Hello,

You may look at all the words below and think of what knowledge may be gained after thinking about them all. Will you add a verse or verses which you think are good for judging how to answer people ?

"Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
or you yourself will be just like him."

"Answer a fool according to his folly,
or he will be wise in his own eyes."

Proverbs 26: 4 and 5.

"When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom."

Proverbs 11: 2.

"Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult."

Part of 1 Peter 3: 9.

Matthew 7:2 King James Version (KJV)

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.

1 Corinthians 4:5 KJV

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

"Answer" a fool according to his folly,

Lest he be wise "in his own conceit".

"Seest thou" a man wise in "his own conceit"?

There is "more hope of" a fool than of him.

Let no man "deceive himself".

If any man among you "seemeth to" be wise in this world,

Let him "become" a fool,

That "he may" be wise.

"Answer not" a fool according to his folly,

"Lest thou" also be like unto him.

(I speak "as" a fool)

Would to God ye could bear "with me" a little in "my folly"

and indeed bear "with me"

For ye "suffer fools" gladly,

"Seeing ye" yourselves "are wise"

2 Corinthians 10:10 &11

For some say, "His letters are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing."

Such people should realize that what we are in our letters when we are absent, we will be in our actions when we are present.

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

Proverbs 14:10

Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.
Job 7:11 Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

Job 7:11 Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
A translation of Proverbs 16:32.

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.

Prov 14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Luke 22:26

But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.

Matthew 11:16 & 17

"To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:

"'We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.'
