The Genesis account does not specify how long each creative day was- each "day" could have been thousands to millions of years.
And what informed you to believe this was the case? Certainly not the Bible itself.

1000 is a symbolic number representing a long period of time, just as 7 represents the Holiness of God and 6 represents Humanity. There isn't one passage in the Bible that says anything about seven ages.having to pass before the end. This is an assumption based on adding together the ages in Genealogies, and the belief in Dispensationalism.

It is not a coincidence that the thousand year millennial of Jesus Christ corresponds to the final thousand year period, which is a seventh thousand years, and as such it is also said,

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8 [KJV])
The wisdom of why God created in six days and rested on the seventh was to foreshadow the length of time he purposed for this heaven and earth to exist.

The Sabbath was made, hence,

But even so, sure, heaven and earth itself was brought forth into existence in six days, and on the seventh the Lord rested, this is obvious, but the entire scope of the the first seven days encompass a foreshadowing of the length of time this heaven and earth will exist.
I would agree its not common. But in regard to Christ our Sabbath rest it is a result of a work of His faith according to a labor of love . Therefore completing the seven day he did work. Seven in that way is used for complete or perfect as that which nothing more needs to be added or taken away

The thousand year millennial is a rest all the people of God will enter in and also rule on this earth with a "rod of iron" over those who survived the judgments to befall the earth at the second coming of the Lord, and after the millennial, there will be a new period of "eons of eons", which is mistranslated as "forever and ever", in which case these eons will commence with New Jerusalem coming down from heaven, and the people of God will live in this holy city. We know how these eons begin, but what happens after is a mystery, but we know that his people will continue to delight in whatever God creates, and will never die as death will be be no more just as the former earth.

Hi Pappq.

I would be careful, no one knows the day or hour.It remains a faith issue. There are varying opinions to the number of years until the end of time. Depending on how men come to their own conclusion. And the same applies to your conclusion on the word thousand representing a literal thousand years and not the word thousand as it is used in a majority of other places to represent an unknown to whatever is in view. He will come like a thief in the night on the last day...

We are the kingdom of priests that reign with Christ on earth as we hold out his gospel of peace he affects a faith in men by which they can believe to the salvation of their soul. . If we take the literal meaning of the word, thousand .He is over a thousand years late. We have been reigning with Him for 2,016 and rising and we are still here. We live in the first resurrection which began when Christ said it is finished, the veil was rent to mark the last days.

Now the Catholics say the saints that have left here are reigning with Christ in the last days. And men here are not declared saints while they remain. They cannot reconcile the difference even though they say they come from the Amil camp.(no literal thousand years)

How would you reconcile the difference in that parable?

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Correct, no one knows the day nor the hour, but we can come to know the proximity of his coming, hence,

"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. (Matthew 24:32-33 [NIV])
Even the book of Daniel accurately predicted that Jesus would come 490 years after the decree to restore Jerusalem, and although many were already expecting his first appearance around that time based on that 70 weeks prophecy, no one knew the exact day the savior would be born, until it actually happened. And already based on certain other prophetic days in the book of Daniel, we are approaching the completion of a possible completion of the 1335 days prophecy, which would land us somewhere between 2021 to 2027. And already many prophecies in the book of Revelation have already come to fulfillment, we are awaiting the destruction of the whore of babylon, which happens shortly before his coming. We are very very very very very very close, make yourself ready.

Ah, Not knowing when Jesus would be in Jerusalem was the exact cause of the diasporia of the Jewish people until after the rapture. You see, Daniel predicted to the exact day, Jesus would be there. Yes, there were a few but the Messianic church at that time continued its hunt for a perfect lamb(s) for the upcoming holiday. They did not and many still do not believe that Jesus was or is the Messiah. This caused God to disperse them throughout the nations on earth and loose their land until a latter time some 2000 years later.

The rapture is the event where no man knowth the hour or the day. However, as you stated we know the season and that the time is close. Because of this, we should be watching for him or risk being left behind like a thief in the night. After the rapture God will again turn toward his chosen people (Hebrews) and bring roughly 1/3 of them through the Tribulations.

The Second coming has more information about it than all of the information about Jesus during his time in Jerusalem. We exactly the tribulations will be 7 years (Daniel's 70th week). We know the abomination desolation will bring on the last 3 1/2 years in which God will rain down his wrath on the human population. At the end of this 3 1/2 years, all nations will send their military to the southern portion of the Jezreel Valley known as the 'valley of Megiddo" where the final battle (Armageddonn) against Jesus will take place. Then 1,000 years of blissful peace.

