hey my friends the little jew in me told me to start this thread :)

sometimes it seems that all christians believe that jesus is god in the flesh but thats not true.
jesus is son of god not god himself.

i give you one example: when jesus was hanging at the cross he said " my god my god why have you forsaken me" so he was praying to god when he was at the cross so he cant be god.

you guys always say jesus is in heaven sitting next to the father so is jesus the father?

i dont want to hurt feelings but you have to understand that. Its important for his second coming.

when he comes and you think hes god you get too confused.

I'm supposing that you understand just Who "I AM" is.

John 8:
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins;
for if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.

Let me be clear ... there is NO "he" after "I AM" in the original Greek.

If you have any questions about specific verses re: the Trinity,
I can easily answer them for you.

I agree that Jesus isnt God the father. He is the son of God. BUT through his position that the father put him in, he is God in the flesh. He said that whoever wants to know the father, should look at him the son. he is the mirror of God for us on earth. He sits to the right of the father in heaven.

Is the Holy Spirit God? Yes, an aspect of God. Part of the whole that we call God.

Same with the Lord Jesus Christ. An aspect of God. Part of the whole that we call God.

No one can really separate the aspects of God and say that's not God, God is something else. Its confusing to our understanding to think of God as three individual aspects that make up One God, but I think that's as close as we can get to understanding.

That throws some people off when the Bible says that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, for they think if God is an omnipresent Spirit, then how can a bodily manifestation be God.

Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, which means God manifest all His attributes to the man Christ Jesus, and the Spirit in Christ is still connected to the omnipresent Spirit of God,for God cannot be separated.

He is a bodily manifestation of God,like God appeared to Abraham twice in bodily form.

He is not all of God's Spirit, but He is conceived of the Spirit, and the man Christ Jesus has the fulness of God's attributes, which the Bible says God is in all,and through all.Flesh robed around deity, but that deity flows through that flesh.

In the Old Testament the Bible says the Son shall be called the mighty God,and the everlasting Father, and when the Son comes He will have no beginning according to His deity.

The New Testament says that Jesus dwells in the light, whom no man can approach, and no man can see Jesus, and no man will ever see Jesus, because Jesus is God,an invisble Spirit, that showed a visible manifestation of Himself.

in the apostel letter stephanus says: " i have seen the son of men sitting next to the father".

and i also dont think that jesus likes it when people call him god. i mean jesus is the realest jew ever (ultra monotheist).
im also an ultra monotheist and i would not like it also when people call me god. i would appreciate it if my wife calls me god in the bedroom but beeing worshipped as god by 2 billion christians would be unbearable for me because i know that the lord JHWH could crush me at any time. and i think jesus thinks the same way. so when he comes the second time please dont call him god. call him RABUNI

john 1: 1 & 14

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

as long as we say that each of the persons in themselves is fully God. Inexplicable, yes...

Colossians 2:9 KJVS

Jesus is the living Word of God, and the Word became flesh. He is eternal. He is the creator of the universe, the author and finisher of our faith, the great architect, the giver of life, in Whom all things live and move.

Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He.Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”

John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM [He], you will die in your sins.”

John 8:58- Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, I and My Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

Revelation 1:5-6; Revelation 5:8-9 - (Jesus' blood purchased us)

Philippians 2:5-7 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men.

Colossians 2:9 - For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily

1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Hebrews 1:8-9 - But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and theLast.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.”

Amen.”

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 62:2
He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.

Psalm 89:26
"He will cry to Me, 'You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.'

Isaiah 17:10
For you have forgotten the God of your salvation And have not remembered the rock of your refuge. Therefore you plant delightful plants And set them with vine slips of a strange god.

Isaiah 8:14
"Then He shall become a sanctuary; But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Isaiah 28:16
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.

Psalm 118:22
The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner stone.

Matthew 21:42
Jesus said to them, "Did you never read in the Scriptures, 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone; THIS CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD, AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES'?

Mark 12:10

"Have you not even read this Scripture: 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone;

Luke 20:17
But Jesus looked at them and said, "What then is this that is written: 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone'?

Acts 4:11
"He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone.

1 Peter 2:6-7
For this is contained in Scripture: "BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, "THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,"

Matthew 21:44
"And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust."

Luke 20:18
"Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust."

Romans 9:32-33
Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone, just as it is written, "BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

1 Peter 2:4-8
And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture: "BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

Perhaps you need to stop worrying about nomenclatures and concern yourself with what scripture alone has to say about Jesus.

Jesus knew scripture better than anyone, and even when dying on the cross He used scripture. For the "why have you forsaken me", read psalms 22 to understand what I mean. The very first sentence will help you understand better.

For Him being God in the flesh, He claimed He would judge the world, He called Himself the first and the last, He knew the hearts of men, and in the OT, the Messiah was said to be God in the flesh, who would be worshiped forever by every nation, ruling over all. In fact, read Daniel 7 to see why Jesus called Himself the "Son of Man". It is a divine title for the one who would come from the presence of God, who would reign from Israel over the entire world, and every nation and tongue would worship Him.

He is a part of God, He is God, and through being born from the womb of Mary into the flesh of a man, He became Gods Son.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

Jesus said, "I and the Father are one."

But only the Holy Spirit of God can convince you of that fact. Seek and you shall find :)
