1 .) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 .) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 .) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 .) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 .) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 .) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 .) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 .) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 .) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 .) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 .) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 .) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 .) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 .) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 .) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 .) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 .) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Thank God for the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit!

Yes. Thank GOD that the Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are the sons/daughters of GOD. (roman 8:16)

This is most likely how Romans 8:1 reads. The last clause appears to be an unoriginal repeat of the end of verse 4. Most biblical scholars agree.

Can you tell me how you strike out words on this website. Is it in advanced edit? Where would it be?

HeRoseFromTheDead...

If any man is IN CHRIST, he is already a new creation, born of HIS LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT.
The thing is we are to obey the deeds and dictates of THE SPIRIT whom HE has caused to live in us...and not the deeds and dictates of the flesh which war against the soul

GOD is able to convict, discipline and rebuke HIS CHILDREN...and does so...so that we will cast off the binds and the sin that so easily entangles us and press on for that upward call in CHRIST, taking hold of HIM who took hold of us...fighting the GOOD FIGHT of FAITH...

From faith ------------------------->to faith
From first -------------------------->to last.

What we began in is what we will end in...

Faith.
Directed in and on HIM in all things and in all seasons...

Do you know what the alternative would be if GOD, by HIS SPIRIT, didn't convict us and rebuke us and discipline us?

A seared conscience and the storing up of HIS Wrath to the day.

This is why Peter tells those who are suffering temptations and trials not to scorn their father's discipline...

Further, GOD launders, purifies, refines, (so that our faith more precious than gold though tried in the fire) will prove genuine and result in HIS PRAISE and GLORY.

It isn't a pleasant thing to be pruned...but in the end, it does produce the works of holy, perfect, unbiased, and impartial righteousness...directed in and on all men in all situations and circumstances because we have a LORD who purchased us at a dear price so that all that we do should be done so as to honor HIM...who is Sovereign over all things...so that all things that we come up against we should trust by faith that HE is working out all the good (even in what appears to be everything and anything but good) for those who love HIM and are called according to HIS PURPOSE...trusting that HE who began the good work in us will bring it to completion...

It is written, if HE does not discipline us, then we are illegitimate children...

Mortaility has to be swallowed up in immortality...
It isn't comfortable being disciplined and refined and purified and laundered.

But it is a necessary work.

Even Paul finally came to an end in himself, understanding that he could put no confidence in his flesh...that he left himself to the ONE who will judge...that though he was not conscious of any guilt, this did not make him innocent.

We are to do all things as being done for the Lord and walk by FAITH...not by sight.
Sometimes our flesh tells us that we aren't walking good enough...but we are to NOT let our left hand know what our right hand is doing, and just do what is right and righteous in a world that is far from right and righteous...

To be at peace with all men as much as it is in our ability to do so...everything in moderation...all things are permissible but not all things are beneficial...it is all food for the stomach and the stomach for the food.

But HE remains...and HE is OUR HOPE...and those who HOPE in HIM are receiving the goal of THEIR FAITH...
Even their salvation...

It is TRULY CHRIST in us who is OUR HOPE of glory.
Not that we are waiting so that we can exalt and lift ourselves up thinking ourselves apart from HIM...glorious

NEVER!

But to be able to lie down the sheep with the wolf...to be able to never mourn, never cry...is our HOPE...this is the treasure that should be in the heart of all those who claim to belong to HIM, when HE comes, to be gazed upon by those who have longed for and loved HIS COMING!

Hebrews 7:11-16
[SUP]11 [/SUP]If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

Another contrast and explanation of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus and the law of sin and death.

Sometimes we want to do what we want to do...but we can't.
We have to learn to discipline our flesh.

And this "disciplining" our flesh is NOT an active work.

It is a PASSIVE WORK
As in be still and KNOW THAT HE IS GOD...in all seasons!

And that is what I have learned in my walk with CHRIST...
HE is sufficient.
And it is sufficient to trust in HIM in all seasons...and wait...

HE is doing HIS WORK...we may not understand what it is or why it is...but HE does...