Now, which day are you going to look for because you don't know when it will be??????????

The Raptured church (Jesus's Bride) will be along side him on white horses. However, only HE will do battle with the armies.

Boy, mankind's ego has some really big brass cojones. you can see it on the raise today.

You're in great error, and not just you, but many other believers as well. Daniel's 70th week came into fulfillment right after the 69th week, as the 70 weeks prophecy were consecutive weeks from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the time the messiah would establish and confirm the new covenant with his people, which is Jesus Christ. And the rapture itself occurs at the second coming of Christ, since the church will be taken away by angels to meet the Lord in the air at the sound of the last trumpet, which is when he finally descends unto the earth.

You can't use Rev 20 as evidence of a 1,000 year millennial reign on earth because that isn't the meaning of that passage.

In this passage, John sees souls in heaven who were beheaded by the "beast" (Ottoman ISLAMIC Empire, they are the ones who behead). These souls are alive in heaven because they took part in the first resurrection which is the spiritual one. Once a believer comes to Christ, they are reborn (aka born again).

This first resurrection of the soul is what gives us eternal life. So, the souls John saw in heaven were the beheaded but all who are saved and die are alive in heaven reigning with Christ.

Blessed and holy are they because they will not face the spiritual death which is the second death.

The Saved get two resurrections but one death. The Unsaved get one resurrection but two deaths. Look at it like this:

SAVED: Born, 1st Resurrection (born again), DEATH (physical), 2nd Resurrection (their bodies come back incorruptible).

UNSAVED: Born, Death (physical), 2nd Resurrection (physical), 2nd death (spiritual)

I hope this helps. If not, read John Chapter 3 and 16-17.

Christ comes back to reign but we don't know how long it will take for Him to defeat all His enemies and death and turn the kingdom over to the Father.

the number 1,000 is figurative.

10*10*10

'greatness' cubed -- it means "a whole lot"

the number 7 is also figurative. it implies a perfect, right number.

it's very clear that Matthew's genealogy has gaps -- that it was purposefully given with gaps in order to present a series of 7's.
I agree with that. Numbers in the Bible are used symbolically. Also the Eden story is a form of Parable. Compare some of its details with the events leading up to the arrest of Jesus in the Gospels.

You are absolutely correct!! You understand things that men of God much older still cannot grasp. My hat is off to you sir. The effects of Darby and Scofield appear to be wearing off. Congrats.

As for Daniel 9, so many get it wrong, but not you. You have it right. But allow me to expand on what you said. We have to use the KJV as other versions are mucked it up.

First off, 70 weeks of years (490 total) were determined for a specific group.

“Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city" to accomplish certain things.

Therefore all 70 weeks, including the 70th are for Daniel's people (Israel) and its holy city (Jerusalem). None of these things apply to a 7 year world-wide Great Tribulation. In fact the GT only lasts < 45 days as we see in Daniel 12. THERE IS NO 2,000 + YEAR GAP TAUGHT!! This is fabricated by ignorant men who did not know how to properly interpret Dan 9.

Pappq is exactly right. The years ran consecutively. Although 70 weeks were appointed, only 69.5 happened as Christ was cut off half way into week 70.

You are correct about Eden. If we read carefully, we find that two trees were already in the Garden, Tree of Life and Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. They represent Christ and Satan respectively.

The "fruit" of each tree is very different. One brings about eternal life, the other death and damnation. "We are to judge a man by his fruits," right?

The figure of 1000 represents a large number. In Revelation numbers are used as symbols one example is the 144000 from the 12 tribes of Israel. The figure seven is also used there to represent different features in Johns visions. The quote from Peter if taken literally would also mean that to be consistent you need to treat every mention of a Day to mean 1000 years. So Jesus spent 40,000 years in the wilderness being tempted and 3000 years in the tomb. If those examples look
ridiculous why shouldnt the Creation and the Millennium passage be any more unlikely

Yes Christ is the tree of life. Adam was prevented from eating from the tree but Christ gave himself to us freely.
Other details include Adam sleeping- the Disciples sleeping, Cheribim with Swords' Disciples with Swords, Adam and Eve naked A young man ran naked from Gethsemane Satan possessed Judas Satan used a Serpent

Can you elaborate on the scripture where you derived the great tribulation to last less than 45 days? I know that the great tribulation will perhaps last only a few weeks, perhaps months, and I derive this knowledge based on how long it took to bring forth the plagues against Egypt, but its exact length of time is a mystery to me, yet I know it will not be for 7 years as many have falsely come to understand.
