Not in a family. Parents should not submit themselves to children, for example. Everybody has his place and role.

[h=2]Wives love your husbands, husbands submit to your wives.

Rare it is for someone to so blatantly and obviously twist the scriptures like that ...

What if I say Love your neighbor with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love God as yourself?

Would that statement be biblicaly correct?[/h]

I have never thought myself better than anyone else nor have I ever desired to be above or in authority of others as a believer and the reason for this is because God enriched me with his love he taught me what his love is what it does to a person and I have seen how his love molds a persons heart their ways of seeing and their ways of thinking.

I make it a point that it will always be others before myself many of my non Christian friends see it as weakness they call me weak all the time because even if it hurts I am always putting others first although they would rephrase it as letting people walk all over me. but this is what Love does to people by instinct whether it's a wife and husband a friend or family a Christian or the most evil of souls we lower ourselves we serve we love when no one else would we see a precious treasure and a life worth suffering greatly and intensely for even dying for when others see a loss cause and want the death sentence.
it isn't authority or being male or female that calls us to submit it's Love

The spirit of rebellion's pretty evident in that article. If you don't like the idea of the man ruling the family, don't get married.

All in all there is a mutualness..

Ephesians 5:21-25 KJVS
[21] Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. [22] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. [24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. [25] Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

What I do know is that wives submit to your husbands is written to wives, and husbands love your wives is written to husbands. Not for wives to use against their husbands, or for husbands to use against their wives.

She is not instructed to lead, he is..
Not to say that he'll never consider her. If he loves her, he will at some points.. But if what he's getting is from the HS, then he'd be like Adam to follow her instead...

Husband love your wife, wife submit.. The 2 things each need most.. Women want to feel loved and men want to feel supported..

The fact that you see it as something "against women" shows you dont agree with that role.

These verses show how a married couple should interact. Husbands are supposed to love their wife, because the wife will respond to that love with love. Just like the Lord loves us and we respond back to him with love. The wife submits to their husband because if he loves her he will always be looking out for her best interest. Also just like when we submit our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ He is always looking out for our best interest. Which may not always be what WE want (in the flesh), but it is always for the bettering of the body.

God Bless,

And this is why it is SO IMPORTANT to marry wisely. "Do not be yoked unevenly" ... if you marry a husband who despises God, or even simply disregards God, then how, in all good conscience, will you be willing to submit to him when he leads against God's will?

I didn't read the article because I believe that my understanding is correct in a biblical and spiritual sense. Just because a wife is instructed to submit to her husband does not mean that she is now a slave to serve at a moment's notice or become a doormat. Husbands are to love their wives and this is what I try to show to my wife everyday. I'm not her boss but rather her best friend.

Karen Evans is my soul mate. We dated for four years and have been married more than forty years. We found the marriage of our dreams, but it almost ended in divorce. The reason it has succeeded is because God intervened and healed us—and because we began following His plan for marriage.
We put in the hard work that led to us becoming best friends and soul mates. But our story doesn't fit the typical romantic idea about finding and marrying the person of your dreams. That's because much of what our culture believes about soul mates is based on false expectations that set couples up for failure.
There are three dangerous soul mate myths:
The first is that my soul mate will be just like me. The online dating world tells us it's possible to instantly connect with a person because we match up in category after category.

I know a lot of people who have found success with online dating, but the truth is that no two people are perfectly compatible. Compatibility is based on character and values—not on sameness. Your perfect soul mate will be someone very different from you.
Often, it's only after marrying someone that we find out how very different they are. Assuming you and your spouse will be a perfect match will break your heart.
The second myth is that marrying my soul mate means a problem-free marriage. This causes huge disappointment. Many people think marrying their soul mate brings day after day of positive feelings in marriage.
But every couple will face issues they need to work through. Every couple will experience negative feelings toward each other. Marrying a believer and building a foundation of good communication can minimize these problems, but doesn't prevent them.
The devil wants nothing more than for you to experience negative feelings one day and think, "I married the wrong person." Here's the truth: Soul mates are not born. They are made in the trenches of life. The greatest marriages are those where two committed believers roll up their sleeves and fight hard for their relationship.
The third myth is that my soul mate will always make me happy. No one person can meet all of your needs or always make you happy. The basis of happiness is God. Only He can meet our deepest needs.
Giving an individual the responsibility for your happiness sets that person up for failure. This lie brings heartache into your life and your marriage.
Don't believe these myths. Instead, do the things that create a soul mate. Make choices that build a bond between you and your spouse. Empathize with each other by attempting to understand them. Walk in their shoes.
Be generous with each other by giving kindness and attention. Invest in each other. Listen. Talk. And make your marriage a priority. Spend time together and put each other first. Marriage only works when it is in first place.
Our culture tells a number of lies about soul mates. Don't believe those myths. Instead, believe the truth: Your soul mate is someone who puts you first, gives to you, and cares about you. Are you working hard to become your spouse's soul mate?
Blessings,

Hehehe ... I am so glad that I have been made a eununch for Christ's sake (no not literally) ... Jesus is my husband and the one I submit to. And He is loving, reasonable and always makes good decisions. :)

Thank you God!

Clearly this lady wants the bible to read as she intends and cannot accept the intention for which those passages was written.

I think because of women like this ..Paul put restrictions upon women teaching.
