I love how we can turn to Scripture to be assured of the truth of the Gospel.

Hebrews
1

1 .) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 .) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 .) Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 .) Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 .) For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 .) And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 .) And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 .) But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 .) Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 .) And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 .) They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 .) And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13 .) But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 .) Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Amen! I love the 3rd verse where it says that Jesus is the exact representation of the nature Father.

Hebrews 1:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

So, if we want to see how God would act - then we look to Jesus in His earthly ministry.

If we want to see what God's will is for people - look to Jesus in this earthly ministry.

If we want to see how God disciplines His children - look to see how Jesus disciplined His disciples.

Whatever understanding we get of God from our perception in the OT needs to be filtered through Jesus now that God has in these last days spoken to us in Him. God never changes His character - just our perception of Him as we get to know His true nature as revealed in Jesus.

Jesus Christ, God the Son reveals the true Father's heart for us. Great OP! Thanks.

Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if if thou canst tell?

There are some people called the Branhamites, followers of William Branham's doctrine that the son spoken of here is Israel and does not refer to Christ.

Exo 4:22
And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

The Father, the Son and teh Holy Spirit...........One............One God.

An illustration of how this might work, albeit not perfect, is in the use of a mirror.

God in heaven and the universe as we know it a mirror.

Sending His Son into the mirror He would be a reflection of the the Father.

Mankind, while yet within the mirror, has the choice to come into the Light that is god, the Holy Spirit, by means of His sSon?s sacrifice on the Cross and His Light, the Holy Spirit.

When it is time for all who have come to the light that lights insice and o9utside the mirror (heaven and earth), the mirror will be destroyed, and nothing will remain except what has come to and remained in the Light, the Holy Spirit.

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One. This is yet a mystery even to the most studied, only to be revealed come the kingdom.

Of course this is not a perfect illustration, nothing cold be when attempting to describe perfection, but it is a feeble and good illustrative attempt to show just one manner in which the Three are One........ Our Father will fill us all in on His mysteries come His great and glorious Day. Come Jesus, come soon, amen.

Deu 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Sometimes we can't understand everything because God hasn't revealed it to us. Make sure you don't try to understand the things that don't belong unto us.

How, who, what, where, God is? I think He has revealed enough, to keep me occupied for this life time.

Exo 4:22

yes im aware of that doctrine and as I will not say its wrong, please keep in mind that Israel even at the time they were brought forth from Egypt, our Messiah was in the loins of the tribe of Judah even at that time, as his future advent would later reveal, the problem with that doctrine is, that it stops with Israel, not realizing the reason for Israel's existence was to not only because they were the peoples through which our Savior would come, but also to bring his message of salvation and redemption to this world.

I don't find the expression GOD the son in the bible, but I do find the son of GOD. IMO saying GOD the son is like saying Man the son, which is nonsensical. I think that the expression GOD the father, which does appear in the bible, should be written GOD, the father.

Perhaps thats why Jesus said No one comes to the father but through me..Pray to the father.. Father let this cup pass me by...All was handed over to me by the father...

Here is the "Son" being born and they called Him God. Calling Jesus - God is biblical and accurate as He is God. Part of the Trinity which is One.

Matthew 1:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] "BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL," which translated means, "GOD WITH US."

..who told you that?..check out the threads on this and it will be readily apparent that there is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and they are the Trinity ( for lack of a better word )...there are different manifestations of the Holy Spirit .....How many "Gods" are there?

Jesus called GOD, father. Even so he never denied his own divinity.

No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, the one who is in the bosom of the Father—that one has revealed him. John 1:18

Revelation 5:6 - And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
....God is more than just the ''trinity'' God the father said we shall have NONE beside him. Jesus taught us to look at the father through him. Not to worship him as God. Theres only one God and thats the father.

No, Jesus called the Father, God. There is one God the Father, one God the Son, and one God the Holy Spirit. Who together comprise the One True God.

Revelation of John 7:9
After these things I saw a large crowd from every nation, tribe, people, and language. No one was able to count how many people there were. They were standing in front of the throne and the lamb. They were wearing white robes, holding palm branches in their hands,
10*and crying out in a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the lamb!"
11*All the angels stood around the throne with the leaders and the four living creatures. They bowed in front of the throne with their faces touching the ground, worshiped God,
12*and said, "Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power, and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen!"