That's how the false grace teachers will put it. They will miss out the, "Who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".
I have also seen a false grace teacher miss out, "Among all them which are sanctified", Acts 20: 32.

As they say walking after the flesh and being sanctified, are works, being legalistic and putting yourself back under the law.

The Greek meaning form "A new creature", is, "Let him become a new creature", it's a renewing that we have to let God do in us, see Rom 6: 4. Rom 12: 2.

Seems to me this passage is simply pointing out the differences between those who have God's Spirit and those who don't.
It's not so much a lesson on how to be holy as it describes the advantages of having His Spirit.

The Greek meaning form "A new creature", is, "Let him become a new creature", it's a renewing that we have to let God do in us, see Rom 6: 4. Rom 12: 2.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The Greek usage here concerning the "new creation/creature" when it says "all things are become new" - this is in the perfect active tense in Greek.

Perfect tense is something that happened in the past that is in a completed state and it's effects are in the present continuously.

It's a done deal that we are new creations in our inner man and now we are learning what happened to us when we received Christ - having our minds renewed to the truth of the new creation in Christ.

It's our part by trusting in the Holy Spirit to reveal the things of Jesus to us = our part is to "behold"...look, perceive and see what has happened.

2 Cor 3:17-18 fits in well here too. Beholding the glory ( his good opinion of Himself and us ) of the Lord as we look at Him in a mirror.

Ah...either baptized into CHRIST or not...either reborn of HIS LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT...or not.
The ONE who began the good work in us will bring it to completion...HE is the AUTHOR and the FINISHER and the OVERSEER of OUR SOUL

Either enter in by way of THE DOOR...or still outside the DOOR and no amount of "work" can make one enter in by THE DOOR unless HE the DOOR opens THE DOOR...

What is it you want a man to do?

Make himself born again?
How can he do that.
And how can a man begin on the path midpoint apart from entering in by way of THE DOOR?

It is a midpoint patch me up self-directed path unto "sanctification"? Which is simply "another way"
With men it is impossible...but only through GOD...

And no man, no matter how hard he works, can go back and wipe fully the slate of his own soul clean...but GOD...

Only GOD can wash and make clean what apart from HIM washing and making clean is uclean...

one must be born again...of HIS LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT...a new creation IN CHRIST...reborn of the IMPERISHABLE SEED of CHRIST

That must be first.
which is why BAPTISM is not simply water baptism...
But, as GRACE mentioned, those who hear the GOSPEL and believe ARE baptized by A BAPTISM which comes from GOD...having been baptized into CHRIST"S DEATH, risen, covered over in HIS COVERING, a NEW CREATION, having passed through the Lord's sabbath day of rest, a NEW/EIGHTH DAY CIRCUMCISED CREATION/REBORN and MARKED as belonging to GOD by HIS SPIRIT...IN CHRIST...who as the BRIDEGROOM will present back to HIS FATHER, HIS BODY/HIS BRIDE/HIS CHURCH.

There is no input from a man in making a man sanctified apart from the ONE who sanctified HIMSELF for us.

Apart from HIM...one can't do anything...
And the work of the ONE who has been called into CHRIST is to REMAIN IN HIM and not "Go out".

I have read hyper grace believers say that faith is believing in the new creation, and obedience is to the new creation.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of people, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what can be known about God is evident among them, for God made [it] clear to them. For from the creation of the world, his invisible [attributes], both his eternal power and deity, are discerned clearly, being understood in the things created, so that they are without excuse.

For [although they] knew God, they did not honor [him] as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasoning, and their senseless hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God with the likeness of an image of mortal human beings and birds and quadrupeds and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to immorality, [that] their bodies would be dishonored among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God with a lie, and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed for eternity. Amen. Romans 1:18-25

I have shown you what the Greek says, and the scriptures to prove it, But you have to disagree with the Bible and the Biblical Greek, because you know they prove you wrong.

All you have to do, Is look at some Christians, to know that they aren't a new creature yet, And we know that not all old things have passed away yet.
One lady said to me, "My testimony is a fag and a pint in a pub".
Where is the new creature in her??, Where is the "Coming out from among them"??.

We have to let God do a work in us.
