So I found something interesting preached by my Pastor a few days ago. He had talked about how often times in the Bible the term love is described as "charity." But also one translation in around the 50's had it so that the term love as "calvary love." So like that one verse where it talks about add to your yourself virtue, self control, ect. And then like calvary love!

So to have the kind of drop everything and take a bullet for a person love.

I'm not very eloquent or well studied, but I just thought that was amazing.

Sounds like agape, which is God's love. :)

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8)

Sacrificial love. That does not take one's own feelings into consideration. That will give up one's rights. That will give precedence to the other person's needs.
