:read:
Kawikaan: 15. 3. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

so as it is written
:read:
Mga Taga-Efeso: 6. 6. Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7. With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8. Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

... . and
:read: (as it is written)
Awit: 15. 2. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
3. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

I’ve always thought this is about the fact that when you obey the Lord’s commandments, you have no problem “looking people square in the eyes.” In other words, we should have eye contact with people.

there is another type of eye that the scriptures speak of in some cultures it's known as the third eye to other it's called the spiritual eye there also one known as the eyes of the heart meaning that what your heart desires the most is what your eyes heart mind and soul are locked upon and this is a type of sight that we look through everyday without realizing it even faith is a type of seeing. as for the eyes this scripture is speaking of I am not entirely sure but I would assume it's speaking of the eyes of the heart

REV 19: 12

12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns.

The lampstand (our spirit) should never go out ...

... if the eyes are dark how great is that darkness.

Consider also the 10 virgins and the oil.

Mat 6:21
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Mat 6:22
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
the reason our Savior spoke these two verses in the order he did is because if the heart is right with the Eternal One then the eye will be single, meaning single purpose, single mindedness, (James 1:8) a person who has surrendered all to Him, is single in heart, mind and spirit because the life and thoughts of each believer who does this is guided and empowered be restored into His likeness and image, the character is transformed from the fallen state to a state of life and peace.

1 Thessalonians 5:

19 Do not put out the Spirit's fire;
20 do not treat prophecies with contempt.
21 Test everything. Hold on to the good.

The good man, then, alone sees; in reference to whom the ancients also called the prophets, seers. But he who advanced further outwards, not only seeing, but seeing God, was called Israel; the meaning of which name is, "seeing God." But others, even if they ever do open their eyes, still bend them down towards the earth, pursuing only earthly things, and being bred up among material objects; for the one raises his eyes to the sky, beholding the manna, the divine word, the heavenly, incorruptible food of the soul, which is food of contemplation: but the others fix the eye on garlic and onions, food which causes pain to the eyes, and troubles the sight, and makes men wink, and on other unsavoury food, of leeks, and dead fish, the appropriate provender of Egypt. (80) "For," says the scripture, "we remembered the fish which we ate in Egypt without payment, and the gourds, and the cucumbers, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; but now our soul is dry and our eyes behold nothing but Manna."

Part of Revelation 2:17

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna.

Have you ever read four books of 'On Christian Doctrine' by St. Augustine of Hippo ?

You may look below at part of 'On Christian Doctrine' at part of "Chap. 12. A diversity of interpretations is useful. Errors arising from ambiguous words"

"And very often a translator, to whom the meaning is not well known, is deceived by an ambiguity in the original language, and puts upon the passage a construction that is wholly alien to the sense of the writer. As for example, some texts read: "Their feet are sharp to shed blood;" for the word "oxus" among the Greeks means both sharp and swift. And so he saw the true meaning who translated: "Their feet are swift to shed blood." The other, taking the wrong sense of an ambiguous word, fell into error. Now translations such as this are not obscure, but false; and there is a wide difference between the two things."

On Christian Doctrine, in Four Books - Christian Classics Ethereal Library

Ephesians 3:

10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Maybe this question is only appropriate for people with one eye...

using the term 'the eye' in this verse is a variation on a figurative device called 'synecdoche'...

synecdoche means using a part of something...often the most significant or active part...to reference the whole...

an example would be saying to someone 'lend me a hand'...probably you are expecting them to involve quite a bit more than just one hand in assisting you with whatever you are doing...

a scripture example is when jesus taught his disciples to pray for 'our daily bread'...he did not mean that bread was the only thing you should be eating...

in the verse in question 'the eye' is being used to refer to both eyes and to their role in the body...

Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Leviticus 19:18

"'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

1 John 4:1

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Part of Matthew 21:28

"What do you think? There was a man who had two sons.

John 6:

5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?"
6 He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.

Galatians 1:10

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Romans 14:18

because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.

1 Thessalonians 5:

19 Do not put out the Spirit's fire;
20 do not treat prophecies with contempt.
21 Test everything. Hold on to the good.

Sirach 18:18

A fool is ungracious and abusive, and the gift of a grudging giver makes the eyes dim.

Psalm 11:4

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.

Deuteronomy 16:19

Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent.

Genesis 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Ephesians 3:10

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

Sometimes, depending on what is helpful to a person to learn:

Part of Proverbs 12:23

The prudent keep their knowledge to themselves,

You may agree there are times when it's advantageous that a person learns that they thought they knew things but really they were guessing all the time and you may agree that a person may think that another person doesn't have the answer but really the other person does have the answer.

some call this eye the pineal gland.
and in the bible the place where Jacob wrestled with the Lord / Lords angel he named that place Peniel
and peniel means - face or vision of God; that sees God.

It's late, so I'll let you do your own research, but the key word here is "lamp", not necessarily, "eye."

That ties the concept of single eye or one eye with seeing with a 'right view'. The lamp enables the eye to see, lighting the path. What is that lamp that makes an eye single?

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path ...

Just like a lamp Illuminates a room so that everything can be seen, the eye Is the lamp of the body,It simply means a person sees out of their eyes.

The person might be blind, but If they are delivered, when they look at something they will see with their eyes.

The rest of those scriptures take on a spiritual meaning.
