOD cares about.Keep pressing toward the mark brother. :)

not out in left field at all. Names are very important in Scripture. Names mean things! When the text says, "no other name given"... it sounds kinda important. We are just so arrogant here, we think everything in English is the correct way.

We are pressing toward the mark.
Carry on.

find that out pls. it takes only little research!
I have did the research, and I have discovered the Hebrew translations.
I have never found anywhere that says "jesus" translates into "YAHWEH Saves".
I think I understand your point, however.

We can leave it there if you like.

All the languages of the earth where given to the nations by God and the English language never came to it's modern form until later.. The whole teaching that people must speak Hebrew and say the Hebrew name of God before God can do anything for them is simply madness.. As if God is someone bound and cannot do anything unless humans say the right words in the correct language.. That's witchcraft...

Isaiah 28: KJV
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

Jesus is our High Priest, able to save us completely because He lives forever to intercede on our behalf. Such a worry needs to find comfort in His faithfulness and love. His blood is sufficient for us, and we are secure in Him. Holy Spirit inside of us as a seal of redemption. Its smooth sailing. :)
Smooth sailing huh? What then does Jesus mean by carrying our cross daily? And if it's all on Jesus, and we have nothing to do, why did the ones who called Him Lord, who fully believed, and did many deeds in His name, have to depart from Him?

Let me ask you a peculiar question. VVhy did those who called Him Lord try to use their works as a reason for their salvation? They pointed to everything they did, but not to what He did. VVhere was their faith? VVhat believer in their right mind would even attempt to justify themselves before God when they know the Gospel, that is saved by grace through faith?

people are murdering the context of this verse.

He does not say, "depart from me you people who have placed your faith in your own works". no, no, no.
He says, "depart from me you workers of lawlessness".

workers of lawlessness = deeds that violate God's law.

The deeds people do, they do out of Love of Jesus and love for their fellow human beings.. Once they do it to secure their salvation they are lost because they have not trusted 100% in the atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ.. Do your works out of love not to gain or maintain salvation.. Jesus has already secured salvation for those that believe Him and trust in Him totally.

Trusting in the Messiah for salvation is correct.

Thinking the commandments of the King are abolished is incorrect.

That's the point... Millions of people simply cannot believe the Gospel that they are saved by grace through faith.. They simply cannot believe the His yoke is so lite... They think they have to take the weight.. The more weight they take the more justified they feel, It is the Way that seems right to them. But it is the way that leads to death..

workers of lawlessness = deeds that violate God's law.

Lawlessness to trying to establish your own righteousness by what "you do". Lawlessness is relying on what you do instead of Christ's finished work.

Romans 10:3-5 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

[SUP]5 [/SUP] For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.

No one is going to fall for this religion of law-keepers. We are not going to desert Christ to follow this religion and we will continue to oppose the distortion and perverting of the gospel of the grace of Christ.
