One of the biggest reasons people still struggle with sin is because they don't believe they are a new creation. They are taught that they are somehow sinners and saints, which is not true. The old stuff is GONE.

You do not have a sin nature. This is a lie. It was crucified with Christ.

Romans 6:6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

People read this Scripture and somehow they don't believe it, but I'm here to tell you it is true. Your body of sin was brought to nothing. And you are no longer enslaved to sin.

You were reborn in Christ. Yes this is your spirit and His Spirit joined together. Would you ever tell Christ His Holy Temple is somehow unholy? No? But you do every single day you don't believe you were made holy!

Did you realize that Holy Spirit is likened to a Dove? Doves don't land on dead things. That's why Noah's raven didn't return, but the dove did, because she had nowhere to rest her feet.

The Dove rested His feet on YOU! You are His Holy Temple! Why? Because all the sin that was upon you and joined with you, was crucified, you are now dead to sin. And alive to righteousness.

Why is it important I say this? Because you will live out of the nature you believe you are joined with.

If you agree with God and His promises, you will be a partaker in the divine nature, and if you don't you will struggle to live out of your new nature in Christ. You will try to get to the things of God instead of simply receiving and resting in them.

2 Peter 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

You live from righteousness.
You live from peace.
You live from joy.
You live from the Kingdom of God.
You live from unity with His Spirit.

If you have any questions about the reality of you being a new creation, feel free to post them in this thread. When you understand the real gospel. You will never be the same, because you truly are a new man. Now let's put him on.

Eph 4:[SUP]22 [/SUP]to put off your old self,[SUP][a][/SUP] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, [SUP]23 [/SUP]and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, [SUP]24 [/SUP]and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

You're new self is created after the likeness of God in TRUE righteousness and holiness.

That means you're not trying to be righteous. If you are, you're still in the old man. Which is dead.

You're not trying to be holy. You are holy, so you do holy things. Being holy is now your new nature in Christ. Not being holy was your old nature in sin. But now you're not in sin, you're in the Son.

You're right Christians do still mess up sometimes, we know this because Paul wrote continually to Christians telling them who they were in Christ. And he couldn't believe their behavior. But the key for us to walk in righteousness is to believe we have been made righteous. To the degree we believe in the promises of God is the degree we shall participate with the divine nature we have been joined with in Christ.

This thread isn't for people to be condemned, but so that they would be set free.

Christians sin much less when they actually believe they are no longer enslaved to sin. And are alive to righteousness.

The truth is ANYTHING done outside of faith is sin. So this thread is about people getting and staying in faith. Showing them the promises in Scripture so that they can actually receive and walk out what Scripture promises.

So if the just shall live by faith then how do you reconcile Eccl 7:20

Eccl 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright;
Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner. Prov 13:6

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

The truth is ANYTHING done outside of faith is sin.
Or is it that faith done outside of truth is sin?

So if all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, for if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:4:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Tim 2:5

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

However it is not to say that we don't sin and mess up sometimes
Big difference between messing up and sin.

You're teaching the same error that the gnostic heretics taught, which John had to refute in 1 John.

If we say that we do not have sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8

Hyper grace doesn't believe that it's possible to walk in righteousness with a consciousness of sin nature, and the concomitant imperative to overcome it. Thus their need for methods to dissociate from what is called sin-consciousness, which essentially means ignoring the voice of the conscience.

This is done by considering the flesh and the body to be separate and distinct. In other words, mental separation is made between the flesh and the body, which allows for the belief that the body is sinless. The sinful flesh, then, simply becomes an idea that is compartmentalized in the mind and discarded (ignored, denied) because it is the old man that was crucified and no longer exists. This process of denying the existence of sinful flesh and identifying only with the incorruptible spirit and sinless body is what hyper grace calls the renewing of the mind.

The Theological Dictionary of the New Testament has a good description of this mental dissociation process in which a person only identifies with what they want to be (their identity as the righteousness of GOD in Christ), and blots out any consciousness or idea contrary to it (their sin nature).

f. Gnosticism offers a radical solution to the conflict of conscience. It is true that instances are very sparse. But the basic dualistic solution involves a full separation between the two egos. The true I of the Gnostic is identical with the divine world of light, while the other I belongs to the chaotic world and is thus to be abandoned. In the final analysis, then, there is no bad conscience for the Gnostic. Naturally this opens the door not merely to asceticism but also to libertinism.

Paul talks about the two 'I's mentioned above in Romans 7-8, in which victory is found, not through denial of the sinful flesh's existence, but through not obeying it in grace through faith.

I guess this thread proves there are two main voices in the world

One, is God telling us we are redeemed and a new creation

And the other, is the devil, lying to us and telling us we are still sinners

You see, a sinner is someone who does not know Christ. A Christian may sin, but they are no longer a sinner...they are a new creature in Christ Jesus

Don't be confused. Simply believe what God tells us in His word and go from there. If you feel powerless, it is because you are indecisive. Choose to believe God.

