Matthew 11:16 & 17

"To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:

"'We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.'
Prov 8:5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Although I dont know if he wants us to post and he post against ours or us even off the other, I dont think it matters like playing ping pong! Feels more like chess, what a great idea for a thread actually (thanks Thomas!)

There seems THAT too, or what I would have thought more along the lines of pitting the scriptures as in that kind of match, versus delivering the word and serving to it that which agrees more perfectly, which has more of the feeling of chess to boxing. Your version is throwing my balance off
I have to run it thru mine (and hear the wording to pick up its complimentary verse there) that is weird but I find its true for me when you are used to a specific version.

Anyway, I dont say too much and tick Th0mas off (he is the quiet type)

1 Corinthians 13:10

but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
James 3: 2

2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

One verse usually brings to remembrance another verse ... I actually have labelled it "connecting the dots" as in the Holy Spirit connects the dots to bring us to understanding.

28 Proverbs 15:28

The heart of the righteous weighs its answers,

but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.

:smoke: as it is written
:read:
Proverbs 30:2
Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
4*Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? who has gathered the wind in his fists? who has bound the waters in a garment? who has established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if you can tell?
5*Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6*Add you not unto his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

:ty:

godbless us all always
