#1. The devil wants to steal your soul.
What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Your soul transcends place and time. When you die, it will show up before God. Salvation of your soul is very important.
"What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Mark 8:36-37).

Knowledge is Power and knowing the enemy and what he wants from u is part of the battle . No i didnt write this and a direct link is below

Well, he is out of luck.
My soul is in the hand of my Lord, and is secure for eternity.

A sinners soul is already the property of the devil.

The born again Christians soul belongs to God.

What the devil is after is the anointing.

He wants you neutral and powerless.

If he can do that, the rest is easy.

Bind the strong man THEN plunder him.

Those possessing or pursuing the anointing are first on the devils hit list

Sounds similiar to preaching (as one gaining the world) but losing oneself, or being a cast away in not taking heed to oneself (as is shown elsewhere)

Luke 9:25
For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world,
and lose himself, or be cast away?

1Cr 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:
lest that by any means, when I have preached to others
, I myself should be a castaway.

1 Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them:
for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Shows the devil going after the word here, some comparisons might show it better also

Mark 4:14
The sower soweth the word.

Mark 4:14
And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown;
but when they
have heard,

Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word
that was sown in their hearts.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal

As it shows the stealing his words here as well

Jerm 23:30
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets,
saith the LORD,
that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

The full verse

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

In Jerm 23:30 is in context of wheat and chaff speaking either his word or their own dreams

The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream;

and he
that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully.

What is the chaff

to
the wheat? saith the LORD.

Whereas here again (the word)

Mark 4:14
The sower soweth the word.

As there are various conditions,

Mark 4:14
And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard,

Satan cometh
immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Same principal (wash rinse and repeat) Ye are of your father the devil

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal

The lust of your father ye will do

Jerm 23:30
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets,
saith the LORD,
that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

Sort of like father like sons which abide not his word but swiping the LORD's word away from you.

I guess we could call them "word stealers"

Satan cannot steal your Soul because you are the Soul!

Its like saying Satan can steal you. The Soul that inhabits the body is you. When the body dies you are still you because you are the Soul. Its the body that is dead, not you.

Does anyone here even understand or study the Scriptures?

I am amazed on how ignorant most so called Christians are today! Do you even read the Scriptures before asking such dumb questions?

1 Corinthians 15:45
[SUP]45 [/SUP]So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.”

We are the Souls in the Body. The Body is just a shell used to house the Soul. To lose one's Soul is to literally lose oneself.

Why such hostility ?

Because we have way too many on here trying to deceive the very Elect with their lies. This chat room is to discuss the Truth in the Scriptures, not fairy tales.

We need to understand when God talks about the Soul He is talking about us, not some left over part of a body. Its not the body that we are who we are, its the Soul in the body that is who we are.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
John 10:28*-‬30

That should put to rest the devil trying to steal your soul stuff..be confident our God is a strong God who keeps us!

you know, it's not even 'my' soul. if the enemy would like to try to get it from the One who owns it, he can try. :)

Satan was bound at The Cross.

He's not in any position to steal anything, from anyone...

He seemed a little busy after that

1 Ti 5:15 For some are already turned aside after Satan
.

1 Thes 2:18
Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

2 Cr 2:11
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

As the serpent stands before the woman in the beginning after receiving the word of God, he was right there trying to twist things around, wouldnt that be comparable with trying to steal his words away from her in a sense?