Choose to believe God, today. If you are in Christ Jesus, you are no longer a sinner. You may sin, but if you confess your sin, God is faithful and just to forgive your sin.

Many confuse the "flesh" which is not eradicated at conversion for a "sin nature". The belief in dual natures is an unfortunate misconception furthered by the NIV's translation of sarx as sin nature, instead of as flesh. Something they have now corrected. We are not merely half-regenerated. We have one new nature created in Christ by which we have become, "partakers of the divine nature ".

Two natures: the first Adam out of the earth, the last Adam out of heaven.

Thus also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul”; the last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit. But the spiritual [is] not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man [is] from the earth, made of earth; the second man [is] from heaven. As the one [who is] made of earth, so also [are] those [who are] made of earth, and as the heavenly, so also [are] those [who are] heavenly. And just as we have borne the image of the [one who is] made of earth, we will also bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Corinthians 15:45-49

so, to you, does this scripture cancel out the fact that we become a new creation in Christ?

I'm just really not understanding what you are attempting to say here

why on earth would you even think that way? and gnosticism? what on earth! there is nothing gnostic going on here

seriously, where do you get this from?

nothing personal...I just find it alarming that you seem to choose to ignore so much scripture in favor of ..I seriously don't know what it is you are doing LOL!

Christians are not in Adam, we are in Christ, the last Adam.

We are a new creation in Christ 2 Cor 5. We have this treasure in earthen vessels that the glory might be of God. 2 Cor 4:7

We are not sinless because we still live in this body of flesh and this corruption must put on incorruption to enter heaven. 1 Cor 15:53. Part of being humble is to remember that we are righteous only in Christ and that we stand only in and by His strength. We are subject to temptation as long as we remain in this body of corruptible flesh. We still must die physically unless the Lord returns and raptures us into His presence.

Faith is how we wrestle with doubt.

Are you still not living in the body that you received from the first Adam? Of course you are. That is your nature.

I received 'this' body from my father and mother and God gave me a new heart

I have God DNA now

if that is being gnostic...which of course is utter nonsense, hysterical even,.....then God has a sense of humor (I mean He does, but you know)

This is the same dissociative identity process that the gnostic heretics practiced. Only identify with the good, ignore the bad. Basically word of faith, name-it-claim-it salvation.

uh oh...does God know?

cause I have His seal of approval. The Holy Spirit is INSIDE of me! Yeah! Just think of it...God's HOLY Spirit inside little ole me

I honestly do not know what you imagine concerning this hyper grace nonsense apparently spiced up with your interface of personal gnostic silliness, but one thing I do know

and that is this

Like Paul, I press on. I am always caught by God every time I fall. And that, is the measure of His grace.

It is endless and boundless. And you know what else? NOTHING CAN SEPARATE ME FROM HIS LOVE!!!!

God knows the devil tries and even sometimes through well meaning people but I guess you get what you pray for if it's God's will and since I want to be conformed to the image of His Son, I gotta take some bumps with the lumps

you have a good day now!

We are now new creations in Christ - created in righteousness and holiness.

Some feel the need to work for their own righteousness which is why they reject the new creation in Christ and can't see it.

To them the Christian life is all about obeying commandments of law and walking in their own good deeds that brings righteousness and salvation and they use the term "grace" sometimes because they can't get around Eph 2:8-9.

Paul says we live by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, the law of faith, the law of liberty in Christ and the law of love and the law of Christ - which is Jesus in us manifesting His life in and through us.

The things of the new birth in Christ - the new creation of the inner man of the heart - being born again is all "gnostic" to them.

We need to understand what happened when the old man died on the cross with Jesus and that we were raised up with Him to newness of life. The circumcision of the body of flesh and the new spirit of man in Christ is needed to understand the spiritual truths about the new creation in Christ.

Romans 2:29 (NASB)
[SUP]29 [/SUP] But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.

Colossians 2:11 (NASB)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] and in Him you were also circumcised with a
circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;

The Holy Spirit cut away the new spirit of man in Christ from the flesh. We need to renew our minds which is a part of the flesh in our brains - to the truth of what Christ has done for us.

Knowing these truths will free us from trying to create and maintain our own righteousness and holiness. Instead of trying to achieve these things in the flesh - we will walk by the Spirit and these desires of the flesh will not be fulfilled in order to do
"it's" lusts and wants.

I have no problem with hyper grace calling GOD's divine nature GOD DNA. What I do have a problem with is it's denial of Adam's nature that we all have until we die. That's what the gnostics did; they identified only with the spiritual nature and dissociated from a physical identity.
